~Carter's POV~

I open my eyes, and all I see is red.

"Good. You're awake Carter." A voice says nearby.

"Wh-where...." I murmur.

"You're in my realm. Don't worry, I'll have your wings fixed soon." The voice answers. My vision clears and I recognize the nether. I turn my head slightly and see Dianite tending to my wounds.

"Your father would be proud of you Carter...." Dianite tells me, and brushes my hair out of my face. Suddenly, we are joined by Martha, Steve, and Ianite.

"Oh good she's alive." Ianite exclaims. Martha kneels beside me.

"I'm sorry I was mean to you dear. My mom explained that it needed to be this way....to get my uncle's body back." Martha says. I nod, to show her I forgive her.

"W-wag...." I cry.

"He must have run out of mana....don't worry. Jordan and Tom should be here soon." Ianite explains. The waiting seemed like hours.

"Where are they?" Steve shouts. Wag...please...

~Jordan's POV~

Sitting in the cell alone, I can't help but let my thoughts wander to home. How is Jerry's tree? How is skipper....and my heart aches when I remember my love, Captain Capsize.
I missed her with all my heart, and I saw some of her in Carter. Suddenly, the door to the dungeons open and in strides Mianite. The look of dismay on his face is priceless, but it's soon replaced by fury.

"Where are they?" He growls. He turns to Wag.

"What have you done!" Mianite demands.
"Wag teleported them to the nether." I explain. The look Wag gives me is one of utter betrayal, but I don't care. Carter would be mine. Tom jumps up.

"How could you Sparklez! Is that the reason you refused to leave? So you can get Wag killed? You're low Jordan." Tom hisses.

"No need to be so purge-turbed." I laugh.

"Enough of this." Mianite turns to Wag, but Wag had pulled out his spell book.

"As much as I would love to stay and chat, I have friends to get back to." Wag says and teleports out of here. I smirk, knowing my plan worked.

~Wag's POV~

I stare at Jordan, eyes wide with shock. He turned me in, all because he's jealous. While Tom is yelling at him, I pull out my spell book and find my divine intervention spell. As Mianite turns to me, I teleport home. Everyone is waiting at the tower.

"Wag!" Carter cries out and rushes to hug me. She's okay...

"We need to rescue the four of the prophecy. They are the ones who must slay Mianite." Ianite announces.

"Sparklez....turned me in. When Mianite walked in and saw all of you gone, he ratted me out.." I cough out. Carter gasps in horror.

"Oh no! The wound I gave you...." Tears slide down her face. I shake my head.

"It's alright Carter." I whisper as my vision goes fuzzy.

"Waglington!" A voice calls, but I'm too far gone.

~Carter's POV~

Wag goes limp in my arms.

"Someone help him!" I cry out.

"You're a goddess Carter....you can do it if you try. Mianite may have deemed you the goddess of betrayal, but you choose your own path. We chose to rule over good, evil, and balance. What will you choose?" Dianite looks at me. I know Martha wants to be the goddess of magic....so I think.

"I am the goddess of dimension. I can enter any universe I want and recall everything." I exclaim, and a glow bursts to life around me. My torn dress regains its full self with added teal accents. My circlet is back on my head and has an opal in the center. The brand of Mianite I had on my arm vanishes, and I felt full of power. I kneel next to Wag, and place my hand on the wound.

Heal

I will in my head. When I remove my hand, there's nothing. His eyes flutter open and I smile.

"Wag..." I sigh in relief. I help him up and he hugs me tightly.

"Carter....I would be honored if you let me be your champion and follower." He murmurs.

"Of course." I smile at him. Thinking, I create a weapon for him.

Carternite's Choice

That's what I would call it. The sword appears in my hand and I present it to Wag.

"Congratulations Carternite." Ianite smiles warmly at me. I turn to her.

"I'm so sorry for killing you. I felt like I had no other option and I needed to keep wag and my father safe." I tell her. She laughs and puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Don't worry....and I guess now that you can travel between worlds at will....you can find your father and bring him home." Ianite muses.

"I could...couldn't I....I could bring all of them home. Spark....Mot....Lynx and Turner." I murmur. Wag takes my hand in his, and my face heats up.

"I'll stay with you wherever you go." He tells me.

"Wag...I-" I start.

"I love you Carter." Wag states. My heart skips a beat, and I realize that all along, I loved him too.

"I love you too...." I answer. Cheers come from the group around us and I laugh.

"Now, let's go save our friends!" I shout. Out of the corner of my eye I see a floating pair of goggles. I nudge Wag and his eyes widen.

"Observation Bot." He hisses. The goggles suddenly disappear.

"We need to go. Now." Ianite states. We all take to the air and begin our journey to Mianite's castle. Wag and I fly together and I feel safe knowing he's near. As the fortress looms into view, I can already see guards everywhere.

"That observation bot alerted Mianite of our arrival. Looks like we need to find a way to rescue the heroes." Dianite calls to us.

"Maybe I can teleport inside and free Tom and Jordan, then find Tucker and Sonja." I suggest.

"Not unless you can teleport me with you." Wag states. I sigh.

"Wag...." I start and he looks at me.

"Even if Mianite can't kill you directly, he can injure you close enough to death where you could die from your wounds. I won't let you get hurt." He grabs my hand. Nodding to him, I look at Ianite.

"You have more experience with being a goddess than I do. What should our plan of attack be?" I ask. She dons her all black armor.

"We fight. Carternite, we must weaken Mianite enough for one of the heroes to finish him. I'll have Wag guard you of course. Martha with me, and Steve with Dianite. No matter what, don't let harm come to the God of Goddess you're guarding. We lose focus and we could lose this fight. Now, let's do this." Ianite commands.

Wag gives me some battle Mage armor and I put it on. I pull out my father's rapier and we land. Guards surge towards us. Wag and I match each other's attacks like we've been training together for years. The group reaches the doors and we race inside, to find Tucker and Sonja standing with weapons ready.

"Mianite has tasked us with killing you guys." Tucker explains. I look at Wag. We needed to find Tom and Jordan.

"Go get Syndi and Sparklybum, Carternite. We can handle this." Steve glances at me. I nod and take Wag's hand. Focusing my power, I try to teleport us into the dungeon. When I open my eyes, I see Tom and Jordan. I did it.

"So you've returned....and you brought your wizard. Excellent."
