Chapter 14: The new magical era.

Y/N: Yeah, yeah, yeah... Amanda. Keep telling me the "real events", and I will continue to pretend that I believe you.

Amanda: But it's true! Someone really murdered those wolves. Some were crushed, others burned, and some completely torn apart.

The headmistress and the professors looked from the wizard to Ursula.

Wangari: They are installing magic insulators to cut off the flow of magic from the Sorcerer's Stone!

Suddenly, a strong wind knocked the insulator out of the fairies' hands. It was addressed directly to Akko.

Y/N: Akko!

The boy was going to prepare to stop that thing, risking his false identity as a normal boy, but fortunately, it was stopped by a flying puck-like thing.

Y/N: 0_0 What is it?

There were several of them, and a young woman was standing on one of them. She landed on the ground and took off her sunglasses.

Y/N: 0_0 Who is this woman?

Headmistress: Oh yes, Croix was scheduled to arrive today to fill the new teaching position.

Akko: Huh? She is our new teacher?!

Croix: Headmistress, it is been far too long.

Headmistress: You certainly came right in the middle of a trouble.

One of the "pucks" flew up to the red team.

Suddenly, the boy felt someone put a hand on his head.

Croix: That's right. But more precisely, this is a sorcery unit created by utilizing magitronics. Basically, you could call an evolved broom.

It went down to the ground and began to clean the dirt.

Headmistress: Everyone, allow me to introduce you to the new teacher of modern magic, Professor Croix.

Croix: Please come to my classroom if I piqued your interest. We will contemplate the future of magic there!

She called her technology to the sky and winked at Y/N before leaving.

Lotte: I heard from some of the girls who took it that they use tablets developed by Professor Croix.

Y/N: Anyway, something tells me that I should stay away from her. There's something wrong with her.

Sucy: The heating is out.

Going out into the corridor, the Red team saw a bunch of unconscious students with things scattered around.

Akko: If we can't use magic, what will happen to our class?

Slamming a few books on the table, the teacher exclaimed:

Professor Badcock: Until the strike is over, all lesson plans have been altered to memorizing spells!

Y/N: -_- Someone really must stop this nonsense.

Lotte: Eh?!

Sucy: Something can go wrong if Akko is involved in that.

Now, along with the fairies on strike, there was the student Atsuko Kagari with them... also on strike.

Professors: Miss Kagari?

Akko: We demand an increased share of energy as your salary!

The boy looked at Lotte.

Y/N: Lotteeee...

Lotte: I'm so sorry. She tried to convince them to end their strike but ended up getting convinced by them instead.

Akko: We demand pay! Let us use the Sorcerer's Stone!

The star student arrived at the scene.

The fairies had something to resist with the strike due to the words of their leader. That made them continue their strike.

Y/N: Look, girls. Let's calm down and...

Akko glanced at him with a death stare that made him silent.

Diana: This is a waste of time. There are other things that require your attention more urgently.

Diana left. The wizard looked at Akko after what she caused.

Lotte translated.

Y/N: Hey, can I have it too?

Lotte: "We didn't give it to you because you were against the strike."

Y/N: Q_Q

Sucy: Don't cry. This was made of frog warts and bat eyes anyway.

The brunette spatted her soup to Sucy's face.

The red team was drinking tea, calmly.

Y/N: Did they accept your conditions now?

The wizard took a sip of his tea.

Akko: No. Professor Croix even suggested that they use her technology to create energy. But the professors still refused. And after negotiations, she offered me to get "private lessons" from her. I think she liked me.

Hearing the screams outside the door, the brunette spit out her tea again. The Red team quickly left the room and saw the goblins attacking the students.

Y/N: What the hell?!

Lotte: They're really angry. "Flame Faerie is hurt. Never forgive the witches".

Lotte: Akko, what are you planning?

Akko: We have to release the magic!

Entering the top of the tower, they met a weird-looking faerie.

Akko: Hear us out! The teachers accepted our conditions! We won! The strike is over! Please, let us use magic!

The faerie watched them in silence.

Akko: Lotte, do your thing! What is he saying?!

Lotte:...This faerie has no emotions. I can't tell what he is thinking at all.

Y/N: Does he have no emotions?

Y/N's mind: (It's as if he is a robot...)

He collapsed into a cube and turned into a monster that pushed Akko out of the window.

Y/N/Lotte: Akko!

The wizard prepared again to help his friend, putting his identity at risk, but fortunately, those "pucks" grabbed her and gently put her on the ground.

You felt like something was going to give you something because of so many scares.

Y/N: -_- Never mind.

One of these "fairies" brought her a plate of the injured Flame creature while the "pucks" sucked out the goblins of their anger and breathed in the Faerie.

Y/N: 0_o What a perfect time she showed up here.

Y/N: Why? We literally learn at a school of magic where the workers are goblins.

Akko: Your "feeling" and the "magic" are different things.
