Chapter 15: Letters

It didn't come as a surprise when a few days after Harry's hearing and Percy's return that letters came in for all returning Hogwarts students. Two owls were needed to carry all of the letters apparently because two owls were heading right towards the window.

In total the birds carried nine letters between them. The first owl carried the letters for Hermione, Harry, Ron, Ginny, and Fred. While the second owl carried letters for, Thalia, Nico, Percy, and George.

The wizards excitedly opened their letters and silently read them. The demigods studied the letters for a moment trying to make out the exact words through their dyslexia that was making the words swim off the page and become all jumbled.

Finally, Sally took the letter from Percy and read it out to make it easier for them, "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," she read, "Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore -Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards.-.

Dear Mr. Jackson

We are pleased to have you joining us in this upcoming school year. Inside this letter, you will find all of your necessary supplies for the school year. The term begins on September First.

Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress."

"Two new books," Hermione said, "The Standard Book of Spells Grade 5, by Miranda Goshawk, and Defense Against the Dark Arts, by Galatea Merrythought."

"Well Percy, Thalia, and Nico will need to get everything: robes, wands, potion-making supplies, cauldron, pets -if they want one-, books. I'm assuming none of them will be wanting to play Quidditch."

The last part wasn't said with malicious intent it was just a statement of fact. Percy and Nico could not go into the sky without fear of being blasted down and Thalia no matter how much she tried to hide it Sally could tell she was scared of heights.

"Where will we get money, Mom?" Percy asked.

"Gringotts. I'm pretty sure you will have two vaults it's just a matter of which you want to use. Your father's vault may have more but each Wizarding family has a vault at Gringotts. Well, most do," Sally explained to her son.

"We best be off if we want to get all of this shopping done before nightfall," Molly told them, "Come along children. I'm assuming you will be joining us, Sally?"

"Of course," Sally replied sweetly.

The children rushed off to get ready. 'Get ready' means the girls went and brushed their hair out some. (Hera had finally convinced Thalia to let her even the girl's hair out. It took a little bit of bribery.)

Hera had given Thalia multiple different types of clothes she had: chitons, dresses, leggings, and shirts. Thalia's personal opinion was the leggings and shirts if she had to wear what Hera gave her out in public. Thalia threw on a pair of black leggings and a plain silver shirt. She kept her hunter's circlet on her head. It was a sign of her position in the Hunters she wasn't going to take it off and risk losing it.

Percy had eventually gotten Amphitrite to let him wear at least one pair of jeans and a T-shirt. Eventually, she agreed but only if he let her pick out the shirt. The shirt she had decided on was a casual formal type shirt. It was a blue button-up shirt that Amphitrite had paired with a dark pair of jeans and some dress shoes. Percy quickly combed through his hair trying to get any knots. He kept on his camp necklace. It had more function now than just being sentimental but Percy mostly kept it because of sentimentality.

Nico also put on a more casual formal outfit. It was also a button-up shirt with jeans but both his shirt and jeans were black. Nico kept on his ring since it was it also doubled as his sword. The ring matched the outfit nicely.

Harry put on a sweater and jeans to blend in with the Muggles they would most likely be seeing at some point. Ron wore a T-Shirt and jeans.

Hermione and Ginny left their room with a T-Shirt on each. While Hermione wore leggings, Ginny wore light jeans.

Sally had on khaki capris and a striped blue and white shirt. Her wavy brown hair was tied up in a loose ponytail.

Molly wore a floor-length floral-type dress. Her fiery red hair was loosely let down.

Fred and George both wore funky shirts that they had found at a Muggle shop one time exploring. They had some type of pun on them that didn't make too much sense but they liked the shirts. They wore shorts that didn't match the shirts at all but at least they would blend in a little bit.

"Alright everyone, come on," Molly said ushering the children out the door.

As they walked out, Molly called for the Knight Bus. Soon enough a purple triple-decker bus was in front of them.

"Welcome to the Knight Bus," the conductor said, "emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizards. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board, and we can take you anywhere you want to go. My name is Stan Shunpike and I will be your conductor this evening."

"Hello, would you be able to take us to The Leaky Cauldron?" Molly asked.

"That would be Eleven Sickles each, please." Stan held out his hand for the money. Sally had enough money to pay for herself and the demigods so she gave the conductor two Galleons and ten Sickles.

Harry still had a little money left over from last year and was able to pay his way through. Hermione was also able to pay her way through with the small amount she had left over. She had a bit of Muggle money with her to exchange at Gringotts when they got there. Molly only had to pay for her four children. Molly paid three Galleons and four Sickles.

"Well come on find a seat. We will be at your stop momentarily." Stan waved them through. The seats were crowded and the group ended up having to split up. Sally and the rest of the demigods ended up on the second deck while the wizards ended up on the third deck.

The bus took off with a big Boom and before anyone knew it they were in front of a pub called, 'The Leaky Cauldron.'

Next Chapter Gringotts. I got stumped on what Muggle clothes Fred and George would wear. Hermione and Thalia's clothes are definitely something close to what I would wear. All of the designs came from my own imagination so I can't really give you a picture to picture the clothing.

This is my idea for the houses for the demigods.

Percy-Hufflepuff
Reason: Fatal flaw is loyalty and his characteristics are more towards Hufflepuff.

Thalia: Slytherin
Reason: Fatal Flaw is basically ambition and want for power

Nico is put up for a vote. My first thought is Slytherin though because his fatal flaw is holding grudges.

Comment what house you think Nico should be in here --->
