After a long stressful day, it was always great to be able to clock out, and just head home and relax.

Selena had just clocked out for the night, raising her hands to her temples to massage them, already feeling the tension melt away as she let out a soft breath of air.

She was glad work was over, it was Friday night, which meant...

It was time to check out what shenanigans her brother was going to invite her into attending.

This was a common occurrence,  her brother texting her at two in the afternoon with some crazy event that Selena just "had to attend," and that it would be worth her time.

And every time she was disappointed, usually discovering she was there because her brother wanted her to get some action, which made her cringe.

Her brother was an idiot, but they still stuck together, after all...

Brixton was all she had left. Well Brixton and Andrew.

Her brothers, Brixton being four years her senior, and Andrew nearly six years her junior.

Selena was smack dab in the middle of the two immature brothers.

She picked up her phone, and sure enough, there was a text from her brother.

I have a party to attend to, and you are coming with me.

Selena sighed and stood up, already walking out of her office and to the elevator hall, pressing the 'down' button.

Of course her brother would recommend a party, it is the best place to try and get his sister to get some action and not just be some stuck up, really tense journalist.

She heard the elevator ding as the doors opened, and the female stepped inside, eyes glued to the tiny screen as her thumbs began to type out her message to her older brother.

What makes you think I want to go to a party with alcohol, dancing, and most likely shady business.

She saw the small blip that her brother was typing a reply.

Because Felix's family is running it, well Felix.

And since we know him, he extended an invite to me.

Selena couldn't help but feel a little hurt by her brother's reply.

Why hadn't Felix told her about a party that he had arranged.

She then begrudgingly typed out, Why didn't he tell me himself?

There was no reply, even after waiting several minutes as she heard another ding, the elevator doors opening.

Selena sighed again, pocketing her phone as she then walked out to the car, unlocking and entering it as she then pulled her phone back out.

She opened her messaging app and pulled up her conversation with her friend Felix.

She thought for a long time as to what she had wanted to write to him.

Should she be angry? Upset? Worried that Felix preferred hanging out with Brixton of all people?

No offense Brix, she thought to herself, But you are an absolute jerk.

She then opted for Why wasn't I invited to your party? You jerk.

She then started the car and was about to put it into gear when she had heard the phone ring again.

With an annoyed groan, she picked the phone up and read the message.

Didn't think I would have to tell you, you don't like parties remember?

Selena smiled slightly as she then responded to him, You should have assumed that Brix would tell me. He always takes me out socializing on Fridays, you know this.

She promptly put the phone away as she then began her drive home, knowing she would have half an hour to freshen up a bit before her brother would pick her up.

----

Sure enough, her brother was right on the dot of 7:35, to which Selena had been sitting on her porch step for twenty minutes by the time she spotted the familiar cherry red of her brother's Jeep.

She forced herself to stand up, dusting any potential dirt off the back of her skirt as she saw a dark haired male exit from the car.

"You weren't waiting too long, now were you?" he remarked as he approached her.

Selena forced a smile on her face, "Nah," she lied, "I just got out here two minutes ago."

"Wonderful," he grinned, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and brought her close to him, eliciting a chuckle from her.

"Stop trying to get on my good side Brix." she remarked as she pulled away from him, tapping his chest gently.

"C'mon Lena," he remarked as he walked with her to the passenger door, "You know how much this means to me..." he playfully pouted, opening the door for her.

Selena let out a soft sigh, "You and I both know that the only reasons I am here are for a: to drive your drunk ass home later, or b: to help me 'get some action'." she made air quotes as she spoke.

Brixton sighed, "You know me so well." he remarked smugly.

"Yeah you idiot," she began, "I am your sister after all."

----

It didn't take too long to reach the Rosenstein mansion since the Sorenson siblings had been there countless times over the years, and Selena had already lost sight of her brother upon stepping foot inside the mansion.

It was loud, obnoxious, and the place reeked of alcohol, which was expected, Felix was a bit of a party animal.

Selena had been walking around, eyes searching for her brother, completely focused when she felt a tap on her shoulder.

With a startled gasp, she turned around, hand raised as she then smacked the unfortunate soul with the audacity to sneak up on her.

"Ow! The hell Selena?!" came the familiar voice of the party animal himself, Felix, who had a hand rubbing his slightly red tinted cheek.

"Sorry Felix!" she apologized quickly, "You know how antsy I get at these parties!" she told him as she moved to relax her arms at her side.

"Yeah, thanks for the reminder." he grumbled.

Felix was almost two years older than Selena, with soft auburn hair left unstyled and his bright blue eyes bored holes into her eyes. Selena usually found them to be kind, but right now his eyes were slightly intimidating. In his other hand was a bottle of beer, and he held it out to her, as if it were some peace offering.

Usually, Selena wasn't one to drink at parties, but she decided after being dragged out here for a party, she might ought to indulge, so she accepted the bottle, "I already said sorry, what more do you need?" she puffed her cheeks out before she took a sip of the beer.

Felix gave her a smirk, "Maybe a kiss to make it feel better." he teased her playfully as he pointed to the splotchy red skin on his stubble ridden cheek.

Selena sighed, and she shook her head, "Nah, don't want to catch the cooties of your latest lay."

"Hey," he remarked, "Just so you know," he argued back to her, "I haven't gotten laid in two weeks."

"Oh, practicing abstinence now are we?" she rose a brow at him, eyeing him suspiciously.

Felix huffed, "Oh please, we both know that is not why I would refrain from getting some action. Unlike some people." he remarked as he pointed a finger in a direction, prompting Selena to look over in that direction.

And sure enough, Selena followed his arm to spot her brother making out with some random short haired chick.

Wait a moment, she thought to herself and squinted his eyes.

"Oh god no, I don't want to see that!" she turned her head away, "I don't want to see Brix making out with anyone, whether they be a gal or a guy!" she smacked Felix in the chest before she downed her beer in one go, "Now," she turned her head to her friend, "I need to forget the dreaded scene. Burn it out of my mind."

Felix chuckled at her words, "You know where I keep the good shit." he remarked as he then yawned, "Well, I have to go to my study and sign some paperwork."

"Working this late?" she rose a brow.

"Yeah Selena," he began, "It is the reason why I haven't had any action."

"Oh, please don't remind me." she gagged playfully.

"Well, I just have a few papers to sign before Felix Rosenstein is back in action! So, have fun, and go get 'em tiger!"

And with that, he clapped her back before he turned and walked off into the party crowd.

Selena shook her head and moved towards the kitchen, and she opened the cabinet as she then reached in to grab a bottle of whiskey before she poured herself a glass.

And after a while, she felt the alcohol settle in her bones, letting out a satisfied sigh, before she set the glass down.

Her gaze flittered towards the mirror that stood in the back of the cabinet, staring herself in the eye, her cheeks rosy and warm.

She tentatively reached up and undid her hair tie, maybe if I do this, people will see, she remarked to herself.

What she didn't expect however, was another man approach her from behind, "Hey there missy," he slurred, causing Selena to turn and look up to him, "What cha doing here all alone? A guy break your heart?" the smell of alcohol dripping from his breath.

With a smirk, Selena did something she never did.

She reached up and grabbed this man by the collar, pulling him down for a heated, drunken kiss.
