Don't Dream It's Over «Finale»
In front of the door to the Accelerator ring, the team gathered to say their farewells to Barry.
As Barry engulfed Parker into his arms tightly, she placed her hands on his chest, resting her forehead against the emblem of his suit.
"This isn't goodbye," Barry whispered, kissing her head, "When I get back, you're in for an attack from the Kiss Monster."
Before Parker could call him a dork, Cisco jumped into their hushed conversation, his eyes wide.
"Excuse me?"
Barry and Parker leaned away from one another, sharing a glance.
"Did we tell you we're back together?" Parker said.
"Yay us," Barry added, trying to be cheerful.
"What?!" Cisco yelled.
"He's kidding," Caitlin said with an eye roll, "He had the security camera on you two."
"He was practically squealing in excitement," Eddie told them.
Cisco rolled his eyes, nodding his head in an obvious way, "How could you not?"
Parker turned back to Barry, cupping his face in her hands, "Do not be late, Barry. Be safe. Make good choices."
Barry kissed her lips before moving down the line to Caitlin, who gave him a hug.
Parker watched him longingly, her shoulders slouching.
When he changed the past, it wasn't like Parker would remember the timeline where Nora Allen was dead.
Barry might. It broke her heart to think that Barry might live with the memories of their relationship for the rest of his life, living a life that may not include her at all.
"Okay, there are gonna be three you's back there," Cisco reminded Barry, "The you from the future, who saved younger you from the Reverse-Flash, and now, you you. Wait until future you gets younger you out of there, then you can go save your mom."
"Piece of cake," Barry said, giving a hopeful smile.
Cisco patted Barry's shoulder, returning the smile, "May the speed force be with you."
"Nerd," Parker teased.
Cisco bumped his hip against hers, knlocking her slightly off balance. Parker punched his shoulder.
"Goodbye, dad," Barry said.
"Goodbye, son," Joe said.
Together, Cisco and Parker's lips switched to frowns. With that exchange, the mood dimmed.
"You don't have to say anything," Iris told Barry when he moved to her, "I hope whatever life you get, it's enough for you."
Barry moved in to give her a hug. Iris shook her head, instead, pressing a sisterly kiss to his forehead.
Barry nodded to Eddie, no words to exchange. He stepped in front of the door to the Accelerator.
"Park," he muttered.
On cue, Parker held her hand against the tablet, opening the door. She closed the door after Barry stepped to the platform.
Having been in charge of the time machine, Parker didn't join the team in the Cortex. She walked down the hallway into the tech room, climbed in the machine and drove it outside of the Accelerator door.
When Cisco texted her cell phone, ensuring her that Barry had ran back safely, Parker reached out of the machine and held her hand against the tablet until the door opened.
By then, Cisco and Joe joined her. Cisco released Wells from his cell, Joe's gun aimed at him the entire time. Parker drove the machine carefully down to the ring.
"It's beautiful," Wells complimented, "Rip Hunter would be impressed. He built the first one of these."
Out from the wormhole came a hat, bouncing along the floor until it hit the back of Parker's ankles.
She grabbed the silver hat from the floor, running her fingers along the pair of golden wings on each side.
"That's my cue to leave," Wells said, then climbed into the seat, "Thank you, Cisco."
"Don't ever come back," Cisco muttered.
The door to the time machine slid shut, causing Joe to set his gun back into his holster.
An unexpected red light shined from inside the wormhole. The light was followed by a blur crashing into the time machine, blowing it apart, and sending the three flying to the floor.
"You didn't save her?" Wells seethed, presumably at Barry, "Why?! You could have had the life you wanted! You could have had everything!"
"I already do," Barry breathed.
"If I wasn't in so much pain, I would give an 'aw,'" Parker muttered.
Flipping on to her stomach, Parker moved her new hat from covering her eyes.
Barry and Wells were zipping around the ring, fighting at high speed, as usual.
Due to her sprained ankle and her incredibly sore body, Parker took a great time to stand.
