Chapter 6 - TruthSeeker ✔️
TruthSeeker looked into her large dragon sized mirror. She had many deep scars along her neck because of the fight that were now covered in dried blood and grit, but other then that she was fine. WaveDrift had looked fine too, other than having to need a serious rinse. She was home alone, because her family had left to go to another meeting again. The stairs creaked. The wind blew. Everything was at peace.
Something feels wrong, there's something I'm missing.. her mind told her. Okay — wind blowing — that's normal, it always blows fresh air. Coldness? Yeah, I live on a mountain, sharp breathing is normal. Quietness? No - I'm home alone! It's supposed to be quiet, other than the deathly annoying creak in the stairs that I've only heard when....
Her eyes widened with sudden realization and threw herself into her tiny closet next to her bed just to hear the faint breathing become louder. She quietly closed the curtain again and cowered into a ball. Something warm touched her body. She looked over to see black eyes staring back at her. She would have screamed, but the other dragon shut her mouth. The thing that was coming up the stairs, probably a StoneWing based off of its thump thump sound it made, seemed to have gotten louder. She twined her tail around the mysterious dragon that was also in her closet, terrified. The dragon looked shocked, but didn't break away. Her door creaked open and she heard a low raspy voice whisper.
"Are you in here, my little inchworm?" He growled. The other dragon in the closet slowly got out and opened the door. It was a dark grey dragon with a mixture of black in between. Black eyes and multiple rings around his talons. He looked like a fairly old StoneWing that was much larger than most. Wrinkles were starting to form on his face. He was dragging a bag that looked like it was in a shape of a small dragon. The other dragon in her closet was very light grey, almost white, with some black rock like things. She also had black eyes, which wasn't surprising. Two shiny metal bands were on her front right foot. TruthSeeker sat there, stunned, and the young female that was around her age put a metal strap around her mouth, keeping it shut.
"You brought.. a.. WINDWing....... to this house?! We already got this one, the idiot kept trying to come in like he owned the place! I knew that I couldn't kill him, he was just a youngster! Now we have, not one, but two WindWings that we don't know what to do with." The male said, almost throwing the dragon in the bag onto her bed. The female came up, she was guessing that it was his daughter.
"Can we not kill her? Please?" She looked up at the older one sadly. TruthSeeker nodded frantically with her. The other dragon sighed and grabbed some ropes.
"Fine, but she is going into the bag. Ahh, take the other one out. Put him on my back, he is already unconscious. But I'm warning you Igneous, don't regret this or your mother and I will not be happy." The female, Igneous, nodded and began to tie her feet together while the father got out the unconscious dragon. She gave a muffled yelp in surprise as WaveDrift came out of the beg. Igneous looked at her.
"... Who is that? Oh right... uhh... what's your name? Did you write it somewhere in here?" She turned her head and nodded at one of her pieces of homework that she had forgotten to throw away.
"Oh! Hi... TruthSeeker, it is?" TruthSeeker nodded and did her best to smile, even though she was being tied up. The older one gave Igneous a glare and shoved Truth. She fell to the ground, unable to get up because he held her down. The female finished tying her feet together and she felt the other dragons claws get off of her. TruthSeeker relaxed and tried to get up but fell over again. The male grabbed the sack and told Igneous to hold it open. He threw her in headfirst and Igneous began to tie it behind her. She felt herself being lifted from the ground and thrown onto something hard, probably her bed. It was a while of mutters and growls before she felt herself yet again be carried off of the ground, and large wings were flapping. It had gotten darker in the time that had passed. The male probably blended right in in the deep night sky. And just like that, they were all off to who knows where.
