Chapter 22: Disclosure, Resentment and Rematch.
Chapter 22: Disclosure, Resentment and Rematch.
-
In the dark area...
Voldemort: AAAAAH!
The villain climbed out of the crater with a cry and began to crawl wherever his eyes looked, leaving traces of his blood behind him.
Y/N: Hey! Where are you going? We didn't finish the "talk" yet!
Voldemort screamed in horror when he saw the approaching boy in Slytherin clothes from behind.
Y/N: Hey! Hey! What's up?! How are you, Tom Riddle?
The wizard poked his face.
Y/N: Uh... Where is your nose?
The victim continued to crawl further and further, just not to feel the next attacks of the boy.
Y/N: Listen, you didn't think that I would turn our magical battle into shooting games from "water pistols" and make sounds like moans, right?
The young wizard squatted down.
Y/N: Just tell me. Why did you wait for Harry to get an education? If you didn't show off and just threw him out of the window, then you would already rule the world. Your pride has led you to your grave.
He raised him to his level by grabbing his bald head.
Voldemort: I surrender...
The bald man panted.
Voldemort: P-Please... Let me go.
The wizard smirked mockingly at his words.
Y/N: How low you've fallen...
With a mocking voice, the wizard said, imitating him:
Y/N: "Please... I surrender... Help me!..." That's what you sound. You sound ridiculous. You ruin your image... more than it already is.
The wizard put aside the mockery and asked:
Y/N: Which death do you prefer? Quickly or slowly?
Voldemort: NO! NO! PLEASE! YOU CAN BE MY MASTER! DID YOU HEAR ME?! I WILL DO ANYTHING YOU WANT!
Y/N: Anything?
Hope formed on the villain's face.
Voldemort: Yes! Anything!
Y/N: Then my first order is... Your death!
Voldemort: WHA-?! NO! I-!
The boy didn't listen to him and hit him on the chest so hard that he formed a hole there. Voldemort first screamed, and then cried from unbearable pain. He could feel his organs turning into "porridge". Y/N pulled out his arm and roughly threw the body to the ground.
Voldemort: How could you defeat me?!
Y/N: I just said the spell: "Babble baloney."
Voldemort: What's kind of spell is that?!
Y/N: -_- Super effective.
The half-dead body finally managed to crawl up to its wand and abruptly turned around and said loudly:
Voldemort: AVADA KEDAVRA!
A bright beam shot from the wand directly into the face of the young wizard. It was strong enough to permanently get rid of any creature classifying itself as a living person.
Voldemort: Finally... E-EH?!!
When the villain finished, he froze in a stupor and his breathing stopped when he saw how the boy only tilted his head to avoid the attack.
Voldemort: No... way...
Y/N shook his head in disappointment.
Y/N: How cute.
With a mockingly "warm" smile, he took his wand and broke it. Standing up, he stood over the villain and said:
Y/N: Any last words?
Voldemort coughed twice before asking a question, in horror.
Voldemort: What's the purpose of your life?
The boy didn't answer right away and lifted his leg.
Y/N: Put my life back together.
Crack
-----------------

The strongest magician in the world remembered this moment while preparing a potion on the cauldron, which will help to find the location of Furui. It hasn't been long since Croix disappeared from the Academy, taking her technology with her. She was also on Y/N's "hunting season" list, but there was no hurry right now.
Y/N: Where are you, old hag? Where are you? What the hell are you up to?
Finally, the cauldron managed to display a murky picture that was replaced by a vivid image of what the witch was doing in some laboratory. It was impossible to tell the location, but the magician was able to see what she was doing. Furui watched with a grin on her face as Croix's flying pucks poured black liquid from her cauldron onto the witch's goblins.
Y/N: What the-?
Suddenly, the goblins on whom this liquid was poured began to get bigger and intimidating. Growling, their eyes turned red like fresh blood as the wizard nodded his head.
Y/N: That's it... -_- She wants to create an army of these freaks.
Knock Knock Knock
A knock on the door interrupted the wizard's thoughts, but he gave his permission to enter the room. The door opened and Diana stuck her head out.
Y/N: Diana?
Diana: I'm sorry to distract you. I just wanted to pass on a message from Andrew. He wants to see you and Akko at High Street today.
Y/N: Why?
Diana: I don't know. But there must be something important if he called you to talk in person.