In that time, the timer reached its end, the wormhole safely closing.
"Parker?" Cisco groaned.
"Hey, there," Parker said, waving her hand at the boy sprawled on the floor, "We should probably go," she added, with a nod to the fighting speedsters.
"Park," a trembling voice called from closely behind her, "Move."
In the midst of turning her head to ask why, a gunshot went off, drawing a scream from her lips.
Parker fell on her bottom, knocked over by the weight of Eddie's body as his knees gave out.
Stunned into a silence, from the ringing in her ears and the dying man on her lap, Parker furiously blinked in confusion.
"Park.." Eddie gasped, heaving in air.
"No, Eddie, don't say anything. Save your words for Iris," Parker insisted.
For once, Parker had no way to fix the problem presented. With no other ideas, Parker took Eddie's hand for comfort.
"If Eddie dies, he'll never be born," Cisco explained, "He's being erased from exsistence!"
Every couple seconds, Eddie's grip on her hand would tighten, due to shots of pain flowing through his chest.
With his head on her knees, Parker rocked lightly, trying to keep him awake.
"Do not close your eyes. Not yet, Eddie Thawne. Iris needs you to say goodbye," Parker snapped impatiently, "I'm not gonna let you die without a goodbye to her."
"Park," Eddie mumbled again, almost inaudible, over a shout from nearby; a cry from Iris.
"You shut your mouth, you brave soul," Parker told him, "She's running to you. Talk all you want to her."
Iris dropped to her knees on the floor beside Eddie. She locked their hands, cupping her other hand on his cheek.
To avoid crying herself and eavesdropping on their lasts moments, Parker wiggled her hand from Eddie's.
Parker aimlessly walked, just set on giving the couple distance. Oblivious to the reopening wormhole, Parker's fingers fingers harshly swiped under her eyes to rid the couple tears that had fallen.
For the first time, the wormhole was generating wind to draw things into it. Parker was alerted of the wormhole by her shoes starting to slip across the floor.
Parker's eyes slammed shut when she was lifted from the ground, suddenly in familiar arms. Opening her eyes seconds later, she found Barry holding her, standing at the doorway to the Accelerator ring.
"We have to go!" Barry shouted, "Come on!"
Cisco was the first to run up the ramp and join them. After Joe grabbed Iris, practically dragging her away from Eddie's body, they started to run.
Running into Caitlin, Ronnie and Martin on the way out, they fled from the building.
Outside, the exact same harsh wind occurred. In the sky, above Central City was a blue and black colored hole, inhaling any and everything its wind could sweep up.
"So that's what we didn't want to happen," Cisco said, his eyes widened in amazement.
"It's feeding! A singularity won't stop, not until the Earth is devoured," Martin explained, "I'm afraid the accretion disc has already assembled!"
"What the fuck is that?" Parker shouted, throwing her hands on her head to stop her hair from whipping into Barry's face.
"The diffuse material that's in motion around the singularity!" Martin yelled back.
Annoyed, Parker shouted, "Dude, dumb it down!"
"We have to disrupt the motion!" Barry filled her in, "It's like the tornado, just upside down. And a lot scarier."
"Barry, that event has an energy level of six-point-seven tera electron volts. It cannot be stopped!" Martin cautioned.
"I have to try."
Barry dropped Parker's knees, allowing her shoes to hit the ground. He started to take back his arm from her waist, but stopped, wanting to hear her words.
Understanding time was running out, Parker rambled a fast, yet heartfelt farewell, "There's so much I want to say, but I can kinda sum it up by saying thanks for making me one half of a kick ass couple. And also, if this is my last chance to say it, I fucking love you, Allen."
Parker gave him a light shove on his chest, her eyes flickering at the massive singularity above their heads.
"Now, go save us, Flash."
Parker's eyes followed the trail of lighting as he ran to complete her demand. Barry sped up the side of buildings, stepping across debris to reach the sky.
In a flash, he disappeared into the singularity.
