Cartoon Characters
"Barry, you need to disarm Hartley immediately! He's a master of distraction; he's a master of hiding his true endgame." Dr.Wells warned.
Parker was diving through the files as quick as she could. She had multiple programs running on her computer, trying to get the answer to what Hartley took from the Cortex, in hopes it could be used to help Barry.
Cisco was sitting beside her, awaiting the answer. He mentioned that he would have helped if his head wasn't pounding.
After hours of searching, the computer finally found the file. Parker clapped her hands together in victory. She cheered while Cisco shouted, "A-ha!" and patted Parker's back for her hard work.
"A-ha what?" Dr.Wells eagerly wondered.
Cisco answered, explaining that Parker found it. She took that time to read the file that Hartley took. Cisco finished explaining they found it, and passed it off to Parker for information on what the file was.
Parker pouted."Uh oh."
"Uh oh what?" Caitlin asked, wincing.
"He may or may not have the data to Barry's molecular scans.." Parker mumbled. Her head dropped into her hands.
"Why would he want that?" Caitlin asked.
"He could get Barry's frequency," Dr.Wells answered.
Cisco pressed the button to speak to Barry. "Dude, we lied! Get out of there!"
However, Barry was already in pursuit of Hartley. "It's over, Hartley, you lose."
"Amazing," Hartley darkly chuckled. "He replaced me with you-- a total moron. I got you with the same trick twice."
Same trick? Parker tossed her head up. His suit! Hartley is using his suit against him!
Hartley activated the sound waves before Parker could reach the radio and tell Barry her discovery. Barry suppressed a scream. Team Flash had to suffer through Barry's gasping, grunting and groaning.
Parker's hands fell over her face, her fingertips balancing the glasses. She sat there, her heart wrenching with guilt.
"I got the idea watching you and Harrison chit-chat. I used your suits' own speakers to kill you. That feeling? That's your organs tearing apart. You activated the frequency when you disarmed me. In chess, we call that a discovered attack-- you don't see it 'til it's too late. Right, Harrison?"
Meanwhile, Caitlin's computer of Barry's vitals was beeping and flashing red, the warning that Barry was in extreme jeopardy.
"Barry's vitals are bottoming out! We have to do something!" Caitlin shouted.
Dr.Wells jerked his stick forward and zoomed behind the desk, pushing Parkers chair out of his way, his goal to use her computer. He opened a tab, found a satellite and began depcrypting the CPX codes.
"Barry's on a dam at rush hour-"
Parker's eyes widened. "Doc, are you going to use their radios?"
Dr.Wells nodded. "Yes, satellite sends a signal to the car and it comes out the speaker-"
"Yes, I know how satellite radio works!" Caitlin snapped rather impatiently. "How does that help Barry?"
Parker glanced at Caitlin. She was panicking-- something not approved of in the crime fighting business. Parker sent her a look that clearly read, 'get it together or get out.' They still had Barry alive. Her panicking was not making things better.
"I'm going to have the satellite send something other than a song. Hartley's about to hear something he wasn't expecting: a sound wave that will meet the frequency of and destroy his weapons."
Parker's mouth dropped in complete adoration. What an idea... I don't like him much, but damn! Go Dr.Wells!
Cisco held down the speaker for Parker since she couldn't reach it. "Barry Allen, can you hear me? What's my name?"
"Parker Elizabeth Sylas, I can kind of hear you!"
"Get your ass back here, please," She pleaded.
"And bring Hartley!" Cisco chimed.

Parker anxiously waited for Barry to arrive. At the first sign of the doors sliding, she launched from her chair. Barry ducked under the frame and made a surprised noise as she threw her arms around his neck, burying her face into his shoulder.
"Parker! Don't freak out, I'm fine! Well, there's a ringing in my ears, but other than that.."
Caitlin saw Parker scrunch her shoulders up. Although she couldn't see Parker's face, she could guarantee Parker was cringing.
"You are speaking very loudly," Caitlin pointed out.
Barry released Parker and smiled. "Sorry, honey."
"I think I'm going to take my Doctor's advice and lay down.." Cisco decided, rubbing the side of his head.
Caitlin opened her mouth in mock shock. "Wow, what a great idea."
Parker sensed Barry's need to speak to Wells alone. She grabbed her coat from her computer chair and promised she would wait for him outside. Before she left, she gave a high five to Dr.Wells. He held onto her hand for a second.
"I'm very proud of your understanding today."
"It's all about teamwork, Doc."

Barry wanted to make one stop before they went back to her place for the night. He carried her to the Police Station.
Eddie and Joe were in a hushed conversation by their desks when Parker and Barry jogged up to the doors. Seeing them come through the door, the cops broke apart.
Parker tugged her hand out of Barry's, resulting in him turning around with furrowed eyebrows.
"I'm going to let you talk to them alone," she said. "I'll just wait here."
