Backstory: Whale grew up underwater. During the first few hours of her existence her father found out that she could not breathe underwater forever. He went to his father in law, Cobalt, and received a magic string bracelet that let Whale breathe underwater longer.

Whale was an animus but she was never taught about them. The school she went to was the same school her father and uncle went to. Darkness Academy, a secret school. It taught ways to kill, places to get weapons and poison, and only the darkest parts of history. 

After going there for a couple of years, Whale and Megalodon received news that her mother, Arctic, had died. At her funeral, she met Cobalt, her old animus grandfather, and Sargo, her disgusting, greedy second cousin.

Cobalt had a nice chat with Whale and Whale mentioned having random things do what she says and Cobalt was immediately suspicious. He asked Whale if she was an animus and she responded with, "What's that?"

Cobalt was quite mad at Megalodon. He went over to shout at him and Sargo came over to Whale. He looked slightly embarrassed for some reason and they had a conversation that went like this:

Sargo: Hey

Whale: H-hi, do you need anything?

S: *inhale* So......you know the SeaWing prince? *holds breath*

W: Prince Conch? Yeah what about him?

S: *exhales* ...I like him

W: *intense laughing and teasing*

S: *blushing* Help.

W: What?

S: Make him like me back please

W: How? 

S: I don't know! Say good things about me! Tell him I'm cool, something like that!

W: *smiles* Ah ok. But just cause we're related

Whale tried to get the prince to like Sargo. Over the next few months, she would say only good things about him and demand to see the prince over and over. Eventually the prince asked if Sargo was her lover and she gave up.

All this time, Cobalt had been discussing something with Whale's dad. Her magic. He had decided to mentor Whale and teach her magic. They would go to different places each time and learn different things. 

But one day, when Cobalt was attempting to teach Whale how to teleport he worded a spell wrong and it brought him to the Mud Kingdom where he was captured by MudWings. Whale didn't know what to do when he didn't come back so she did the only thing she could think of at the moment. 

Run. Fly. Get away. Find someplace she recognized and go from there. They were on a beach far away from home. Whale flew. A LOT. She flew for almost a month and felt completely lost until she recognized a mountain from somewhere... her school.

She flew until she found Silvermoon Valley. A place for weapons, poisons, assassins, and more. Upon arriving she was threatened by a Nightwing and Icewing. They would've killed her if Lemming and Copper didn't come. 

Lemming shot ice at the Nightwing's stomach and froze it to the point where she collapsed from the pain. Copper basically melted the Icewing. Both asked if Whale was okay and brought her to their home. A small stone cave. They have become friends and have learned to trust and protect eachother.
