Mousepaw and her sisters recovered from the battle not long ago. Mousepaw's mentor, Dapplepad, and Rabbitpaw's mentor, Whitedawn, could not recover until a while. Stonepaw, Shadowpaw, Spiderpaw, Lionpaw, and Nightpaw were apprentices now. Foxpaw constantly jabbed with Spiderpaw. It was amusing for both Mousepaw and Rabbitpaw. In Applestar, Foxpaw began," kay, so, Spiderpaw pushed me into a lake. A lake. He knows I hate water!" She yapped. Mousepaw purred of amusement. Foxpaw rolled her eyes." Never, ever tell Spiderpaw about Applestar. If you do, I'll claw your pelt off!" She frowned.

Rabbitpaw chuckled." You and Spiderpaw are really close. You talk a lot about him." Rabbitpaw purred. Foxpaw glared at her." No! He's just—"

"Reaaaally handsome? Foxpaw and Spiderpaw, sitting in Applestar!"

Rabbitpaw purred." Shut up!" Foxpaw looked around in embarrassment. Rabbitpaw giggled." When are you going to have kits?" Foxpaw glared at her." Hey!" She cuffed her ear with her paw." I'm going to paint your fur if you don't shut up." Foxpaw hissed." What? Black, and dark grey underbelly and paws? Like Sssssspiderpaw?" Foxpaw hissed, her pelt fluffing up." Rabbitpaw!" Foxpaw growled. Mousepaw smiled in amusement. Foxpaw squashed berries and rubbed them all over Rabbitpaw's fur. Rabbitpaw giggled. Mousepaw smiled." You are obsessed with him." She admitted. Foxpaw stared at her." Mousepaw, not you!"

"Yes you! Foxpaw and Spiderpaw forever!" Rabbitpaw meowed cheerfully.

"Foxspider!" Mousepaw sang.

"Spiderfox!" Grinned Rabbitpaw. Foxpaw glared at her sisters, then turned away." Some help you are," she grumped." You love us," Mousepaw grinned." But not as much as—"

"Shut up!" Foxpaw frowned." There he is!" Rabbitpaw whispered, pointing to a black and almost black pelt. He had some dark grey fur, and his pelt was well groomed and clean. His paws made contact with a mouse." He's so athletic. Do you see how he caught that mouse?" Rabbitpaw giggled to Foxpaw, shoving her off." That's unneces—"

She landed on all fours, causing Spiderpaw to whip around. Foxpaw froze in place." You are a great climber." Spiderpaw grinned." You are a great nagger." Foxpaw snapped back. He stared at her in amusement." You are quite fussy." He pointed out.

"Was that a compliment?" She growled." Maybe." He shrugged." What are you doing out here?" She frowned." Hunting. Dapplepad is in a bad state," at the mention of her mentor severely injured, it gnawed at her stomach sharply." What are you doing out here?" He tipped his head, his eyes warming into curiosity." I was hanging out with my sisters." She admitted." In that tree?"He meowed." No!" She yelped quickly." Can I see inside there?" He asked." Is that why you guys barely have been training? I bet I could beat you!" He grinned." No!" She growled." You know I can!" He smiled smugly. She lunged at him, dust settling in the air, dirt and grass flying as well. He struggled under her for a moment before bucking her off and pinning her." See! I didn't even expect it, and here I am!" He purred. Foxpaw curled her lip back into a snarl and kicked him off. He giggled and purred." Come up here!" Rabbitpaw purred smugly." Rabbit—"

"You gave it away."

She did have a point. Spiderpaw looked around in the tree." It's cool in here." He studied the tree." Don't tell your million brothers." She frowned. He chuckled and nodded." I wouldn't dream of it." He meowed. Foxpaw threw him a suspicious look, before nodding in approval." If you do something bad, we're going to throw you off the tree." Foxpaw frowned, sourness crawling in her voice. Spiderpaw snorted and just leaped, branch after branch after branch. Mousepaw smiled before frowning." He has a point, though. We do spend a lot of time here." Mousepaw explained. Foxpaw and Rabbitpaw tilted their heads." All right, you have a point. See ya, Applestar."

Mousepaw went out hunting for Dapplepad. She spotted a rabbit. She dropped into a crouch, her tail hovering above the ground. She slowly crept towards the rabbit, breathing slowly and steadily. The rabbit was just cleaning itself, when she pushed off of the ground and landed on it, claws outstretched. She proudly claimed it with her jaws, walking back with her tail high.

"This is what happens when you disobey me!" A cat snapped, and a loud screech echoed into her ears. Mousepaw crept into a bush, gently sticking out her nose and eyes. Duskstar? She thought. She recognized the light brown tabby pelt. Silverfish! She recognized the she-cat. Duskstar swiped her claws across Silverfish's muzzle. She bit her neck, for what seemed like a short while until letting go. Silverfish stared up at her leader, crouched into a prickling tree. A cut above her eye was bleeding, trailing down to her eye. Her flesh on her neck was exposed to daylight. Duskstar lashed her tail before speaking,

"I told you! Our Clan has to be pure. Perfect! Blindly following rules. Love is a sickly thing that masks hatred. I have walked the earth for centuries. After DuskClan was sick and nothing left for me, I moved to what we call AmberClan. Just had to kill Amberstar plenty of times. And that new plant...from the Skyrock? I have to get to it before anyone else," Duskstar rasped." Why? Why would you do this?" Silverfish gasped." Because it was fun. And before I officially bite the dust, I want to have more fun. Makes sense though, right?" She purred.

"No."

No. That one word sent Duskstar mad, slashing her claws across her face. To give her a simple death, she ripped most of her throat. She neatly hid her body, digging up dirt and placing it back." Come out, Mousepaw." Hissed the sick leader. Mousepaw trembled and stepped out." You are going to keep this a secret. Right?" She hissed. Mousepaw nodded, a lump lodged in the back of her throat.

"Good." A satisfied smile filled Duskstar's face." If you break it," Duskstar snarled." I can take away this Clan like I did to the two others that were originally here." She smiled." Wh-what were they?" Mousepaw trembled.

"NightClan and SunClan."
