Kira had soon been visited by Tohru who was still in the hospital as well. The teen was rambunctious as she was and with the wall between that was just there, was no longer present. Akito often came over to join them and the three were practically becoming inseparable.

The adults had no idea how much they had desired the friendship with the teen and having the chance to just talk to her without the worries of anything behind them was truly a breather the adults needed.

Since Kira and Akito had been somewhat isolated with only being around their family and servants, it was something desirably soothing. Kira's times with Tohru was nothing compared to the time they had currently.

Akito was still somewhat stiff to some things, not being as audacious as her younger sister, but Tohru slowly opened the doors for her to walk through when she was ready.

The next person that Kira had allowed to visit her and know about her well being was Kureno.

"You have been staying at Shigure's, why is that?" Kira asked the male who lowered his head in shame.

"I...I just haven't had the chance to speak with Akito. I feel so ashamed for a lot of things, but the one thing I am most unproud of is that I am scared of not knowing what to say to her. Since the time I freed Rin, she completely shut me out"

"Well, you both have to meet each other halfway, you know. What my sister and you each need is, to be honest with each other and confront your feelings that have been unsettled for so many years...actually...before that, let me apologize to you"

Kureno looked at her confused," About what?"

"Making you play the artificial role the person I loved...You see, Hatori explained to me about this uncommonly happening to patients who suffer a serious head trauma. Since I was so angry at Shigure and Akito, part of my mind had sought out to the person that I knew would hurt them. It would seem that was you, considering how I latched onto you for my display of affections. You had been caught in a crossfire that-

Kureno chuckled and reached over ruffing her hair," You know, you make it much more complicated then it needs to be? Regardless of how it started, I had decided to agree with it, because Akito asked me to do it because she said it was the...least she could do.

"So, you put aside...your own happiness just because of my misunderstanding from the past" Kira lowered her head, " I unintentionally became the person who was in between you both"

"Kira, you may see it that way, but may I have a chance to explain something?" She nodded and Kureno looked at her, " Maybe the way things had gone for us and even for you was just how it was supposed to be. I mean, from the time we were kids, we had already jumped into being with the one who we care about the most. I mean as children, it might have been way too early for us to rely on those emotions. So, the chance that came to us, all four of us, of being apart, going through all that pain-it only made it show that the love is real. I know for a fact, that I love Akito for who she is. I got to see her at her worse and still manage to love her endlessly"

Kureno smiled and placed a hand on her head, "Wouldn't you say it's the same for Shigure? You both evolved throughout the time and saw sides of each other that probably wouldn't have happened if we didn't have this in-between that allowed us to experience the pain and hardships. I mean there is no relationship that is built around only the good parts"

Kira chuckled and scratched her cheek, " Somehow you said the words that left me undone. I can't believe I never looked at it that way...wouldn't you agree, Akito" Kira said turning to open the door behind her.

Kureno took a moment before his eyes widened seeing her sister walk out of the room. Akito had her head lowered as she held her arm rubbing it. For a second, she stood still before looking up with tears running down her face.

"I am so sorry for how horrible I had been to you, for everything...for putting you in a situation you clearly did not want to be in" Kureno had not given her a chance to continue her apologies because he was quick to his feet and near her in seconds.

Kira placed her hands on her cheeks as it turned red watching Kureno kiss Akito. She turned and sat abruptly on her bed with her back turned to them.

"Uh, when you two are done...can I ask you guys to do me a favour?" Kira said bashfully in embarrassment, not knowing how to act," But...uh no rush you two can-erh...nevermind" Kira placed her hands on her ears and closed her eyes," Please refrain from anything further with kissing, I will give you both a couple more of minutes, so...yeah" Kira said loudly since her ears were covered.
