"Jismon Ke Peeche Phirte Ho Bhaage
Utro Kabhi Rooh Mein...
Hota Kya Aashiq, Kya Aashiqui Hai
Hogi Khabar Tab Tumhe..."

He closed his eyes as the line in one of the most melodious voice fell on his ears and it touched his heart like a soft breeze that touches the tree and the new fresh leaves sway with it. He had heard this line a numerous times and yet every time it managed to touch his soul. The line had deep meaning which not everyone could understand. He had lived that line. For nine whole years in addition to the seven years of his lovely and serious relationship.

The love he had in his heart for her was irreplaceable. He knew he couldn't ever give that place to anyone. But things had taken turn. His life was turned upside down, his world was almost tasteless and plain. He reluctantly had to get married but it seemed that Destiny had finally decided to be nice...But at the wrong time of course! He was free from the chains holding him and his love. He didn't care if she was out there married or single or anything. His love for her was enough to keep him alive and keep him going.

He laughed hysterically as he was the one who used to rant over how these movies or book showed the idea of true love never dies and one can wait for ages. He couldn't believe people could do that until he was in that place. That very place where the only things kept him going were : the hope that he would meet her again and her love. He had always laughed on the movies where hero and heroine meet after decades and confess their love...

Look how the tables have turned! He laughed at how they don't move on and here he was still trying to get over her. Wasn't his life ironic? Pretty much!

The voice-over of the Spotify advertisement brought him out of his thoughts and he looked at his phone. He sighed. It displayed no text neither a call from her side.

"Shehnaaz" He sighed. It had been three hours since he met her and boy! He was smitten again.

Her aura screamed confident woman. Her powerful eyes held a different glint and the way she presented herself, she looked independent and absolute queen.

As he dug deep into their recent conversation, the line "Is your husband starving you?" Hit him. He facepalmed himself and felt guilty. Why did he say that on the first place? Was this something Siddharth Sharma would do? And how humiliated she must have felt? Siddharth sighed audibly and cursed himself. He decided to apologize her and moved onto the other piece of conversation.

The classic Shehnaaz chuckle! No matter how much a person changes, some habits just don't go and in Shehnaaz's case it was the habit of laughing at the most serious situation! Siddharth went on analyzing every single sentence until he realized he had to text her.

He picked up the phone and still it displayed nothing. The hope in his heart was dying slowly until his subconscious mocked him. "You remember what you have saved your number in her phone?"

That thought came down like a Kickstart in his brain and his eyes lit up faster than a firefly would!

"Gosh! Siddharth! You have saved your name in her phone as s-EX-y. How will she know you idiot! Why would you even do that at the first place. I think you need help."

"Shut Up!" Siddharth exclaimed out loud. He actually did feel stupid. Who would save his name s-EX-y in his ex-girlfriend's phone?!

"Are you alright Papa?" He heard a baby voice and a small hand on his broad shoulder. The little one yawned and rubbed his eyes.

"Of course! What happened? Aur tu soya nahi abhi tak?" Siddharth asked as he pulled the small hand and made the little one sit on his lap. He ruffled Athaang's silky hairs and Athaang pushed his hand away.

"Mujhe susu lagi thi isiliye main utha tha but the main point is..." Athaang said innocently still struggling to keep his eyes open. "You are acting weird! Jabse hum party se aaye hai, tabse you are acting weird. And I know you cried." He continued and arched his eyebrow up.

"Kuch bhi! Main nahi roya!" Siddharth shot back.

"Mujhe pata hai aap ro rahe the. Main aapko baccha lagta hun?" The nine year old fourth grader asked. How cute! Siddharth smiled.

"Aapne phirse Ashiqui 2 dekhi na? Kitni baar dekhoge papa! Bas bhi karo! Aur ek baat batao, aap har baar kaise ro dete ho? Hey Bhagwaan!" Athaang said and slapped his forehead. And Siddharth grinned like an idiot. Aashiqui 2...

Aashiqui 2 was not just a movie for him but a memory...to be more precise a chest full of memories! He swiftly slipped into the past where he was the happiest.

"Siddharth late ho raha hai. Jaldi aa na!" Shehnaaz spoke on the phone and hung her helmet on the side mirror of the bike. Yes a bike. Her brother's bike who was apparently out of the station along with their parents.