Parker sat on the ledge below the mural. She pulled out her phone and brought up a notepad, her fingers wildly tapping the screen. She was typing every questionable thing Dr.Wells had done in the time she'd known him.
Dr.Wells List of Suspicion:
-No scars after break in
-Foot twitch at training
-Found Olivers name rather quickly
-Continued with the S.T.A.R. Labs project.
-Even Queenie is suspicious
-Telling Barry to focus on the Reverse-Flash
-He liked the name "Reverse-Flash"
-Hartley Rathaways hinting ("in a flash"/ taunting about us not figuring it out)
"Babe-" Barry started, and Parker jumped, almost dropping her phone. She quickly tilted the screen towards her chest to avoid his eyes from seeing it. That made him curious.
"Plans for your birthday. It's coming up, right? March 19th?" Parker slyly lied, adding a believable grin.
"Yes! I already have the best birthday present though," Barry sighed. He helped her stand and took her hips, pulling her into him.
"And what's that?" she giggled, sliding her arms around her neck.
He kissed her nose. "You, silly girl."
Parker smiled and patted his chest. "Thanks. Now, I have a secret about your birthday party that I need to share with Joe and Eddie. One moment."
Parker shuffled the distance quickly. She turned her back to Barry and urgently pointed her fingers at the cops. They continued burying themselves in their work, but gave her the signal to speak.
"Tomorrow morning at eight, I need you both at the West house," she ordered.
"For?" Joe asked.
"Wells."
That got their attention. The detectives glanced at each other, surprised, and nodded.
"And if Barry asks, this is about his birthday," Parker added. She sent them smiles, then ran back to Barry.
He caught her as she jumped into his arms. He took the back exit that time, zooming away to Parker's apartment the second he stepped out of the door.

Whether you've had to sneak out of bed while someone is occupying it, or you're trying to keep a pet asleep, we all can agree on one thing -- it's very hard.
It took Parker almost twenty minutes of shimmying inches at a time to get out of her bed. When she accomplished it, and Barry seemed to be fast asleep, she carefully tiptoed around her room to grab clothes. She slipped out of the door and changed in the kitchen, leaving her pajamas on the table and taking a Fiber One bar to go.
Parker casually broke through the door of the West house, sipping her hot chocolate-- from the stop to Jitters-- through the straw.
Joe and Eddie were sitting in the living room. They stood upon her entrance, but Parker sat down, giving them clearance to sit as well. The two cops were clearly not morning people. Their eyes were droopy and not very surprising, they both held cups of coffee in their hands.
Parker raised her eyebrows. "Wow. You two are the happiest people I've ever seen."
"Nobody is a morning person," Eddie grumbled, pausing to yawn. "What do you have to say about your boss?"
"And where's Barry?" Joe wondered.
Parker pulled her phone from her pocket and unlocked it, her finger gliding across the screen to find the list she wrote. "Barry is passed out at my place. What I'm about to tell you has to do with him. Well, sorta. I guess in the long run it would-"
"Parker," Joe sharply interrupted. His eyes were closed in annoyance. "It is too early for you to be indecisive."
Parker sheepishly smiled. She was being a bit too perky for such an early time. She found the list and held her phone out for Joe to take.
"I have a list of shit--sorry, stuff-- he's done that's questionable."
She leaned her elbows on her knees, biting her lip nervously, fearing rejection. If Joe didn't believe her, she had no clue who else would entertain her thoughts.
She decided to continue talking while Eddie and Joe read her list, in hopes she could convince them. "I just thought that since you're Barry's foster dad and I'm his girlfriend, we would share the goal of wanting to protect him."
"Obviously, you are around him far more than us, so it would be best if you were to keep an eye on him," Joe carefully said. He wanted Parker to understand his words properly.
Parker's eyes widened. "Wait. Does this mean you're believing me?"
"Joe had suspicion of his own. We're doing a secret investigation. You came to us at a convenient time," Eddie explained.
"Dudes, I'm a double agent," Parker exclaimed. She had visions flashing in her mind of her completing missions like James Bond until Joe started talking again.
"Parker, this is serious. This man could be highly dangerous. You cannot let anyone know you're doing this or seem like you're doing this, okay?"
Parker nodded. She already knew the secret was one that the S.T.A.R. Labs occupants couldn't be let in on.
"Just you and Eddie. Sweet. Cool. Nice!" Parker confirmed.
She got the feeling her positive attitude was annoying Joe, so she pushed herself up from the couch and walked to the doorway, ready to restart her Saturday morning with a big breakfast. She slipped through the door, but then popped her head back in.
"Ooh, before I forget, we have to do something really special for Barry. I told him I had this big thing planned for his birthday as a cover."
Joe rolled his eyes. "Okay, Parker. Bye."
"See ya!"