The wizard looked at the cauldron.
Y/N:... Fine.
-----------------
-----------------
Akko and Y/N, as soon as they received the message from Diana, met with Andrew and sat on a bench in the city.
Akko: Geez, out of everyone it could've been, I never expected you to call for us.
Andrew: Forgive me, but I wanted to return this.
Andrew showed Akko's hat.
Y/N: Then why did you call me here?
Andrew just shrugged and looked at him.
Andrew: It's calmer with you. I mean... look over there.
The wizard looked to where Andrew said and looked at a crowd of protesting people.
Y/N: What the heck?
Andrew: The part of the reason I am heading to Parliament with my father. The enmity from a soccer match escalated and ended up exacerbating the hatred between our nation and theirs. our two countries have been ends since the Middle age. Only recently were things finally starting to improve. Yet look how little it took to set up us back on edge again. It's such a shame.
Y/N: -_- Did it start with football? Of course, it all started with football. How long have they been so angry? They behave like the inhabitants of middle age who found out that a witch lives somewhere nearby.
Akko: It kind of scares me too.
Y/N stood up, put on her hat, and turned to them.
Y/N: Am I beautiful in this?
Akko: No.
Andrew: Yes.
Akko: -_-... This is exactly the kind of situation we need Chariot for. Everyone should go and see Chariot's show. They'd be thrilled and laugh and get emotional. Then all their anger and negativity will be blown away. And then, all the world all be at peace!
Y/N and Andrew looked at each other with blank expressions on their face.
Y/N: I know an easier way to do it.
Akko: Huh? What is that?
Y/N: Natural selection. Let the strongest win, from which only a small number of people will remain. And there will be fewer fools. The problem is solved.
Andrew/Akko:...
Y/N: Or just turn off our technology with the news.
Akko: -_-
The son of an aristocrat could not restrain his laughter from his thoughts.
Andrew: You're so funny, Y/N!
Y/N: What? No. I am serious... Huh?
One of those strange cubes flew past the back of the bench to the crowd of protesters.
Akko: That thing! I saw it before!
Y/N: See you later, Andrew!
Andrew waved his hand.
Andrew: Goodbye.
-----------------
-----------------
At sunset, Y/N and Akko reached some street, chasing the strange cube all the time. During this time, the brunette kept jumping after it, trying to catch it, while the boy calmly was walking behind her.
Akko: Come back!
Y/N just opened his hand and caught the cube in the air.
Akko: -_- Did you have to catch it so easily?
Y/N: Envy in silence.
???: Y/N? Akko? What are you two doing?
Turning around, they saw Sucy and Lotte with a paper bag in her hands.
Y/N: Look.
He showed the cub.
Lotte: That looks like things that we're flying around during the strike.
Sucy: And they were in the Wild Hunt.
The attention of friends was attracted by even more angry protesters. It seemed if they were a little bit angrier then they would start a war. Sucy already had a bad feeling about this, while Lotte wondered where Y/N and Akko had gone.
-----------------
-----------------
The wizard lost sight of his friend. A minute ago, they were chasing after an escaped cube, but this time she seemed to have fallen into the ground. But when he turned his head, he saw her at the top of one of the buildings with Croix.... Croix?
Y/N: Croix!
The boy spun on the spot three times and a second later, he was already standing next to Akko, whose reaction was a scream.
Akko: Don't scare me like that!
Y/N: -_-... Croix! You again!
Akko: Again?
He ignored the brunette and started to approach the witch.
Y/N: What can these cubes do?!
Croix: They can convert emotions into energy.
Y/N: Emotions? Wait! That means it's you who...
Croix: Not quite. The emotions of anger comes from within them. All I did was enhance it slightly and absorb it.
Akko: Why?
Croix: Noir Fuel Spirit... You can convert strong human emotions into powerful magic energy. That's why I am probing the hearts of people around the world. Anger, hatred, sadness, jealousy, fear, anxiety-
Y/N: -_- In short, all the negative bullshit.
He cracks his knuckles.
Y/N: I know your plan. Manipulating people with anger to gain your advantage... I'll break your neck for that.
Akko: Y/N, wait! Let me talk to her! Professor Croix, you are acting weird! Stop doing that!
Croix: Why?! Are you saying you wouldn't mind if magic was lost forever?
Y/N: Oh please. Magic will never be lost while our earth is spinning.
