The Brave

In their absence, Cisco was admiring more things of the cave, Felicity was filing paper work, and Caitlin started some work for the murder of the Canary.

Parker stared at the salmon ladder. The bottom half of her eyelids were raised, investigating the salmon ladder.  If her shoulder hadn't been injured, she probably would have attempted it. Not in front of anyone, just in case she miserably failed.

Suddenly, arms were wrapped around her waist. His voice was loud in her ear, but he was simply rambling to everyone about, "Saving Oliver from a flying boomerang!" and then he went absolutely silent.

"Who even called him?" Parker asked, patting the hand on her stomach to release his grip around her.

Caitlin cleared her throat, claiming the glory. "I thought Oliver might need help."

Parker grimly shook her head. "Do not admit that to him."

"Ever," Felicity warned.

"Did you finish your chores? Barry Allen, if you haven't, severe punishment is in mind," Parker threatened.

Barry laid a hand on her shoulder. His eyes were not on her as he told her he had indeed finished all ten of the assigned chores. Those green lookers sat on the thing in front of Felicity's desk: the amazing salmon ladder.

Barry was absolutely entranced. He stepped toward it blindly, like something was drawing him to it forcefully.

Parker briefly wished she had that effect on him.

Barry had latched his hands onto the first indent. Parker quickly sat, leaning back in the chair, awaiting the show. She doubted Barry could get to the fifth indent.

Beautifully, he proved her wrong. He tackled that salmon ladder with great ease and barely any effort. He did the first set before he flipped a switch in his ability, performing the salmon ladder on his fastest speed.

Caitlin, Cisco, Felicity and Parker's heads bounced up and down, following Barry's movement. There was the occasional clank of the bar hitting the metal, but not a sound came from Barry.

And to think that hot piece of man will be mine in a few weeks.. I'm getting a salmon ladder installed in my bedroom. Just for him..

Parker felt Cisco glance at her and suddenly became highly aware of her teeth indenting her bottom lip. She drew her teeth back, adjusting her sweatshirt nervously. She could only hope Cisco hadn't seen how impressed she was. A second longer and she probably would have been drooling.

"If Parker wasn't here, do you think he would have still done it?" Cisco whispered.

"Absolutely not," said Felicity automatically.

"How often does Oliver do that?" Caitlin asked.

"At least every Wednesday," Felicity trailed off, her eyes swooning. "There's a lot of sweating.."

An echoing clang brought their attention back to the salmon ladder. Barry had climbed off, walking to the desk with his hands on his hips.

"I don't see what's so hard about that," he said. His eyes scanned over Parker, whose cheeks warmed.

"Look, I'm not really sure you all should have came. Oliver doesn't really play well with others," Felicity admitted, shrinking into her computer chair.

"Oh, come on, the team up last week was amazing!" Cisco disagreed.

"That was like a one time thing," said Felicity, mildly cringing.

"The dude was tossing around explosive boomerangs. He needed backup," Barry said. The subject was dropped when the group heard his stomach growl. "That made me hungry for sushi. You guys want any?"

"Yes!" Parker said.

"Yes as in yes--"

"Yes as in sushi!" Parker clarified, shaking her head. "Go. Run, Forest, run."

Felicity and Caitlin rounded on her as soon as the door slammed behind Barry. The two girls and Cisco stared at Parker, making her scrunch her face with confusion.

"'Yes as in yes?'" Felicity questioned.

"Explain," Cisco demanded.

"It's a long story. He sort of asked me out and I haven't really said yes--"

"YOU DIDN'T SAY YES?" the three screeched.

Caitlin gripped her hair; Felicity's head fell onto her hands; Cisco banged his head against the computer desk. Parker was memorized by their reactions.

"That boy has been head over heels for you since we fought Danton Black!" Caitlin squealed.

"And you denied him? Good lord, Parker!" added Cisco, quite shamefully.

Parker let out a deafening whistle, silencing her crazy fans. They fell still, like trolls upon daylight, watching her expectantly.

"I didn't deny him. I just haven't said the final yes," she clarified, giggling. "Don't worry, losers. I'm definitely saying yes."

The door at the top of the stairs scraped across the floor, signaling an entrance. It wasn't Barry, Parker quickly figured out, as he would've been standing beside her by the time they heard the door open.

Team Arrow returned, with a woman following, her hand in Diggle's.

"Everything okay?" Felicity wondered.

"Can't work at A.R.G.U.S without making a few enemies," the woman joked.

Parker made a small noise of recognition. That was Lyla: Diggle's girlfriend, or wife, or something. That was the mother of his child.

"I'm sorry to involve all of you in this," Lyla apologized.

The grim look vanished off her face when Diggle emptied a bag onto the table. Judging by the thousands of shards, it was a couple of shattered boomerangs.

"Isn't that A.R.G.U.S property?" Lyla asked, looking uncomfortable.

