-----------------------------------
The smell of many different meals filled the room. Everyone was sitting at the table, already eating.
Of course Mika and Crowley weren't there.
Yuu sat down on a chair and started eating as well. I sighed quietly before joining the table.
I starred at the different meals, not knowing what to eat.
I didn't really feel like eating something. Even though everything looked so delicious, I didn't really want to eat anything of it. I had no appetite for any of these meals.
In the end I just sat there, not eating anything. Sighing in frustration, I quietly stood up and excused myself, before leaving the room.
I strolled down the hallway, wondering where Mika and Crowley might be.
While doing so, I starred at the ground, trying not to lift my feet from the ground.
I swear, if I had wool socks I would probably slide down this hallway like a ninja.
"The floor looks so expensive, it would be a shame if it gets damaged." Kaze suddenly spoke up, appearing next to me.
I didn't reply, but glared at him. As Kaze started to stare back at me, we ended up in a staring contest for a short while. It ended as Kaze started to feel uncomfortable with my stare and looked away nervously.
"Alright. No floor damaging then." He pouted like a little kid and crossed his arms.
I sighed frustrated and rubbed my temples, before moving on.
"So, you are trying to find Mikaela and Crowley?" The demon asked and tilted his head, while following me.
I just gave him a small nod, without looking at him.
Kaze seemed to irritated by the way I replied, since I heard him huff behind me. But I couldn't care less about it and just kept walking.
"Are you mad at me? What have I done to you?" He asked frustrated as he tried to catch up with my speed, that I kept increasing.
As I didn't reply, I heard him groan in pure annoyance.
"Hey! Stop ignoring me!" He shouted in frustration and tried to grab my wrist.
But his hand simply passed through mine.
As I realized what just happened, I turned around, looking at Kaze with a worried expression. He glared at the ground, gritting his teeth.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked out aloud "You are acting totally strange since a while!"
As Kaze heard my words, he shoot his head up and glared at me.
"I am acting strange!? Why don't you look at yourself first!? You just keep running away from everyone! You don't eat or drink, and I can't recall you really sleeping. You only take stupid few minutes naps and only when you are bored and don't know what to do. You are the one acting strange! You aren't acting like your usual self! If I look at you, I don't see the Yuna I used to know." Kaze yelled at me, his hands balled to fists.
I didn't even question one single word that came out of his mouth, as I snapped back at him.
"Stop acting like you know me! You don't know anything about me! Stop acting like a worried friend of mine!" I shouted at him as I balled my hands to fists. "You... you are nothing but my weapon! So don't treat me like I'm your best friend, you need to worry about."
The next moment I heard a crash next to me. I turned my head in surprise, only to notice that I smashed a hole into the wall next to.
Shocked by my actions, I pulled my hand to my chest, clenching it tightly.
I glanced over to Kaze, who stood there quietly, starring at his feet.
As I recalled the words that came out of my mouth, just a moment ago, I clasped my hands over my mouth in shock.
"Kaze... I..." I lowered my head ashamed by what I said.
"Well, if that what you said is true, then-" Kaze raised his head, looking at me with pitiful eyes "Then I will stop treating you like a friend and make your life a living hell."
My head shoot up as I heard his words, but before I could say anymore, the demon vanished into thin air.
I just stood there, in the middle of the hallway, trying to catch up to what just happened.
How could I say something like this? What is wrong with me?!
Furthermore- I looked at the wall next to me.
I need to control my emotions.
The sound of door opening, pulled me out of my thoughts. My whole body tensed up and I slowly turned around, with a worried expression.
Mika and Crowley were coming out of the room and starred at me with confusion.
"What is wrong with you?" Mika asked, while glaring at me with the same annoyed expression he gives me every time.
Annoyed by his 24/7 glare I crossed my arms.
"I just had an argue. So calm down Blondie." I snapped back at him with a pissed expression.
Crowley, watching us two glaring at each other, like we were about to snap the opposite's neck, seemed pretty unfazed by our attitude.
