The orange-haired girl cast the spell on a mouse and it turned into a capybara. Today was a lesson where we have to convert experimental mice into other animals. Everyone studied this spell, so no one saw anything difficult.

Diana was able to turn her mouse into a beautiful horse, which impressed and of course received a lot of praise from the students.

It was your turn now. Standing in front of the mouse, you pulled back your fist.

Y/N: Metamorphie....-!

Lotte: Y/N!

You looked at her and saw how she pointed at your wand, which you recently received.

Y/N: Oops! I'm sorry.

Taking the wand, you looked at it in your hands, doubtfully.

Y/N's Mind: (I've never used anything like this, but it's worth a try...)

Making some movements with your wand, you exclaimed:

Y/N: Metamorphie Faciesse!

Great smoke enveloped the room. The students coughed and their eyes widened in fear when they noticed a large, eerie shadow behind the smoke. The students and Professor Badcock were shaking in fear, trying to figure out what kind of creature it was. When the smoke settled, it turned out to be just a ragdoll cat. Y/N immediately ran towards the creature and picked it up.

Y/N: Hello, cutie!

At that moment, the people in the room witnessed that you were a cat lover. Although you loved other animals, cats held a separate place in your heart.

Professor Badcock: -_- Alrigth. With this, I can note that all of you have mastered the magic of metamorphosis...

Barbara: Professor, Kagari still had to try.

The teacher, upon this observation, noticed that, indeed, a student was missing.

Akko: Today? But isn't there supposed to be a party tonight?

Professor Badcock: Yes, there is. The esteemed Earl of Hanbridge is visiting Luna Nova and we are hosting a welcome party.

Hannah: And he will be accompanied by his son, won't he?

Barbara: Yes, Lord Andrew, also known as The Viscount of Appleton. And he is not only a prodigy but quite handsome as well...

Barbara looked into your eyes, narrowing them.

They both laughed out loud as you tried not to yell at them. Your cat noticed your anger and ran towards the auburn-haired girl's leg.

The cat noticed the girl approaching and returned to your hands.

Y/N: Bad cat! Bad

But you approached him and whispered to him:

Y/N: I'll give you a tasty fish today.

You were standing in front of... Akko with rabbit ears? She noticed your presence and said:

Akko: Hey, Y/N.

Y/N: 0_0

Akko: What?... Oh, these...

She pointed to the ears.

Akko: It was an accident, the spell doesn't work in any way.

Y/N: 0_0

Akko: Say something.

Y/N: -_- Something...

Akko groaned, frustrated.

Y/N: Akko, look... Is it really not working?

But the spell reached you, covering you in smoke.

Akko lay down on her bed, dejected.

Akko: ...don't know what to do anymore. Maybe I'm a fool. I got a little excited then. I thought she was a great witch and that my powers were sleeping inside me. Y/N, tell me, am I talented or not?

Akko turned her head slightly to look at you, but you were "playing" with the tail that grew out of you.

Akko sighed, but suddenly jumped out of her bed and went to the bookshelf.

Y/N: Akko... Please... Don't tell me you are...

Akko: If I'm the witch with hidden radiance, then I should try!

Kagari took out another book and found the location of the source: The North School Building.

Y/N, noticing his friend was leaving the room, exclaimed:

Y/N: Hey! What about me?! How can I return to my previous form?

Akko smiled, maliciously.

Akko: Help me get my power and I will return you to your early appearance.

Y/N: Q_Q I hate you...

The new one put his hands on both of her ears and the rabbit screamed out of sensitivity.

But she ignored you and approached the new boy.

Akko: What was that for?!

Andrew: Huh? Oh I'm sorry. Are these ears real?

Akko: Of course not! I guess it's my ears though!

Y/N: Yeah, about that… I want my ears back! I don’t want anyone to turn me into their maid!...

Y/N's mind: (Again...)

Andrew: How did it happen?

You pointed to Akko and said:

Y/N: This girl made us like rabbits and cats with magic. And yes, don't be surprised if something like this happens again.

Akko: -_-

Y/N: Anyway. Why did you come here? Are you also interested in magic?

Akko: Is that so?

When you heard these words, you wanted to object, but you didn't want to ruin his sweet and bright perspective on the magic that always made you smile.

Akko squirmed as you placed your hands on her shoulders and turned her towards you.

The Japanese girl froze when she saw your eyes. They shone brightly in the dark and gloomy room. Just a few minutes ago, she was arguing with you, and now she couldn't look away from you. She smiled widely and nodded.

Akko: Let's see...

Akko looked at her surroundings to see what she could do with magic. That is, until she looked at a small animal over there.

Akko: Look! Squirrel! Metamorphie Faciesse!

But the lightning struck Andrew and his ears became like those of a donkey. You had three options: quickly return everything as it was, apologize or laugh out loud at him... Knowing yourself, you chose the latter option. Loud laughter filled the entire place. You clutched your stomach to stop it from bursting.

Y/N: Yes! I thought you would fail!

Akko left a little anger in you to try to solve the new problem.

But at that moment, a voice was heard nearby. You three were alerted. Akko grabbed you by the neck and the three of you hid behind a pillar.

Akko: I'll really be upset if someone finds me. If possible, I prefer not to be seen like that either.

She stood up and walked forward. You and Andrew went after her.

Akko: At this point, we have no choice but to find The Fountain of Polaris. I will have The Fountain of Polaris grant me the great magical power of the stars. Then the three of us should be able to get back to normal.

