V: |HERMIONE|
"Lord Hermes, Lady Hecate. It's an honour," the boy, Nico, and Headmistress McGonnagal said together and bowed.
Hermione was close to hyperventilating. Were these the ones from her books? We're they really Greek gods? But again, how was that even possible?
She studied the newcomers carefully; the man was slim and fit, with salt pepper hair, crystal blue eyes which had a mischievous twinkle in them, and a sly smile. He was wearing nylon running shorts and a New York City Marathon T-shirt, which Hermione found quite strange. A small towel was wrapped around his neck and a black business bag hung at his side.
The woman looked quite young, twenty, she guessed. She was dressed in a dark sleeveless gown. Her golden hair was gathered into a high-set ponytail, Ancient Greek style, just like she had read in her books. Her dress was so silky it seemed to ripple, as if the cloth were ink spilling off her shoulders. She had completely black eyes, was deathly pale and radiated power. Two old fashioned reed torches guttering with green flames hung at her waist.
She decided to argue with herself later and paid close attention to the exchange between the new people and her headmistress.
"Rise, it's good to see you again, young cousin," the man said looking towards Nico.
Cousin?
Nico respectfully nodded back.
"Minerva, it's been a long time my dear," said the lady to Professor McGonnagal, who smiled, genuine glee written on her face. "It indeed has, Mother," she replied, as the jaws in the Great Hall (except the new visitors) dropped together, dramatically. Nico wasn't spared.
"Whoa, wait, hold up, timeout," Nico said breaking the awkward silence. "You," he said pointing to Professor McGonnagal, "are a Half-blood? There are half-bloods in Scotland?!" He asked, turning towards the man, Hermes, she remembered, for the last part.
"All your questions will be answered in due time, little Cousin," Hermes chuckled. "As for now, well, your Father is kind of freaking out and is really worried as you were supposed to report to him...er, what's the time in the Underworld now, buddy?" He asked as he brought out a phone from his pocket. Hermione's eyes went wide as it glowed with a bluish light, and when the man extended the antenna, two creatures began writhing around it- green snakes, no bigger than earthworms.
"About 3 pm," rasped a male reptilian voice. "Did you get me rats?" it asked, hopefully, as Nico chuckled and the man let out an exasperated sigh. "Oh George stop it," rasped a similar voice, but female. Ron choked on the water he was drinking while she and Harry sat there with wide eyes. "Give him a break now, will you?" it continued. Nico gave a small laugh. "Hey Martha. Hello George. How are you guys doing?" He said, his eyes filled with happiness and amusement, which looked a bit strange in this dark guy, but oh well. "Nico!" The snakes exclaimed together. " We are good, thanks for asking. Have you got me a rat, perhaps?" The male one, George, finished. She saw as the boy just shook his head, laughing at the reptile's antics and addressed to Hermes. "Could you flash me back to my Dad's palace, please? I don't want to spend more energy than required, and I do have some from news for him. Not sure how he's gonna take it," he said, mumbling the last part but most of the Hall heard him anyway.
Hermione was desperate for answers to the million questions swimming about in her brain.
She was snapped out of her inner mind when she heard the lady, Hecate, speak. "I am aware of the news you bring Half-blood. Talk to your Father and be at Olympus in a few hours. The entire council will be there, including the camps and some.... Guests you can say," she finished looking at Professor McGonnagal, who simply smiled.
With that being said Hermes put his hand on Nico's shoulder and the boy ..... Disappeared.
The Hall was silent for a few counts and Hermione couldn't take it anymore. She needed answers. Now.
"Can anyone please tell us what is going on over here? Professor McGonnagal, who are these people? And how can the woman here be your mother, if we heard it correctly? And," she turned to Hermes. " Why do you have tiny snakes with you and even more importantly, how can they speak English? Beacuse we are not Parselmouths that is for sure. And-" she would've rambled on and on had Professor McGonnagal not cut her off. "Miss Granger if you would please wait a bit longer, all your questions will be answered soon. That is the reason we have our guests here. Students and Professors, please welcome Lord Hermes and Lady Hecate, two of the many Gods of Ancient Greece and Olympus."
The Professors, as it seemed, were too confused to even argue and simple bowed to the 'gods' and mumbled some greetings. The students however, had looks of utter disbelief on their faces, but before anyone could make a comment about it, Lady Hecate spoke up. "Olympus believes that it is time for you to know something that has been kept a secret from this world since the very beginning," she said. "The Fates have decreed this to be revealed for the sake of unity and alliance in the future. However, before anything is said, there is something else you must know. How many of you in the Hall know of Ancient Mythology, specifically Greek and Roman?"
Immediately some very obvious hands (Harry, Ron, her, most of the Ravenclaws, Professor Binns, Professor Trelawney and Professor McGonnagal) and quite a few unexpected ones (a small bunch of 2nd and 3rd year Hufflepuffs and select few Slytherins) were seen raised. Hecate nodded, satisfied with the response. "Good. You all know your Mythology," she smiled and then continued. "Now here is the fact. Whatever you know or have read about the Ancient Greeks, their gods, monster creatures, the Half-blood heroes and their quests, places like the Underworld and Olympus, it is all real. Our world has been co-existing along the Mortal world for millenia, and still does. Now before any of you begin to protest, you would also do well to know that it is from the Olympians, that the Wizarding Race originated."
Cue the disbelieving looks passed around and the Slytherin yelling all sorts of comments about how she was a liar. Hermione, however felt like she had been slapped. Hearing this statement made her feel that everything she knew until now was lie. How did the Wizarding world have no knowledge of Olympians if what Hecate just said was true?
The Great Hall abruptly felt silent. Hermione was about to say something when she realized she couldn't. My voice, she panicked. What the bloody hell is wrong with my voice! Her question was answered soon enough as Lady Hecate raised her hand and received full attention of the students. "Now, there is nothing to worry about," she said. "I have temporarily taken away all of your voices until I finish what I came here for, without much interruption. What I am about to say now has been kept from this world for as long as wizards and witches have existed, so I need you all to listen carefully and not jump to any wrong or misleading conclusion." The students seemed to relax a bit knowing that they will get their voices back and Hecate took a deep breath.
"The origin of the Wizarding Race dates back to the era of the fall of the Roman Empire......."
And so began the long awaited explanation that would open new doors for everyone.

Hello my readers!
i know i know i am an awful person for keeping everyone in the dark for so long, but i was helpless with my finals approaching, but i couldn't keep my mind off making up the plot and adding twists and turns to the story either, so i just had to publish this part, even though i planned to write a lot more for this. On another note, i sort of came up with an idea for a new book and perhaps i will go with it after i finish this book or maybe once i am free from the bonds of exams for this year. Its a crossover between Percy Jackson and the Samurai Rangers beginning immediately after the end of the giant war, with an alternate ending to it (you probably can guess XD)
i will keep writing the rest of the parts bit by bit whenever i can and i promise to update whenever i feel it is a decent sized chapter.
do comment and vote and criticise, and even provide ideas for unnamed campers which are probably gonna be OC's
Also, Happy New Year everyone. May 2018 be pleasant to you all (it sure as hell isn't gonna be one for me ;-----;)
