Skipping Class
"Hello?" Cas's deep voice shook Dean from his trance.
"What?"
"Are you sure you'd even listen to me if I talked to you?"
"Of course I'd listen. It's just...your eyes." Dean whispered with a smile. Cas tilted his head to the side ever so slightly in confusion. Dean seemed heartfelt, of course. But Cas didn't know if he could trust him, or anybody for that matter. But he seemed so sincere. Cas began to pack up his things.
"What're you doing?"
"You're coming with me, Dean Winchester." Cas practically dragged Dean out of the lunchroom and they stopped at the supply closet. Cas dug in his pocket and dug out a key chain.
"Are you serious?"
"As a heart attack." He grabbed one of the keys and unlocked the door. Cas shoved Dean inside and followed him in, closing the door behind him.
"Why the sudden ferocity?"
"Handcuffs or no?"
"Not this time. We'll save that for later. Now you answer my question."
"Why the sudden ferocity? Because you're different."
(There was smut here. A good bit of it, too. And a Miley Cyrus reference. You could probably figure out what I'm talking about by watching the Wrecking Ball music video. So, yeah, no more smut. Sorry. You'll see why I erased it in a second.)
"Dean?" Dean suddenly came back to earth. He was back in the lunchroom with Cas. Dean cleared his throat.
"Yeah?"
"You seemed to space out there for a second."
"No, what are you kidding? I guess...it's just your eyes." Dean kept staring at his hands in embarrassment. After a moment of silence, Cas put his notebook and pencil away.
"You're coming with me, Dean Winchester." Dean was suddenly pale. He followed Cas out of the cafeteria and down the hall. They stopped at the supply closet. Cas got a keychain out of his pocket.
"So, what's in there?" Dean asked. Cas didn't answer, he just unlocked the door. He grabbed Dean by the arm and dragged him inside, closing the door behind them. They looked at each other for a second, until Cas turned around and pulled a string down which was attached to the ceiling.
"What's that?"
"Pamela told me about it. She said she enjoyed coming up here to think."
"So why am I here?" Cas looked at him.
"So we can think together." And just like that, the bell rang.
"We should go to class." Dean was about to leave when Cas grabbed him by the arm again.
"Let's skip it."