Croix: I'm pretty doubting at your words. Feeling by themselves can't change the world, you must take action.
Akko: Still... This is wrong! Magic should be used to make people happy!
Croix:... You say the same thing as Chariot! This is exactly why she faile- GAAH! GRRR!
Y/N threw a large fireball at her, which she dodged.
Y/N: I'm sick of listening to your chatter! Let's make this place a little redder!
Croix: Not so fast!
The cubes around her gathered in one pile and turned into a spider-like monster.
Y/N: Die!
From one attack of the wizard's energy ball, it fell apart. But it was too early to rejoice, even more, monsters appeared. Suddenly, Ursula flew out of the door and cast a spell that not only destroyed the monsters but also showed her real appearance.
Ursula: Diphulianado!
Y/N: Oh no...
The teacher landed in front of the two teenagers and picked up her fallen glasses.
Akko: Professor... Ursula?
Y/N:... Crap.
Croix: You've never learned how to keep your head down. Do you still intend to interfere, Chariot du Nord?
Akko: Chariot? Are you... Shiny Chariot?
The wizard sighed as he dropped his head.
Y/N: Ursula... The time has come...
Akko: For what?
Y/N: To tell you the truth.
Ursula:...
Y/N: Ursula.
Ursula:... I am sorry I kept this a secret from you. I wanted to tell you properly.
Y/N:... Croix, surrender. There is no way you will make it while I am here.
Croix: It's too late, Y/N. I can't stop halfway. Besides, did Chariot tell you why she left the stage forever? Akko, you saw Chariot's show in the past, didn't you? Did she tell you what exactly she did to the moon? Dream Fuel Spirit. Magic to convert the dreaming energy of everyone in the area and turns it into magic. And those whose dreams are absorbed... Lose their magic.
Y/N:... Ursula?
Ursula: Y/N... The reason why Akko can't fly... It's all my fault.
Akko stood up.
Akko: That's a lie. Come on, Professor Ursula...
Ursula:....
Akko: Say... That's a lie.
Ursula:...
Akko: No... That must be a lie... That's a lie... That's a lie...
Y/N fell silent, not knowing what to say. To be honest, at the beginning of his first day, he never thought that everything would be really serious. He could feel Akko's pain from a distance. Imagine, hearing from the person you trusted more than anyone else that they betrayed you. It's really messed up.
Akko: THAT'S A LIE!!!
She ran away with tears in her eyes and a hoarse voice.
Y/N: Akko! Wait!
The wizard ran after her, descending through the floors. She was impetuous and her face was lowered so that a shadow covered her eye. The brunette didn't want to turn to him and see his face again, consequently, she ran as fast as possible. But since Y/N was faster, he managed to grab her hand.
Y/N: Akko! Stop!
Slap
The girl slapped him on his left cheek, which the boy immediately grabbed.
Y/N: Akko...
Akko: SHUT UP!
Y/N:...
Akko: You've betrayed my trust in you again! You knew where Chariot was and who she was, but you hid it from me! And I don't even want to ask why!!!
Y/N: She had her reasons...
Akko: SHUT UP! Were my feelings, dreams, and my goals just empty words for you?! I forgave you and you immediately decided to betray me again!
Akko sniffed.
Y/N: Akko...
The teenager tried to hug his friend, but she roughly pushed him away.
Akko: DON'T TOUCH ME! WE...! We're not friends anymore! And we will never become again!... DAMN! I bet I was your only friend who cared about an egoist like YOU!
Y/N:...
Akko: I wish... I...
Akko sniffed. With a lot of accumulated courage, she screamed.
Akko:... I WISH I NEVER MET YOU IN MY LIFE! NEVER! GET OUT OF MY LIFE!!!
Y/N:...
The wizard didn't seem hurt or anything. It wasn't the first time they had pushed him away. Akko sniffed.
Kaboom
Y/N heard a big explosion behind him, which made it dusty everywhere.
Y/N: What the-?!
The next moment, Furui came out of the crater formed by the explosion with an evil smile on her face. You growled when you saw her. Akko, the moment she looked at her smile, took a step back.
Furui: Your wish will be fulfilled.
Y/N: -_- Oh... Not you again! Not right now!
Furui: I'm sorry to distract you from your dramatic moment, but I need to tell you the news that you're going to die tonight.
