He pauses and he gets up, his golden eyes searing into mine and goes to leave but I stop him. "What are the options?"

      "To break her down until she doesn't want to fight back anymore, get her out of the way so they can put a puppet in her place, or make her a puppet in a way that Art won't be able
to fight back." He says before he's moving towards the door and he's gone.

     My head feels heavy form the information I was giving, but I can't be sure I heard all
of it correctly. Or even if I know what it means.

"Hey, Colton." Ben greets me and I stand there in shock before he turns towards Emma with a small smile. "You must be Emma." He says.

      "Emelia. Nice to meet you." Emma says awkwardly and Ben laughs.

     "I hear you all the time. You don't have to be cordial with me." Ben says and Emma laughs with him and I think I'm having an actual out of body experience as I watch Ben willingly talk to me and my friend outside of school and the date I begged him into.

     "Daddy! Can Mr.Colton and Emmamelia come with us on our walk?" Maggie asks and I can't help but laugh at the mispronunciation of Emma's name.

      "It's Emma, baby. And uh, that would be up to the two of them." He says looking up at the two of us, but I'm still too shocked to answer. Thankfully Emma saves the day.

    Pain rains down on my body, from my legs to my shoulder and back, all the way to my stomach, but never my face. He would never touch my face. I grimace from the power of the aches, keeping in my tears because I know he's not worth it.

    After a while the hits stops, but the pain keep going, roaring at me as I try to get myself up.

     "Now clean the rest of the kitchen up you useless brat." Dave sneers at me and leaves, heading up starts to check on my mom.

    I heave out heavy breathes as I pick myself up and spend the next hour doing something that should have taken me ten minutes. When I'm done I turn everything off and head up stairs, closing my door tightly behind me before I plus in my heating pad and sit on my bed, hissing in pain.

   "Nicky did you just purr?" I hear and I squeal a little bit, jumping back and almost falling off of the bed before hands catch me and pull me back towards the hard warm chest I was just snuggled against.

     I open my eyes after a little bit of struggle and find Jason looking down at me, propped up on one elbow with a look of amusement that sets my face on fire as I turn away from the wolf, ignoring the redness of my throat and cheeks.
    
     "No." I tell him crossing my arms in a pout in and he laughs, pulling me closer and even though I try to act mad I go willingly.

     "It's okay. You were purring in your sleep too. Every time I shifted you came with me." He teased and I whine and cover my face with my hands but they don't stay there long until Jason is moving them and laughing, shaking his head, chocolate eyes down on me, his eyes not leaving my face as he looks at me.
