Kira watched Kisa and Momiji practice their dance for the New Years Banquet in just a couple of more days. It was still a weird feeling for her, since she has been absent for the last 8 years of the yearly event, due to her fight with Akito.

Shigure had tried multiple times to bring her, but since Akito had no said anything about her absence, it was never an issue.

It came to Akito's surprise and relief when Kira had announced her return for the Banquet. Though, what shocked the elder half was that Kira had requested that she'd foresee all the preparations.

Momiji and Kisa both were shocked and nervous at her sudden appearance since the last time they remembered her at the banquet was when they were very young, so when Kira suddenly arrived at their practice, both were stunned. However, since Kira did not have the piercing stare Akito normally had, they were able to practice without major mistakes.

"Momiji, Kisa" Kira called out to the pair who stopping their dance midway and turning to her

"Yes, Kira?" They asked carefully

"You two do not need to practice anymore. I've seen the performance enough to know you both will do well. Both of you can rest for the remainder of the preparations, just make sure to check in with Ayame and see if he is done with your outfits"

Momiji blinked at her words and shared a look at Kisa. If he was perfectly honest-if they were perfectly honest-the two would have thought for a second that the person before them was not Kira.

The reason is mostly that it was no secret that Kira hardly gave interest when it came to either of them. She hardly has any interest and just does her duties without interacting with them. So, the pair expected to practice for the entire day, even if they were exhausted.

Though, it was mostly the impression they've gotten on her since she's never been around them enough like Akito.

The only ones besides the three she lives with, that Kira interacts normally with was Ayame, Hatori, and Hatsuharu.

The two young Zodiac's both nodded and left the hall.

"Are you two surprised?" Shigure voiced from behind them as he leaned on a wall.

"Shii!" Momiji jumped and turned with a pout," Why do you do that a lot?! It's not fair how you always appear without saying anything!"

The older male laughed and placed his hand onto Kisa's head who was already hugging him.

"Kira may seem intimidating and he may be like his brother in some ways, however, the one thing that you two don't need to worry about is being so stiff and scared around him. It might be asking for a lot, but why not try to just speak with him without worrying about his position?"

"You say that...but-it's hard..." Momiji looked towards the hall and back to Shigure," We don't know much about him, do we, Shi?"

"You aren't to be under any blame, Momiji," He expressed with a smile that the young ones both noticed to be the first time they've ever seen on him since Shigure only ever shown a distant one.

"During the banquet, you two should observe Hatsuharu when he interacts with Kira and you'll see enough to understand what I mean"

He soon dismissed himself and walked into the hall. It was no surprise that Kira heard him since he knew she was near.

"Are you trying to scare those kids, Shigure? Do you have any idea how much they-specifically Kisa feel about me?" Those were the first words he was welcomed with when he walked into the hall.

Shigure chuckled while crossing his arms," Oh don't pout, you know, regardless of your want to be so intimidating, you are really just seeking for some attention. If I don't give some of them a boost, you'll just continue to scare them"

Kira huffed and walked past him-however, as much as she tried to brush this off, she felt affectionate towards the idea of possibly having less of the Zodiac' fearing her.
