Chaper 1 - Truth. ☑️
Truth watched the dragons of Envy gather in a large meeting that apparently, only grown dragons were allowed to attend to, meaning that she wasn't allowed to come. Her mother, MistTalons, and father, SwiftRunner, had left her by herself home alone since Water, her annoying son - of - a - sheep brother, was out catching prey for her family. It was started a while ago by CloudRider that families with children had to feed their families and enough prey for two more individuals, while singular individuals had to just feed themselves. CloudRider was a nervous but fair queen, and taking it well even though she was a bit on the young side. Truth personally hated her, thinking that it was unfair to have to hunt for your family when other more skilled hunters who actually ENJOYED hunting could do it instead. The Queen always had to have long periods of 'rest time' for her brain to apparently, function better. Even in a never ending war. It was very frustrating to Truth and, especially, to her father. SwiftRunner was the Commander of Advanced Militia, the grade deciding if you were going to be a servant or medic, librarian, ect., or off to fight in the war, and stuff about the war. He was well known for sending young dragons off into a war that neither side could win, so many, if not all, dragons hated him. Swift' had felt terrible about sending dragons into the war, knowing that most of them would die, but he had to knowing that if he didn't the queen would either kill him or the StoneWings would swarm Envy and kill him instead.
A loud creaking sound came from below her, the sound of the door to her families small two-story hut, that stuck out on the top of one of the thousands of small peaks on Summit Mountain. The one the highest up, where the most snow formed was where the queens palace was. Home to the royal family and the queen herself.
Small talons clicked on the ice like floor and a low curse echoed through the house. Truth snapped her head around towards her bedroom door and carefully inched towards it to shut it, balancing on her two back legs. She heard the talons creaking get louder and she froze in horror. They were coming up the stairs. She took a huge leap at the door to shut it, feeling her body ramming onto the heavy door. The dragon was sprinting out of her house at record pace, its talons swiping at the cold ground floor, and there was nothing. No sound except her blood pounding in her ears. She cursed softly as her wing started to throb from throwing herself at the door. She hauled herself up and turned around, facing a mirror that was higher than either of her parents.
Truth has dark red scales with scattered dark peachy scales. She has a light reddish underbelly and wings. Her spikes were also light red. She had a snout that faded to peach and Amethyst Purple eyes. She had a short stubby neck. Her horns were long and pointy with them going down to a -._ shape. On her left wing there were bits of blood trickling out in different areas. Other than that she looked fine, and hopefully her parents won't catch it. She sighed. If her parents knew what happened then they too would became a threat for the anonymous dragon, most likely out in to kill her parents for what they did to their family or something.
Truth looked outside and noticed that it had gotten a bit late. The meeting was splitting up. So she hauled herself over to her hammock made of animal fur and grabbed her bear skinned blanket, going to sleep in an instant and dreaming of flying over Pyro, dragons celebrating and free at last.
Boom! Chapter one complete! If you didn't read the dragon notes you probably want to because they are kind of important in this story, so you should go and read that before continuing.