Y/N: -_- How?
The witch chuckled as she snapped her fingers. A second later, the two teenagers felt the ground beneath them begin to shake and make unusual sounds.
Akko: What's going on?!
A lot of those scary goblins of different sizes and shapes came out of the ground. They were covered in black liquid and looked very angry with bloodlust.
Furui: Behold my army! Goblins covered in my potion! I brought them all here on purpose to get rid of you here and now, once and for all! By the time you fight them, they will try to quell their thirst for blood by killing people around! Surrender and I'll order them to kill you faster!
Y/N looked at her blankly.
Y/N: ._. I have a question. How many brain cells do you have?
Furui: Huh? What do you mean?
Y/N: I mean they all are standing next to each other in a row... And in front of me.
Furui:...
Y/N:... ._. ... -_-
The wizard stretched out his arm and shot straight at them all with an energy beam, from which the goblins didn't even have time to react and cry out in pain.
Furui:...
Y/N: -_-
Furui:... I didn't expect that.
Y/N: -_-
The wizard lited his fists with fire.
Y/N: Here we go!
The witch out of panic began to dodge the boxing blows of the teenager, who masterfully threw them.
Furui: BASTARD! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH TIME I'VE KILLED JUST TO SEE YOUR DEAD BODY?!
The wizard let out a punch.
Y/N: You are mad at me?
The wizard dodged an attack.
Furui: YES!
Furui responded, barely dodging an attack.
Y/N: Then I am happy!
The teenager pushed off from her with his feet and brought his hands.
Y/N: Eat this, you frigging bastich!!!
The flame from Y/N's hands immediately enveloped everything that was in front of him, counting the witch herself. But he didn't hear any screams of pain and out of curiosity, decided to check what happened. After extinguishing his flame, he froze in shock at what he saw.
Y/N: OH... MY... GOD!!!
Furui stood intact with the same smirk on her face that would have sent goosebumps down anyone's skin. Even her dress wasn't burned.
Furui: Surprise!
Y/N: Impossible! No way!
Furui: Yes, way! I became fireproof! Your weapon is useless now. Surrender, fall to your kness, and beg for mercy. My offer is still-
Y/N: How is your dress still intact?!
Furui:...
Y/N: It must be made of high-quality material if it has withstood such a high temperature! Who did it to you?! I need to talk to him!
Furui:... -_- Idiot.
The witch rushed at him, preparing her sharp black nails that could cut people like a knife cuts butter. But the boy caught her hand halfway and started spinning on the spot.
Y/N: ¡Adiós, vieja bruja!
Y/N abruptly threw her to the side, but instead of leaving her, he rushed after her. He wanted to end it right there so that everything would be over.
Akko:... Y/N...
Akko ran after him as she wiped her tears.
-----------------
-----------------
Furui: Shit!
Furui began to breathe heavily.
The witch landed next to a construction site in front of an unfinished building. The hard landing broke her back, but fortunately, she recovered thanks to her healing factor. She was still breathing hard.
Furui: Croix! My plan failed! Help me! Where are you?!
Furui stood up.
Furui: Damn it! That damn brat! He-!
Speaking of the devil, Y/N appeared in front of her, and without waiting for the witch to flinch, he struck her in the face, from which she flew straight into the unfinished building from behind.
The wizard pumped his fists.
Y/N: What a happy landing!
Furui: Gaaah!
Y/N: Yeah... Yeah... I know that feeling... Stand up like you have honor.
The woman got to her feet and wiped the blood from her nose.
Furui: Why exactly did someone like you become the strongest?!
Y/N: -_- I ask this question every morning... I have one more question. About other magicians... Did you kill them after stealing their magic powers?
Before answering, Furui panted twice from exhaustion.
Furui:... Yes... Yes, I did.
Y/N: Why?
She smirked.
Furui: I just wanted to. They were too happy and innocent that I wanted to throw up on the spot.
As the witch started laughing, Y/N clenched his teeth.
Y/N: GO FUCK YOURSELF!!!
The teenager started throwing hail of blows, from which the woman felt that her skull would soon split. Gathering her will, she jumped back and waved her wand.
Furui: Aedificia levata.
The building nearby began to rise into the air, letting pieces of itself fall to the ground.
Furui: Survive this!
