Chapter twenty-four: Background check

"Kaelyn, you should know. That finding your ate may take more than a year of preparation." Sabi ni Riley at tinapik sa balikat si Kaelyn.

"What, why?"

"Because after closing Austin's case next week, we will be given a break. A month of no work. Then after that, training, and other preparation." Sagot ni Cassian.

"At, hindi mo pa Kaelyn nasasabi kay mama na sasama ka saamin at magtre-training. Kaya use the preparation time wisely. Wag kang magsisinungaling sa kanya, baka pati ako masisi sa decision mo." Sabi ko.

"Kailan ba start ng training ko?"

"Next 4 months." Sagot ni Riley.

"Apat na buwan? Magbibirthday si Asher in 4 months." Angal niya.

"You can leave anytime, di ka naman namin pinipilit." Sabi ni Ryota.

"How long will it take for us to move and make a move to Japan?" Tanong ulit niya, isa lang ang ayaw ko sa batang ito.

She is annoying, and has so much curiosity. Kaya kailangan mong sagutin mga tanong niya kung ayaw mong sumabog ang utak mo.

"More or less, 20 months." Sagot ni Riley.

Lahat kami pare-parehas ng reaction.

"20 months?" Tanong ni Calyx.

"Include niyo na simula nung case ni Austin. We have about 16 months more of preparation."  Casual na sagot ni Riley.

"Let's get back to where we are shall we."

"Shivani Stellard, siya ay isang leader ng isang organization noong nagtaksil siya sa mga Stellards. She is one of the smartest persons that we know, and she has strong insticts na halos parating tumatama sa sitwasyon. But, napatumba ko kaagad ang babaeng ito noong bago ipanganak si Ravenna." Sabi ni Riley at ipinakita ang itsura ni Shivani. 

Not gonna lie, she is real pretty. Sayang kagandahan niya when she's using it for bad reasons. 

"She can become a model." Commento ni Kaelyn. 

"Leo Cruz, boyfriend of Shivani Stellard. I don't know much about him, but some say he plays the guitar but also uses it to hit people. This man is deadly, just like Shivani. Parehas silang nakasurvive ng airplane crash na sila mismo ang cause dahil sinabihan lang ng kasama nila sa plane si Leo ng weird looking." 

"Insensitive move." Sabi ko at umiling. Nakita ko itsura ng Leo na yan. 

"Mukhang drug lord ang itsura, pero may looks pa din kahit konti." Sabi ni Hailey.

"Tss, mukha ngang basura anong looks dyan?" Cassian scoffed.

"Ashton Scott, Ex of Yvethe. Well ex ko din si Ashton. He was actually my partner when I was the female leader. But Yvethe stole him from me kaya nagtaksil siya sa company. Ashton's family was one of the investors of the Remingtons, but sad to say they died and all of the money was given to Ashton. He decided to buy his own house full of collection of guns. Some say na halos lahat ng ginagamit nating baril ngayon ay gawa ni Ashton."

"Wait, so sa kanya pa tayo bumibili ng baril? What the hell." Sabi ni Calyx.

"Merezza Park. Full blodded Korean but grew up in the Philippines. Siya ay naging kaibigan ko noon. But when she started doing more bad things at lumaki ang ulo, we stopped hanging out and I ignored her. Doing that Made her mad and furious kaya kumampi siya sa Stellards. Pero hindi din nagtagal umalis kaagad siya."

"Wait, how are you connected to them? Parang may history pa kasi tong lahat ng ito." Sabi ni Kaelyn.

"Yvethe, Merezza, and I were friends back in college, pero by that time naglayas na ako. Let's just say we did some shitty things together, but we separated reason being our fathers are having a war. Unang humiwalay si Yvethe saamin, and sumunod akong lumayo kay Merezza."

"Gago bakit ganon? Parang repeat history lang na may grupo din si Ravenna." Sabi ko.

"Ravenna's group is different. You guys are in the Mafia already and tasked to do things."

"Then what is the difference?"  Tanong ni Hailey.