Sighing tiredly, after a seconds passed by, Crowley looked at me.
"I don't care what you two are doing with each other, but if Ferid asks me about the hole in the wall, I hope you will stand up and tell him that this is your doing." He muttered while his eyes darted from me to the hole in the wall.
Crowley then glanced back at me again, waiting for my answer.
I lowered my arms, but avoided eye-contact with him, as I slowly nodded.
"Yes. I will tell him the truth, but only if he finds out about it while I'm here. If not, you can snitch me, if you really want to." I looked at Crowley and brought my index finger to my eye "I wonder if he would believe you, though."
As I lowered my hand again, I smiled at the red haired vampire.
"You're quiet a handful girl." He muttered with smile, before disappearing back into the room.
Maybe I can get back my phone now, if I try.
Determined I hurried after him into the room. I rushed past Mika, not giving him a single glance.
He didn't really cared about that either, as he just followed me into the room. I stopped at the edge of the table and looked over to Crowley, who was holding a whine-glass in his hand, filled with blood.
There was a second glass, filled with the same crimson liquid, standing on the table.
I supposed it was Mika's, but I knew that he would never drink it, without knowing where it is from.
Or should I say, as long as it isn't from Yuu.
Mika stopped right next to me, which was kind of surprising, since he usually kept a distance from at least five meters. Confused by his sudden behavior, I peeked at him.
He was starring at the glass on the table.
"Well that would explain a lot." I whispered quietly under my breath.
Mika shot me a death glare, before looking away from me and the glass.
Crowley seemed to notice what's going on and placed his glass on the table, before looking at us with a curiousness.
I started to feel uncomfortable and looked away nervously.
I actually wanted my phone back, but I feel way to uncomfortable for this.
Maybe it was, because I saw Crowley drinking blood from a glass. It's not nice to just watch people 'eat'.
"Hey, Yuna. You aren't quiet human, right?" Crowley suddenly asked out of nowhere.
After hearing his words, Mika's body tensed up.
I didn't reply and tried to stay calm at his question.
That's no topic I really want to talk about. Especially not with Crowley, a vampire.
Mika turned his head to me, waiting for me to answer Crowley.
I clicked my tongue and turned to look at the red haired vampire.
"Yeah, you could say so." I replied bluntly and crossed my arms in front of my chest.
Why would he even ask something like this all of sudden?
Hopefully he is satisfied with my answer.
I was confused as Crowley didn't reply, but simply picked up his glass again. My body suddenly tensed up.
"Well... did you drink human blood before?" He asked with a grin, as he swayed the whine-glass in little circles.
My eyes widened in shock.
I swear to god, if had eating something in the moment I heard his question, I would have choked on it.
Even Mika was shocked by Crowley's question.
I glanced at Mika for not even a second, before looking back at Crowley.
"O-of course not." I shuttered, glancing at Mika again and then back to Crowley.
Crowley looked into the red liquid of his glass, seeming to think about something.
A heavy silence filled the dinning hall, as none of us dared to say something.
Minutes passed by, until Mika turned his heel and left the room without another word. The door fell shut behind him.
Crowley and I were alone in the room. Something inside me told me to leave as well, but instead of leaving immediately, I waiting a few more moments.
As the vampire still didn't seem like he wanted to say more, I also spun around, reaching for the heavy wooden door.
"Wait." His deep voice echoed through the empty room.
I pulled my hand away from the door's handle and slowly turned back to Crowley.
"Yes?" I asked nervously and looked back at him with a nervous smile.
"I want to know the truth. Mika is gone. You don't need to lie again." He said and stood up from his chair.
I averted my eyes and felt stupid as Crowley waited for me to answer the same questions again. I felt him looking at me, as he sat down at the edge of the table, still holding this stupid glass.
Sighing in defeat, I looked back into his eyes.
"Yes, I drank human blood, once. But that was quiet a while ago... and to my defense, Kaze persuaded me." I huffed and crossed my arms, looking away in annoyance.
