~Wag's POV~

We've been sitting in these cells for what seems like days. In that time I've been thinking, and I realize....I'm in love with Carter. I sigh and punch the wall. Suddenly, Not-Carter walks into the dungeon and looks around at us. They had sunglasses on, probably to hide those demon eyes. It walks over to me and unlocks the cell.

"What do you want with Waglington!?" Tom shouts. Not-Carter ignores him, and moves the sunglasses. Blue...

"Carter...." I breathe. She nods.

"I've regained control...thanks to you...." She murmurs. I needed to tell her.

"Carter....I-" I begin to say.

"Carter! Help us!" Jordan shouts. I peek around Carter to look at him, and see him glaring at me. She puts the sunglasses back on.

"Wag I'm so so sorry....I have to do this...." She murmurs as a tear slides down her cheek. Her hand is raised and beam of power hits my arm. I cry out in pain and clutch the wound. Carter whirls around and storms out.

"What the hell was that?" Martha questions.

"Th-the person....controlling h-her body....t-torturing her...by h-hurting me...." I shakily answer. Dianite looks at the group.

"I've failed you all. I am truly sorry." He tells us.

"No brother. You didn't do this. Mianite did." Ianite speaks to him. I turn to look at Jordan, and he's still glaring at me. I've had it.

"Why do you hate me Jordan?" I ask him.

"I love her and I won't let you ruin that!" He growls.

"You do realize that Mianite threatened to kill me to get her to comply. Not you." I hiss.

"Aren't you the one who said nothing is going on between you two." Jordan sneers.

"That was before I realized that I love her. And I'm not gonna sit by while you threaten me over a girl who doesn't like you." I yell. Tom looks from Jordan to me.

"Calm down. Why is this such a big deal! Let Carter decide when we rescue her. She isn't some prize or trophy, she's a girl who is dealing with a lot of shit." Tom says to us sternly.

"Tom is right. Sparklez...if she chooses to be with the Wizard....you must respect that...." Ianite tells him.

"No. She wouldn't choose him." Jordan spits. The door to the dungeon flies open, and Mianite walks in and throws Carter to the ground. Her wings are broken, her dress torn.

"This stupid girl thought she could kill me. I thought I had a good enough hold on her, but someone here broke the control. And look at how she has paid for it." Mianite booms. He lifts her up and tosses her into the cell with me.

"You all will never see the light of day again!" Mianite says angrily. He leaves the dungeon, and I kneel next to Carter.

"Carter are you alright...." I murmur.

"My wings....hurt....everything..." She breathes and falls into unconsciousness.

~Tucker's POV~

~Earlier~

When whoever it is takes over Carter, we're stunned. Sonja and I have no words. When Carter sends the others who knows where, Mianite takes us back to the castle and all four of us are in his throne room.

"Sonja, Tucker, you are dismissed." Mianite states. I grab Sonja's hand and race off to our rooms.

"What do we do?" Sonja whispers.

"We need to kill Mianite. There's no way to fix this otherwise." I look at her. She nods and I pull her close.

"We need to find the others. When we killed Dianite in our own world....it was hard enough with four of us....." I add, remembering the battle and how it was Tom who landed the final blow to his own God.

"I'm faster, so you wait here while I scout everything out." I tell her, then sprint to find Carter....or what used to be her. Scanning the titles on the rooms, I find one that says

The Goddess of Betrayal

That's what Mianite called her....I knock on the door, and it swings open. I enter the room and see Carter on the ground, curled up into a ball.

"Carter!" I yell-whisper. Her eyes pop open, and I expected them to be black. They were Carter's bright blue instead. She shakily stands up and I help her.

"I won control back...and we need to kill Mianite. He forced his minion that took over my body to lock them all in the dungeon. I know where it is, so I'll go reveal to Wag that I'm okay, and we can plan from there." Carter breathes as we rush back to my room. Sonja is waiting for us.

"Carter oh thank the gods." Sonja says and hugs Carter. Carter smiles and grabs a pair of sunglasses.

"I'll be back." She murmurs and leaves. I explain everything to Sonja, and wait for the inevitable.

~Wag's POV~

I hold her broken body close to me. If she didn't get help soon....I couldn't even think it. All of us were losing hope. Dianite hasn't regained his powers because he needs to be in the nether. That's when I get an idea.

"Dianite!" I call. He looks over at me.

"I still have my spell to teleport people to the Nether. If I can aim it right, I can send you there, a long with Carter. She needs help badly..." I look around at everyone.

"It could work. Let's try it." Dianite stands in the center in his cell, Tom nearby. Pulling out my spell book, I carefully aim the spell. Firing, I miss. I try again, still no luck. Dianite moves closer to the edge and I shoot once more. Bullseye. Dianite disappears and I use the spell on Carter quickly.

"I can send all of you to the nether...." I realize.

"But how would you get out Waggles?" Martha asks.

"I have my spell book. I'll think of something." I reply. She nods solemnly and I just mass shoot the spell until I run out of Mana. All that's left is Tom, Jordan, and me. Suddenly, the pain in my arm grows worse. I collapse.

"Waglington what's wrong?" Tom calls.

"Wh-when not-Carter shot my arm earlier.....it still hurts...." I groan.

"It's alright. Use your spell to escape. Tom and I will be fine." Jordan looks at me.

"A-are you sure. I almost have enough mana to send you guys..." I cough.
"Wag don't push yourself." Tom warns. I sigh and curl into a ball.

~Sonja's POV~

We suddenly hear a loud crash from the throne room. Tucker and I race out there to find Carter locked in battle with Mianite.

"Carter you can't kill him! A goddess can't kill a god!" Tucker shouts, causing her to look over at us. Mianite uses this opportunity to jab the hilt of his sword into her ribs. I hear the crack all the way from across the room, and as Carter doubles over, Mianite breaks her wings. Tucker gasps and I scream. Mianite tosses Carter onto the ground.

"Sonja. Tucker. Leave. Now." Mianite growls. We immediately do as he says, and look at each other. How can we win when he's so powerful?
