Abuse
Two days after they bought their ring, Cas came to Dean's house in the middle of the night, his face caked with tears. He had a black eye. He looked like hell. Dean gathered him up in his arms, Cas crying into his shoulder.
"Shh, shh, shh. Hey, what happened?" He whispered. Cas still couldn't form a proper sentence. Dean closed the door and took him to the couch, where he sat on Dean's lap. Sam heard the commotion and came downstairs.
"Dean, what's going on?" He asked, still half asleep.
"Sammy, just go back to bed." Dean instructed.
"But-"
"Just go." Sam sighed and did as he was told. After some silence, Cas found the ability to speak.
"My-my dad. He d-drank too much." He stuttered.
"Did he give you a black eye?" Cas nodded. He sobbed quietly. Dean kept hushing him, he hated seeing Cas cry.
"He-he's g-going to find out about us, D-Dean."
"Shh, just relax. I'm here. He won't find out, I promise. You wanna stay here tonight?" Cas nodded. He began to calm down a bit more. Dean gave him a kiss on the head.
"Can you sing for me? I love hearing you sing." Dean knew what song he wanted to hear. His favorite song.
"I follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
An August summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change
The world is closing in
Did you ever think
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
Walking down the street
Distant memories
Are buried in the past forever
I follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change
The wind of change
Blows straight into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring the freedom bell
For peace of mind
Let your balalaika sing
What my guitar wants to say
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me
Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
in the wind of change."
He looked down at Cas. His eyes were closed and his breathing was much more steady. Dean let his tears flow. He hated seeing Cas like this. He didn't want his baby getting hurt. Not his baby angel.
He cried, but not so loud that it would wake Cas. He bit his lip, trying not to sob. And he eventually cried himself to sleep with his angel in his arms.