"We were not in any corporation or organization back then. We just simply do what we want, steal money, buy guns, do drugs. And almost everything. We don't follow any rules, we make the rules. Bago pa kayo maipanganak, we already experienced almost everything."

"Ilang taon ka na ba?" Tanong ni Maeve.

"29."

"Weh?!" Sigaw naming lahat.

"Ayan nanaman kayo sa kakasigaw niyo."

"Hindi kasi halata," sabi ni Hailey.

"I thought you are just a year older than us." Sabi ni Ryota.

"Isipin niyo, one year older lang ako sa inyo, eh naglayas ako nung ipanganak si Ravenna. Ano nakapagisip ako ng magandang plano noong one year old palang ako?" Sarkastikong tugon niya.

"You have a point." Sabi ni Cassian.

"Pero naguguluhan pa din ako." Singit ni Calyx.

"I was 12 years old when I left, at 2 years old lang si Ravenna noon. Sumama ako sa mga kaibigan ko at yung savings ko ang ginamit ko para mabuhay ako. Then after 17 years bumalik ako, that was when Cassian is manipulated by me. To be exact I am about 10 years older when you guys met me." 

Talagang detailed ang explanation. 

"Can we move on now from the topic?" Tanong niya, at tumango naman kaming lahat. 

"Revon Stewart, Merezza's cousin. He is the most coolest person I know, personally. He is a person that doesn't care about himself, like any day or night and you ask him to shoot himself on the leg, shoulders, or arms. He would do it. He also knows basic mix martial arts."

"I think ito ang una nating patayin, he's the most boring one." Sabi ni Maeve.

"Think again, this man can outsmart you."

"Tss, okay whatever." Umiling si Maeve.

"Euria Remington, twin of Kevin Remington. They are fraternal twins kaya hindi sila napagkakamalan na magkapatid or any relationship to each other. Euria is a professional disguise. She can be a boy or a girl in just changing her clothing and the style of her hair. Not to mention that she is also fluent on 17 different languages excluding English, and Filipino. She is also a hitwoman, just tell her names and she will give you blood."

"Darcel Zion, main computer and tech guy of Stellards. He can do almost everything, he has every connections the he knows and serves the Stellards. But he left after 2 years of doing every single thing over and over again. Researching on how to defeat the Remington's and Hendrix's."

"Those 3 are the top corporation that are fighting over who is the most powerful group. Well based of the Launching 7 months ago, we are the most powerful. But we lost so many people during that battle." Dagdag niya pa.

"And that is all, thank you for the 3 hour meeting. I'll see you guys next week, ipapasundo ko nalang kayo gamit yung limo ng companya." Sabi niya habang inaayos ang gamit.

"Wait, you're missing someone." Pigil ni Cassian kay Riley.

"Sino?" Biglang binuklat ulit ni Riley ang folder. Pero umiling si Cassian.

"Aidan Jane." Sabi ni Cassian at inilaoag ang isang papel na may picture ni Aidan.

"It can't be..." Usal ko.

Tiningnan ko si Hailey at parang binuhusan nanaman siya ng malamig na tubig.

"He died... He died right?" Nagdududang tanong ko.

"Naalala ko yung kwento ng pinsan ni Hailey so I tried to search him up in case na buhay pa, hindi niyo naman kasi nakuha yung bangkay diba?" Paninimula ni Cassian.

"Well, I found out that he is still in Japan. And guess who he's with." Cassian showed us a picture of Austin, Yvethe, Aidan and... Ravenna.

"Wait, kala ko ba kalaban din ni Ravenna sila Austin? Bakit parang kampihan na sila?" Tanong ni Hailey.

"That I don't know off. But we just have to keep on thinking or searching about this. Kailangan natin mapalawak ang kaalaman natin bago pumunta sa Japan." Sagot ni Cassian.

"And we need to find out who Ravenna is really with at the moment. Kailangan natin malaman kung ano ang nangyari doon kay Enzo." Sabat ni Maeve.

Oo nga pala, nasa Japan din ex ni Ravenna na iniisip naming kasama niya.

This is so confusing, but when we find out everything. We need every single explanation that you will explain Ravenna.