"Aa raha hun. Chill kar thoda." Siddharth said and locked the door behind him, holding the phone between his ear and shoulder. He walked down the stairs and almost ran towards the back gate of his society. He climbed over gate and jumped on the other side. The gate was open but still he had to do that! The sky was in hues of blues as it was a chilly evening in winters. The exceptional excitement that comes along with the winter was great. The typical laziness and the craving to just jump on the bed with comforting blanket was specially reserved to winters. He loved winter and loved to see the school kids standing near the bus stop, unwillingly going to school.

Jumping to the other side, he looked across the lane and found her scrolling on the phone and ruffling her hair. She looked an absolute badass with the bike, that black jacket and her tresses that were just above her shoulders. Oh! How much he loved her!

"Gadhi!" He called out and her head snapped at him.

"Siddharthhhh Yaar! Main tujhe nahi leke jaungi movie dekhne. Dhang se baat kiya kar." Siddharth heard and chuckled at how she squinted her eyes.

"Mujhe to ana bhi nahi tha." Siddharth murmured under his breath.

"Jaa bhak. Nikal." Shehnaaz scoffed as she heard him.

"Nahi nahi nahi... Mera matlab tha... Romantic movie kyu yaar? Koi action wali movie dekhte hai nah! Humesha romantic films hi dekhte hai ya phir comedy. Let's have a change na..." Siddharth covered his slip up.

"Bollywood mere baap ka nahi hai. Abhi Ashiqui 2 hi release hui hai aur koi movie nahi hai. Aana hai to aa varna main kisi aur ko pakadti hun." Shehnaaz stated and looked away. Siddharth sighed and then smiled. He absolutely hated Romantic movies. And was not Romantic either! But for her, he could do anything. Maybe this won't be that bad. His mind told and the next half an hour went in Siddharth apologizing and Shehnaaz cutting him off every two seconds.

"Main ghar pe jaa ke Fifa khelung ab. Bas ho gaya. Aur kitna manau?" Siddharth launched his final weapon and it hit the right spot. Shehnaaz hated video games and Siddharth was an absolute Gamer. He loved video games more than anything and could play them all day!

"Ugh! Fine!" Shehnaaz said. "Baith." She said wearing her helmet and handed Siddharth one.

"Abey yaar! Meko dandruff hota hai." Siddharth whined as soon as he saw his helmet.

"Chittar padenge sabke saamne Siddharth! Fucking Dandruff can be cured but our lives are way more important. We can't put our lives at risk just because of stupid dandruff." Shehnaaz explained. She absolutely hated the idea of even touching the vehicle without helmet and seat belt. Are our lives more important or our appearance? Ironically, if we won't be there, what is the use of this appearance? As simple as that. Why don't people get this simple thing?

Siddharth took the helmet and wore it properly. Shehnaaz smiled and started the bike.

Siddharth's heart skipped a beat as she pushed the button and turned her wrist. The feeling was different...extremely different. This was the first time he sat behind her on the bike. Either times it would be opposite but this was extremely special. She balanced it perfectly like a pro-rider and he shivered as the cold wind gushed by and the bike speeded up.

Her pitch black shoulder length tresses flew with the air and tickled his neck as he swiftly slipped his arms around her waist and holding her. She gasped and he smiled widely. He couldn't contemplate how he felt. The flutters, the butterflies, the erratic heartbeats and the blush on his cheeks gave away everything. He always wished this to happen. He wondered how it would be to sit behind her while she drives the bike. He wondered how that moment would be when would hold her and here he was!

He gasped this time as she speeded up the bike through not so busy highway and he held onto her tighter. It was a chill Wednesday evening and a very odd hour to watch a movie in theaters but that was how they could manage. Sneaking away from everyone's eyes to be in each other's arms and enjoy each other's harmony. The harmony of their wildly beating hearts, the harmony of their love and the harmony of their minds. It was thrill and terrifying at the same time. The never-ending ambiguity of what ifs... What if they get caught? What if someone recognized them? What if they were separated?

Shehnaaz pulled the brakes at the signal and Siddharth snapped back from his thoughts. He swiped away the thoughts under the carpet and decided to enjoy the moment.

"Dhoom mein agar tu hoti nah to Jay Dixit pant mein moot deta!" Siddharth said and looked at her through the mirror.

"Eww! Kuch bhi!" Shehnaaz said rolling her eyes and shrugged her shoulders.

"Aree Sacchi! Kassam lagge!" Siddharth exclaimed.

"Right. Right. Right." Shehnaaz giggled.

"But seriously, kya chalati hai yaar tu bike! Maza aagaya! Bank wank chori kare?" Siddharth spoke, tightening his hold on her waist. He loved hyping her up! And she was absolutely worthy of all the appreciation.

