Deku found the boy shuffling home, eyes blanked at an aging notebook. His heart slammed across his chest as he fixed his mouth guard over him and pulls his hood up, was that how he looked? Tired and dead? Feet barely moving? He shutters a breath and pulls a smile.
"Excuse me!" He clears his throat, what could he say? How would he say it? The young boy looks up.
"Are you okay, hero?" The middle schooler asks, looking to him with hesitant eyes. Deku nodded quickly.
"Yes I'm..." He paused to think, he pulls a large smile. "I'm a UA student on patrol, I'm new to this area, wondering if you could help me round..."
Izuku tilted his head, his eyes light a small spark in the green orbs.  "Where are you looking to go?"
Deku relaxed, "To the station..." Izuku talking, and Deku was cut off slightly how fast did he talk? Half way through the explanation, Izuku started asking about UA. Deku laughs, the smaller boy shutters pulling himself back and covered his mouth.
"I'm sorry, I got too excited." He sighs, spitting himself down, a pang hits him, Deku slowly touched the boys shoulder.
"Don't you ever feel bad about being excited, It....it's what makes you such a good person, you're smart..." He makes a point of looking at the notebook. "You'll be a great hero one day. Don't let anyone or anything stop you from getting in the way. That heart of yours...will save so many lives. Even, yourself."
Izuku started trembling and crying. "Are you sure, I'm nothing special...just a fanboy..." He seemed to try leave the quirkless bit out.
"...Izuku you being a fanboy is the best part of you... I promise, keep fighting... " He whispers, wanting to help himself, wanting to promise everything will be okay. But it was so hard, without mentioning One for All.
"How do you know my name?" Izuku got a bit defensive.  Deku  jumps, he sighs and pulls a large smile taking off his mask and guard. Izuku squints and looks at him for a minute, as if not sure what he was seeing and if it was real.
Deku presses his finger to his lips. Izuku smiles and grips his notebook.
Izuku squeezes his shoulder. "Thanks for the help hero, remember where the station is again." He waves his hand off.