The three arrived at an old, abandoned-looking building. The only source of light was the moon and Akko's wand, so they stuck together.

Akko: It should be beyond the north school building. The Fountain of Polaris.

Once inside, the three of them walked down the hallway to the door at the end.

Y/N's mind: (What happened here?)

You asked yourself, walking carefully and examining the holes in the ceiling.

Akko: This might be it!

You and Andrew ran towards the voice and saw a door with a small sign on it.

Akko: Is this French?

Y/N: No, Akko. This is Latin.

Andrew: Your friend is right.

You and Andrew looked at that sign.

Y/N/Andrew: "Don't wake the sleeping Arcos. As protector of Polaris, Arcos will attack all those who approach the Fountain"

You smiled at Hanbridge as he was impressed with your knowledge.

Andrew: We should probably avoid entering carelessly to avoid any problems.

Y/N: I totally agree-

But it was too late. The brunette smashed the door into pieces with a rush. You and Andrew blinked.

Akko: Ouch... I should have used my head...

Looking up, Kagari saw an abnormally large polar bear in front of her, and the bear felt very sad to be bothered.

Y/N: Let's get out of here. Quickly.

Grabbing the friend's hand, everyone ran wherever they looked. The adrenaline of not dying was such that they began to shout the first thing they thought of. One out of regret, another with sarcasm and the last with a strange nostalgia.

Akko: I didn't expect that thing to be inside!

Andrew: Honestly, you have a fantastic school here!

Y/N: Blame whoever thought of putting a polar bear as a protector! I prefer the three-headed dog a thousand times!

Andrew: Look!

The three of them saw a ladder next to the broken stairs. Akko entered first.

Akko: Andrew, hurry!

But the bear broke the ladder, forcing Y/N and Akko to watch in horror at what would happen in the next moment. Despite all this, Andrew took advantage of his acrobatic skills, jumped and landed in front of you.

Y/N: 0_0 Wow.

But the calm did not last long, because the bear jumped on you. Dodging the attack, the three climbed to the top of the building. Due to the weight, half of the old building collapsed. Fortunately, Andrew was able to grab the edge of the roof. You grabbed his pants and Akko grabbed your tail.

Y/N: My tail...

Akko: I'm sorry.

Y/N: Oh no!

The protector jumped over the edge of the roof and broke it, sending them all to the ground. Suddenly, a magical bubble caught you in the air.

Y/N: Huh?

You looked to the side and saw her. Shiny Chariot, the witch who inspired Akko. She seemed familiar...

Y/N: ...! No way...

It was Professor Úrsula with an unusual hair color. You were speechless and your eyes widened. He looked amazing on his broom. Her scarlet hair hypnotized you... Now you understand what the girls felt when they saw Andrew.

Y/N: Shiny Chariot... Professor Ursula? Akko, look! It's Shiny...-!

But the rabbit was not aware of seeing her idol.

Shiny Chariot: Sorry, Y/N! But no one should know any of this! Memoriam dele!

The bright beam of her wand blinded your eyes and shot at you. But you could see how the professor carefully put the three of them on their feet and flew away. There are many questions in your head that you wanted to ask her... Yes, she couldn't erase your memory. It wasn't your first time, anyway.

Turning his head, the wizard saw Akko frozen. He waved his hand in front of her face, but she didn't react.

Y/N: Hey, Akko! Are you okay?

She did not say anything. Her gaze was limited to staring straight ahead, without moving an inch.

Y/N: Hey! Akko! Akko!

You clapped in front of her face.

Y/N: Akko! Akko! Hmmmm...

Y/N grabbed her ears and everything went well... Even more than that.

Akko: Kyaaaaaa!!!!

Y/N: Phew. You are alive.

Akko: Dumbass! Why did you grab my ears?!

Y/N: I didn't have a choice! What happened?!

Akko: I...-! I...-! I...

She remembered what had just happened and tears welled up in her eyes.

The three turned and saw Professor Ursula with a broom in her hands. You twitched, but you didn't ask unnecessary questions.

Ursula:… However, when visited by an immature witch, yet unworthy to wield its power, it vanishes from before her eyes.”  It seems that your visit was still premature.

Akko: Yes...

Akko began to sob. You felt an internal pain. You didn't know what that was, but you didn't want to see her in that state.

Akko: I had high hopes. I thought that, if I could find The Fountain of Polaris, I would be acknowledged as a witch with hidden radiance…

You approached her and hugged her tightly, placing her head on your chest.

Akko: Y/N?... What are you doing? You...

Y/N: Shhh... I may be a dumbass. But I can't see you cry.

Even though you were the complete opposite, you could feel her pain. Being someone underestimated and wanting to improve so as not to be trampled by others again... You managed to be someone powerful thanks to your path that granted you an omnipotent destiny. And it's a shame you can't tell your secret to your friend.

Akko, after what you said, she smiled.

Ursula gave Akko a smile, then turned to Andrew.

Andrew: I understand. I'll keep what happened tonight a secret between us.

And without further ado, Andrew accompanied Professor Ursula who guided him with the other visitors.

You sighed, deeply.

Y/N: Man... What a night.

Akko looked at the ground.

Akko: Yeah. Hehe, you looked a little cute with those ears.

The wizard snorted.

Y/N: Don't say that.

But Y/N looked, out of the corner of his eye, at the teacher and thought:

Y/N's mind: (Why is he hiding his true identity from everyone? What is the reason? In any case, I have to keep silent, but I will remember this...)