"Bank Chor!" She exclaimed and the green light lit up. Pacing up they reached the theater.

***

The yellow lights stuck to red colored sound absorbing walls dimmed slowly as the huge screen slowly light up. The theater was packed as the extremely positive reviews of the film were floating around and that induced curiosity in the audience. Sitting in the cozy corner, Shehnaaz was very excited to watch the movie as Romance was her kind of genre. She sat comfortably on the red folding chair and secured Siddharth's right arm with her two small hands. Keeping her head on his shoulder, she smiled widely as this was their first movie date together "she" had asked him out for it. She was not someone who would hesitate or think for hours and days to ask or say something.

She did as her heart told and her mind reasoned. His shocked face was the evidence of her success when she told him about the plan of this date. She absolutely adored the sight where his brows almost raised higher than his forehead when she said, "Main bike leke aaungi tujhe pickup karne. Tu ready rehna." How surprised he was! And of course the way he just held her when they were coming here. Her heart was wildly racing and for a short second she lost the balance! And how he knew she was nervous and hyped her up. Where did she find him? Her heart asked as they sat back after the National Anthem.

The movie started and the starting itself had a huge impact on the audience. The precise and powerful element of "Music" made a special place in everyone's hearts. The slow yet impactful character development of Aarohi and Rahul. The Iconic Jacket scene where they Kiss in the middle of the street with drizzling clouds as if showering love and the black jacket...Everything was so beautiful.

And also The songs were as goodas the screenplay... "Tum Hi Ho" depicting every lover's state and "Chahu Main Ya Na" depicting the ambiguity of a lover's heart. "Sun Raha Hai Na Tu" giving away the pain of a broken heart and "Milne Hai Mujhse Aayi" showcasing the state where one is used to the loneliness. Oh how beautiful it all was! All the stages of the Journey Of Love. But what hit them both was the song, "Aasan Nahi Yahan". This lyrics were so sharp and poisonous that they straight pierced their heart, intoxicating them more with "Aashiqui". As dramatic it may sound, it was actually the truth. As the melody proceeded, they looked at each other. Their eyes met. Giving away their state of mind and what they wanted say. Reading each other's eyes, they blinked and looked away conveying the other person to forget and enjoy the movie.

The movie was amazing. Just like Shehnaaz had expected. The fresh and young debut faces deserved every bit of appreciation and so did the Debut Singer, "Arijit Singh." Siddharth who was reluctant to watch the romantic movie was on the edge of his seat throughout. And by the end of the movie, he was a crying mess and Shehnaaz absolutely adored him! She adored how he placed his elbow on the rest and hand under his chin, covering his sobs with his fingers as tears rolled down his eyes. And that's exactly when she realized why he was so reluctant!

He didn't want to show her this face of his. Where he loved romantic movies and movies in general and would get attached to the character. He would cry buckets if the main characters did not end together or died...for that matter. He almost cried for a week when he saw "The Fault In Our Stars." Shehnaaz smiled softly and kissed his cheek and he snapped back wiping his face. The movie was awesome but Siddharth's left arm was numb completely as her head rested on it throughout. Did he complain? No. Did he like it? Hell yes!

The movie date ended with them having a simple yet romantic dinner. And of course was sealed with a perfect kiss as Shehnaaz dropped him off and returned to her house.

"Are you even listening?" Athaang's high pitched voice bought him back from the memories and he smiled at him apologetically.

"You know what? Main jaa raha hun. Aapko jo karna hai karo." Athaang huffed and went. Siddharth sighed helplessly as be watched the kiddo get up from his lap and go away. Siddharth felt horrible for not listening to him and was about to turn when he felt a small kiss on his cheek. His lips stretched in a smile.

"Tu vapis aa gaya? Koi toh keh raha tha main jaa raha hun. Aapko jo karna hai karo." Siddharth imitated squinting his eyes.

"Aree...vo...Aapko andhere se darr lagta hai na...To maine socha aapko saath leke aau. Kahi main so gaya aur aap darr gaye toh?" Athaang exasperated showing his toothy grin with the huge window. How could Siddharth even live without this smile!

"Accha?" Siddharth asked picking up the small body compared to his.

"Hmm..." Athaang said. "Vaise aapko pata hai aaj party mein kya hua? Aur khaane mein kya tha?" Athaang asked as if creating a suspense as his eyes went wide.

"Tell me more about it!" Siddharth said and well, Athaang's endless talks indulged him in his small world.