With one swoop of the wand, the building quickly headed straight down to Y/N. But he already had a plan for it. Squeezing his hand, he shot another energy ball, causing the remnants of the building to fly in different directions.
Y/N: Ha! Easy as ABC! I... Wh-!?
Suddenly, a large boulder fell on Y/N's chest and pinned him down to the ground. The witch, seeing such an opportunity, slowly approached a dangerous distance.
Y/N: -_-
Furui: Why won't you die?
Y/N: -_-
Tug
He tugged on the witch's leg when he got close enough. The wizard, without losing a chance, quickly grabbed her shinbone and broke it with one hand.
Crack
Furui: GAAH!
Falling to the ground, she grabbed her leg.
Y/N: -_- Never lose your focus on your enemy.
With one deft movement, Y/N easily removed the boulder from his chest. Jumping to his feet, he stretched his arms and neck.
Y/N: Not gonna lie. That was pretty cool... I would say those words if that really was.
Akko: Y/N!
Turning his head, the wizard saw the brunette girl behind him.
Y/N: Akko...
Akko: So... It's the witch you talked about?
Y/N: -_- Are you talking to me again? I thought you wanted me out of your life.
Akko remembered how upset she was, but it was because of that, because of the feeling of the moment. She really didn't want that, but she didn't have the courage to admit it. She turned slightly to avoid the wizard's gaze. He knew that he wouldn't get an answer, so he gave his to Akko first.
Y/N:... Yeah... She is a pain in my ass.
Akko: I thought everyone used their magic powers to make people... happy.
The wizard cracked his neck.
Y/N: No... At least, not everyone does. Some use their power to make money, some to gain fame and notoriety, and some...
The wizard gave a small smile with a hint of mockery.
Y/N:... to just get in the way of someone.
Furui: Grrr...
Y/N: Welp... Time to turn some witch into a corpse. Any last words?... -_- Again.
Furui: Argh!
Y/N: -_- You aren't serious, right? We've been through this bullcrap before. Just give up and die already. There's nothing to be a pain all your life.
Furui gritted her teeth as she heard his words. Right now, she was feeling very tired. The boy forced her to work almost completely and now her magic power was enough only for one spell. But it is unlikely that the boy would have let her hit him, and so she looked at the girl.
Furui: Evanescet!
Y/N's eyes widened at who she shot. It was clear that the brunette won't withstand such a force, and therefore, out of panic, he did what only a close friend could do. The teenager jumped into the air and covered Akko, taking all the damage of the spell on himself. The big explosion pushed the two witches in different directions.
Akko, after falling, coughed twice for the dust.
Akko: Y-Y/N?
Her pupils shrank when she saw how only his torn jacket was now lying on the place where the boy was standing.
Akko: Y/N!!!
She ran up and fell to her knees, grabbing his clothes. Tears began to form slowly in her eyes.
Akko: No, no... That's not what I wanted... I... I... Y/N...
Furui: He's dead.
The older witch, whose leg had already healed, got to her feet and stood in front of the girl.
Furui: You got what you wanted, so why are you crying?
Akko: It's... I... I didn't want him to... disappear like that.
Furui only glared away.
Furui: However, he is gone forever.
Akko looked at Y/N's jacket and then at the witch.
Akko: You will kill me?
Furui looked at her for a few seconds. She analyzed her.
Furui:... There is no point to kill you. Killing you won't do me any good or harm. Besides, you had the same wish as me. Goodbye, child.
When the witch started to leave, the brunette shouted after her.
Akko: Why?! Why did you do that?! Isn't magic about being happy and putting a smile on others?! Y/N told me that you are 400 years old! So tell me, aren't my words true?!
Furui looked at her as the young witch stopped shouting.
Furui: Not even close.
She left, leaving Akko alone in the cold night. She fell to her knees again and clutched the jacket tightly, like a thing that was more precious than anything in the world. Tears fell on her clothes as soon as she said...
Akko: I am sorry... Y/N...
The strongest magician in the world died before he even knew what it was like to live normally. But fortunately, his soul can now find peace. However, now the era of the evil witch will soon begin, in which she will rule the whole world and no one will stop her anymore.
All the goodwill will collapse and the sky will be covered with dark smoke. People full of hope will be depressed and not know what to do. Everyone will lose the meaning of life, and Furui will enjoy it, knowing that she was able to destroy the strongest wizard in the world - Y/N L/N.
Right?...
