James' POV

I fell asleep on the bed next to Cody, Lily still snuggled up tightly in his arms. I come to with the feeling of someone's hands i'm my hair and it makes me sigh contently as I open my eyes and the light hits them.

When I finally get them to focus I yawns me look up only to see Jesse's black eyes staring down at me softly.

"Hey baby." He says and for once, I breathe a sigh of relief at the sound of his voice, my head falling into the crook of his neck as I breath him in, his scent more heavy on the honey with a bit of spice to it than Cody's.

I remember when I first started meeting Jessie three years ago. The way he used to always make me nervous and so flustered. And he still does at times, but he's also so patient and kind and level headed and it takes care of Sloan Cody and even me so well. He's perfect. Not that I would ever tell the already cocky wolf that.

"She opened her eyes while you were sleeping." He tells me and I'm quick to raise my head and look at her, only to find her sleeping making me turn towards Jessie with a frown and a slight pout. "Shes back to sleep now. But she has your eyes." He tells me and I watch as his own black ones soften, his free hand that was in my hair coming down to cup my cheek softly before he looks at Lily in his hold. "When we first met, I wasn't sure if we were ever going to get to where we are now, the two of us. But here we are three years later and you're just as perfect as ever. Except now you're mine just as completely as Sloan is." He tells me, his lips curving up into my favorite crooked smile.

"You're still a cocky bastard that has way too much fun with my embarrassment." I grumble, my cheeks hot form the sweet word coming from his lips. They find my forehead where he gives me a soft kiss and it makes tears come to my eyes at the sweetness from it.

I look down at the little girl wrapped so snug, her tiny lips partly open as she sleeps away. She's so tiny. And perfect. I will protect her with my everything.

Jonah is spending the next few nights at Chloe's house and I'm grateful that I will have time to learn our newest, smallest family member.

"What happened with Cody?" I ask him not tearing my eyes away from the precious little miracle in his arms but ai can tell he doesn't mind.

"I told him I had to check on the three of you for myself. To make sure you Sloan and Lily were really okay. I just wanted to touch you for myself and see those eyes for myself." He says and I smile to myself because I know it's true. And we sit there and smile over the baby, cooing at her softly as we greet her into the new family thanking all the Goddess that Jessie loves her all as much as he does.

Jessie checking on James was requested by a friend so here you guys go! Their tiny family is so fucking precious. I love them all! I think I can get three more chapters if I push it.
