~Carter's POV~

Im tied to a metal table, my wings tied to my back. They won't remove them again, but Mianite is punishing me for seeing Wag. As Mianite's brand is burned into my skin, I scream in agony. Mianite myself walks in, and sits in a chair nearby.

"Carter....I talked to your wizard friend. I offered him a deal for you to return to the town, but he refused. He said that he didn't care what happened to you...I'm sorry, but I warned you..." Mianite tells me. I break down in sobs, and scream again as the brand is burned into my skin more.

"That's enough. She may return to her room. Carter....I'm glad you brought those two. Tomorrow, when I contact my brother's spirit with a deal....I'll make you into a goddess." Mianite croons and leaves. I'm lead to my room. I lied to Tucker and Sonja about the title on my door.

Goddess of Betrayal

~Tom's POV~

With four people gone, the town was extremely boring. Suddenly a wind breathes over the land.

I have been contacted by my brother.

Its Dianite!

"What did he say?" I ask.

He will resurrect me and Ianite, if I help him turn Carter into a Goddess.

"Do it." I state.

Why?

"Once you and Ianite have your bodies back, we can take him down. And if we can get Carter onto our side, that's three against one." I explain. Jordan flies over a minute later.

"Was Dianite speaking to you?" He questions.

I was Sparkleybum. Mianite will resurrect me and my sister in exchange for turning Carter into a goddess.

"No. There is another way." Jordan growls. I hit him in the head.

"This could be our only chance! And if we convince Carter to be on our side, she can help! Gods can't kill gods, but she could be an inside man....well girl....but come on Jordan." I yell. Jordan sighs and concedes.

Alright then. And sparkleypants, free Waglington. We will need his assistance. I will teleport all of you to the site of the ritual when I discover where it is.

~Wag's POV~

Suddenly, a door appears in the obsidian wall. Jordan walks in.
"Come on. We're gonna need your help." He hisses.
"What's going on?" I inquire.
"Mianite is going to resurrect Ianite and Dianite, but only if Dianite helps turn Carter into a goddess." Jordan explains, hatred dripping from his words like venom. Following him to fresh air, I see Tom, Martha, and Steve. Then I remembered. Carter's mission was to take Tucker and Sonja to Mianite.

I will teleport you now.

"Be ready guys. We have to kill Mianite, because once Carter is a goddess....she can't." Steve alerts us. We all nod, and I'm given my spell book, rapier, bow and arrows.

~Carter's POV~

I stand in the ritual circle, waiting. Mianite told me that Dianite agreed, and would be bringing the others. Wag....my heart aches when I think of him, but I'll be a goddess soon. Even though I don't want to, it's the only choice I have. Tucker and Sonja stand nearby.

"Don't worry Carter. You'll be great." Sonja tells me. I nod and look down at the dress I have to wear. It's color is black with purple sparkles, and had lacy sleeves to hide the brand Mianite had burned into my skin. I had a circlet in my hair decorated with amethyst and onyx. Suddenly the others appear, and I turn to them. My eyes immediately find Wag. Mianite appears from behind me.

"Let us begin." He announces.

Go ahead.

I've heard Dianite's voice before, and I vaguely remember what he looked like when he was alive.

"Carter....activate the ritual." Mianite commands.

"Yes my lord." I say automatically. I see wag flinch, but I turn and activate the ritual. My head starts hurting, and I feel dizzy. Wind whips up everywhere and I collapse.

"Carter!" Someone yells. I can't focus....who....why is everything....fuzzy...

"Wha...." I murmur as I black out.

~Wag's POV~

I watch as Carter falls to the ground and I call out to her, but she doesn't respond. Her face bears the image of confusion, and suddenly, nothing. Everything stops.
Mianite walks into the circle and lifts her up.

"Rise my child. Let them gaze upon you, the Goddess of Betrayal." Mianite's voice booms over everyone. Her eyes open, but they aren't blue like Carter's. They're black. The sleeves of her dress disappear, and I gasp in horror at them mark on her arm.

"Mianite! What have you done with Carter!" Tom shouts.

"She would still be here, if it wasn't for the wizard. When I talked to him, he could've saved her from this, but refused.

"No..." I breathe and fall to my knees. I look at the person next to Mianite. It wasn't Carter, it was something else.

"Now, show them your power!" Mianite commands her. Her arm is raised and we are all caged.

Brother.

Mianite sighs.

"Fine." He mutters and waves his hand. Ianite and Dianite appear in their bodies before us.

"Dianite!" Steve and Tom cry out.

"Mom!" Martha screams.

"My lady!" Jordan adds. I focus my gaze on Carter.

"Carter! You have to fight! Please Carter! You're stronger than this!" I shout.
Mianite laughs.

"Your apprentice is gone, replaced by my apprentice." Mianite sneers. Not-Carter waves her hand, and we are all inside a dungeon.

"Wizard....this isn't your fault..." Ianite groans. Martha was in a cell with her. Tom was with Dianite, while Steve and Jordan were stuck with each other. I'm all alone...

"He said that if I killed Martha he would let her come back....but I told him no..." I murmur.

"Oi mate, I'll give Mianite a right rumble!" Steve shouts. Tom was helping Dianite to his feet.

"Thank you Mot....er.....Tom." Dianite says. I look around at the group. How would we win this war?

~Carter's POV~

I'm trapped inside my own head. I watch as my body imprisons my friends, unable to stop it.

"Carter! You have to fight! Please Carter! You're stronger than this!" Wag's voice screams. Tears spill down my face.

"I'm trying Wag!" I shout, knowing he couldn't hear me. The minion of Mianite who has control over my body approaches me.

"Poor desperate girl. You're weak. Those people don't care about you." It sneers. Focusing, I break the cage that trapped me.

"This is my head. You can't tell me what to do in here!" I shout and tackle the intruder. We tussle on the ground, before I create a sword for myself.

"Die!" I scream, and drive the sword into its heart. The minion disappears, and I can feel myself back in control of my body. Now, to rescue Wag and the others.