Crowley suddenly grinned at me with amusement.
Confused by his reactions, I started to fell nervous and uncomfortable.
"W-what?" I asked nervously and avoided eye-contact with the vampire.
"Well... I just realized that your sudden switches between being cocky and shy are kind of funny." He explained with a smile and placed the glass next to him, my eyes fixed on it "Just like your changing eye color from turquoise to crimson red and back to turquoise."
I didn't know what to reply, as I starred at Crowley completely confused. I couldn't believe that my eye color keeps changing. I mean, why should it?
"Let's see..." He muttered, seeming to think about something, as he fixed his eyes darted around the room.
I tilted my head confusion. I should leave, before I end up doing something stupid again.
As I took a step back, something wrapped around my wrist, keeping me from leaving. Starring down at it, I noticed that it was Crowley's hand.
"Hey!" I shouted at him "I wanted to leave." I complained and glared at him, trying to pull away.
Suddenly a silver plate appeared in front of my face, showing my reflection. A pair of crimson eyes starring back at me filled with furry.
"What?" As I realized that Crowley was right with my eye color, I starred at my reflection in shock.
My eyes turning back to their normal color.
The vampire let go of my wrist and placed the plate on the table. I immediately pulled my hand to my chest.
Crowley smiled at me, like nothing ever happened. That's totally freaking me out. I kept glaring at him without saying another word.
"Since you don't seem to have anything else to do, because you don't seem in the mood to eat with your friends-" The red haired vampire stood up, picked up his glass and walked back to his chair "Why don't you stay here and join me, instead of destroying the mansion."
I gritted my teeth at his last words and shoot him a death glare.
"That was an accident." I snapped and balled my hands to fists.
"Well, better make sure you don't have another one." He suggested calmly and gestured to a seat across from him.
I glanced over my shoulder, looking at the door, before turning back to the vampire. Sighing quietly, I walked towards the chair across from him and sat down quietly.
What kind of stupid idea is that to just join a vampire during his meal. I mean I wouldn't even want to do join a human during their dinner, but joining a vampire fells even worse for some reason.
"You are really weird." Crowley spoke up and placed the glass in front of him.
"What? I'm not weird." I scoffed and glared at the vampire.
Hearing my words of defense, he grinned, as he leaned onto the table and rested his head on his palm.
"So... are you telling me that you are normal?" Crowley questioned with a smirk tapped with his fingertips on the table.
I leaned back into my chair, avoiding his eyes, as I thought about a reply. Since he didn't say another word, I assumed that he will wait for my answer.
"Well, no. I wouldn't say, that I'm normal, but I'm not weird either! I'm just... not normal." I mumbled under my breath and tilted my head, kind of disappointed by my own words.
Crowley immediately noticed my sudden drop of mood and grabbed the glass, which was supposed to be Mika's and shoved it in front of me.
I raised and eyebrow and gave him a questioning look.
"Well, since you aren't going to eat the food your friends made and since you are probably somewhere between human and vampire, you may also drink this. I don't really think that it might affect you in any way, since you would have said so, as you told me that you drank blood before. You aren't someone who would only tell half of the story." Crowley explained, not leaving any space for questions.
"Half human. Half vampire." I whispered to myself, as I starred at the thick crimson liquid, slowly swaying back and forth.
"Can you live with that statement of yours?" The vampire suddenly asked with a curious expression.
Smiling slightly I lifted my head to face him.
"Yes. I think that sounds better than saying, 'Somewhere between human and vampire'. It kind of sounds like I'm still trying to decide where I belong to. But I don't want to stand in the middle, breaking my head over the question, 'Were do I belong to?'." I smiled at him, my eyes shining with confidence "Why choosing one, when you can be both?"
As Crowley heard my words he looked at me quiet surprised.
"You're still weird." He muttered under his breath as he brought the glass back to his lips.
I just smiled satisfied at his words.