"It's evidence," Diggle muttered.

Parker felt a flash of wind against her face. She had a moment to realize that the Flash himself returned to Arrow HQ before she was swept from her feet, pulled down into his lap.

The take out box filled of sushi sat on her thighs. Barry snaked his arms around her waist, stuffing a green wrapped piece into his mouth.

"Hey!" Parker scolded, smacking her hands over his face. She winced as her hands made a noise upon contact. "Secret identity much?"

Looking through the gaps between her hands, Barry realized she was speaking of Lyla. "They're married," Barry dismissed.

"We're not married," Diggle and Lyla chorused.

"Ha!" Parker triumphantly teased. "They're not married."

"But you told her about me," Barry tried.

Diggle raised an eyebrow. "I keep secrets for a living, Barry."

Barry met Parker's disapproving eyes. He sheepishly smiled. "Won't happen again."

Her hands slid from his face, but she flicked his forehead for punishment. Enough people knew his secret identity-- she had to start pushing him to conceal it better. But the sushi was calling her name.

"You're.. You're.." Lyla was at a loss for words.

"The Flash," Parker and Barry chorused. Only one voice was clear, since the other had sushi shoved into her cheeks.

"We need a location on Digger Harkness," Oliver demanded.

"First step is to work the evidence--" Barry tried to help.

Oliver quickly cut him off, his level of tolerance already through the roof. "Barry, can I talk to you?" Like most of Oliver's words, it wasn't actually a question, it was a demand.

Barry's fingers tapped her hip bones and Parker stood, plopping back down when he had stepped away with Oliver.

Cisco trying to snap a picture of them together sent her giggling, to a point where both her hands slapped over her nose and mouth to keep any sound of laughter out.

"If you got one, send it to me," Parker managed to quietly say.

Oliver had obviously tried to tell Barry Starling City was different from the sunny streets of Central City. Barry didn't understand that yet.

So after a puppy-dog begging from Barry, Oliver complied for their help. A.K.A: another team up between Team Flash and Team Arrow.

"We need to reassemble the evidence. It will take some time--" A squeak of Oliver's shoes abruptly stopping made Parker tear her eyes away from the sushi.

By use of his ability, the boomerangs were put together quickly by Barry.

"Show-off," Parker coughed into her jacket.

Oliver sent her an amused look.

Carefully cradling a boomerang in his hands, Cisco closely examined it.

"It's a little more teched out than the one you guys brought to Central City.. 3D printed polymer with a circuitry weave."

"Some of Harkness' boomerangs exploded," Roy noted.

"Yeah, there are grooves in here that can pack a C-4 charge," Cisco said.

"Find out where he got the supplies," Parker suggested, talking over the food in her mouth.

"Honey, don't speak with food in your mouth," Barry scolded.

Parker rolled her eyes.

Cisco had been too caught up in her suggestion to notice the extra talk between Barry and Parker. He sounded taken back from the previous comment.

"Do you mean they weren't made by Ka-Boom-Boomerang?"

"Ka-Boom-Boomerang?" Roy echoed.

Parker rolled her eyes so hard it sent a shot of pain through her skull. She had desperately hoped Cisco would drop the names for one trip.

"Yeah, you know, because he has exploding boomerangs?" Cisco explained, a goofy smile on his lips.

"Not your best one," Barry laughed.

"Really?" Cisco wondered. He went to explain more, but Oliver sharply cut off the conversation.

"If Harkness didn't get the materials needed, we find out who did."

"And who sold them to Harkness," Diggle added.

"Markos," Cisco chimed. He pointed to a mark on the boomerang, showing it around the table. "See that collapsible node design? Dead giveaway. That's his signature."

"We need a location on this.." Oliver trailed off, gesturing to Cisco for a fill in the blank.

"Klaus Markos."

Felicity sat at the seat besides Parker, Oliver leaning between both chairs. Felicity's fingers hit the board and a second later, pictures and records of said man showed up.

"No known home address or place of employment but he was arrested by one Officer Quentin Lance."

The boys went out to do some late night crime hunt. Apparently a cop they were friends with would be asked about it then they would use whatever information they got from him to track Markos down. She admired how quick and to-the-point Team Arrow was.

"Be safe," Parker reminded Barry as he leaned forward to grab another bite of sushi. She pecked his forehead before he could lean away.

"As always."

"This is so not going to turn out to be as good as it was in Central City," Felicity predicted, her whole face set in a deep frown while she watched them leave. "Barry and Oliver live in two very different cities.."

"They're very different people.." Parker said.

Felicity shrugged; Parker sighed. They would handle the aftermath of the visit when it was over-- whether it was good or bad. That was part of their job, anyway: handling their heroes.

"Sushi?" Parker offered.

"No, thanks."

"Oh, thank God," she breathed, stuffing the last of the sushi in her mouth, "I really wanted that piece."
