Poems give light

to what we don't know.

Clear and lucid,

like the blue sky,

yet hazy and vague,

like a storm at night.

They mean what they say,

yet hide what they want

under a veil of rhyme

and tell tales so tall

they reach

what lies high above.

A blend of verse,

a river of rhyme

fills our head,

and heart,

and soul

with the words

that make poems

so fine.