Parker took a cab back to her apartment. She tapped her hand on the wall as she walked through the hall, waking Barry up if he wasn't already awake. When she peaked into her bedroom, she found an empty bed.
"Allen?" she called.
She unlocked her phone on the way to the kitchen. Her thumbs tapped the screen, typing a message for Barry, but a bright yellow sticky note on the fridge caught her eye.
Babe,
I went to the lab. Cisco wanted to run some tests. I'll be back at 7 on the dot, and I need you to look smoakin' (see what I did there?) hot. You know why? Because its date weekend! I'm taking you out tonight and you can take me out on Sunday. Sound like a plan?? Can't wait to see you. (:
"Cute.." Parker mumbled to herself.
That meant Cisco and Barry were ruled out for that day. Parker planned to spend the day hanging out with someone.
Well, she thought, glancing around her apartment. I guess I could clean. It has been a while.
Parker changed into shorts and a shirt. She dug up her cleaning supplies from under the kitchen sink and spread them out on the table. She set her iPod into the speaker and set it to shuffle.
With Barry not distracting her, maybe she could actually have a successful cleaning day.
Parker organized her kitchen and living room first. She scrubbed the counters, cleaned the coffee table in the kitchen, dusted off the hard-to-reach surfaces and mopped her entire apartment. (How lucky was she to have a no carpet apartment?) There were two hours she dedicated to cleaning the fridge and cabinets of her kitchen. Not to mention the hour she accidentally spent organizing her movie-filled bookshelf.
Four hours later, her phone finally chimed. Parker heaved a long sigh. She took her phone and collapsed on the couch, holding her phone to her ear.
"Parker here."
"Hey, it's Caitlin. What's up?"
"I'm in the middle of cleaning."
"Oh, shoot. I was bored. I was wondering if you wanted to do something, but if you're busy-"
"-unless you want to clean. I doubt that."
"Have you done your whole house?"
"Just the kitchen and living room. That leaves my bedroom, the guest room and my bathroom."
"I'll do the guest room and bathroom, if you need help."
"Nah, I can't ask you to do that."
"I secretly love cleaning. Come on, it'll get me out of the house. You and Cisco always say I don't have a life!"
"I'm not sure that I qualify cleaning as a life, but okay. We can have ice cream after."
"Deal. I'll be there in fifteen minutes."
Parker chuckled, shaking her head. "Okay, Cait. See you."
"WAIT WAIT!" Caitlin shouted into the speaker.
"Yes?"
"Where do you live?"
>>>>>
Parker's slippers slid across the hardwood floor as she shuffled to answer the door. She pulled open the door.
Caitlin was grinning wildly. Like Parker, she had her hair tied up and was dressed in a sweatshirt and yoga pants.
"Hiya," Parker greeted.
Caitlin walked in and set her purse on the couch. She dug out a few things from within her purse while Parker closed and locked the door.
"I brought some sponges and my own bottle of all-purpose cleaner," Caitlin said. She held both items in separate hands, ready to be assigned a mission.
"Uh, my bathroom is down the hall and to the right. Guest room is all the way down. Are you okay cleaning those?" Parker wondered.
"Perfect," Caitlin agreed and walked away to start cleaning.
Parker watched Caitlin happily strut away. Eventually, she decided to accept her friends behavior and turned the dial up on her music so she could hear it across the house.
Parker straightened up her bedroom. She tore the sheets off her bed and threw them into the wash. She put away any clothes she previously washed and organized the mess that was covering up the desk. Since she spent the most time in her room, she cleaned in there pretty frequently. Parker finished in her room and set out to nail some frames into the walls in the hallway.
There were two giant collages that held four frames within them. Parker popped the backs out of the first frame and slid four pictures in, then copied the action for the second frame. Soon, the giant picture holders were hung across the hall from each other.
"Is that Iris?" Caitlin chimed.
Parker flinched, not realizing Caitlin had finished. She looked at the picture.
Iris and Parker at Eighth Grade graduation. Jokingly, Parker had jumped in Iris' arms and her mother had snapped a picture of the shock on both their faces as Iris actually caught Parker. For both girls, it was their favorite picture together.
The pictures were taken with mostly her brothers. Pictures of the four of them on the swing at the playground; Parker crying when her first tooth came out and Derek cracking up; Derek's bruise from Parker accidentally whacking him with a baseball bat. Eight photos of her childhood hung in the hall for her to look back on. Eight photos to remind her what she was living for.
"You have a beautiful family. Very pretty house, too," Caitlin complimented.
Parker smiled in appreciation. "Thanks. You ready for ice cream? I'm feeling Rocky Road."
"I'm more of a strawberry kind of girl," Caitlin admitted.
"You look like a strawberry girl," Parker agreed. Her eyes widened and she slowly turned her head, coming to a mind blowing discovery. "Oh, my God. You're Strawberry Shortcake in real life!"
