Today was the side mission expedition, Levi and Hanji stood with the three carts they would be taking for their week stay. In the first cart held food, water and extra surprises they would need. (Gas, sword blades, extra wire and tools to fix up any gear). In the second cart held the working tools to use against the rumble and the gun powder to help block up the bigger parts of the rumble. The last cart just held the tents, camp wood to make fire and the little bits to slowly set up a camp close by. 

Two horses each to each cart, each horse belonging to one of the soldier's being brought along so they could use the horse singly if needed. Levi glanced around, it was still rather early in the morning and many of them would rather still be sleeping since the sun was barely even up yet. But they had to go early, go why the titans were still less likely to move around and gain as much distance as they could. Sure, by midday they should reach the rumble and can use the sunlight as they take in the damage and look for a place to camp. Hoping for titans to come at them so they knew where set up the best watch out spot or where to set up tents that titans would struggle going near. Than by night, they would be set up and go over he game plan to use. 

He tapped his gear, it was going to a long day and an even longer week for them all. But, if everything worked out one way or another, he'll finally be able to keep one promise. To finally say what he needed to say to the right girl and that's what made him determined to make this week completed. 

He turned as he noticed more footsteps heading over and turned to see his own squad. Eld and Gunther looking dead tired but already accepted they had no choice over being awake this early and accepted their fate for going on this expedition. Oluo looked more awake but was clearly sulking over being awake this early and having to head outside the walls for a whole week, at least he was only complaining in his head .. for now at least. Petra on the other hand, she was fully awake and looking best .. she was looking too nice for just waking up and having to known that she'll be trapped outside the walls for a long week .... Levi knew, this really was going to be a long week. 

Moblit came following along with the rest of the other members joining the two squads. Connie ranting in Spanish why looking dead tied. Ymir, Christa and Reiner just barely walking with their eyes open and clearly needed another few minutes to wake up. Jean was more awake than the rest, carrying a sleeping Marco on his back like it was no big deal. Sasha munching away on both a potato and a bit of stolen bread, one in each hand and she took turns eating between the two. 

But Mikasa, she made both him, Hanji and his squad turn to her. She was silently walking along, Eren thrown over her right shoulder as he angrily spoke in his sleep and Armin tucked under her left arm just sleeping peacefully. Jean and Mikasa had became team parents and instead of complaining they just got use to it and gave up. 

Moblit just walked over embarrassed, he was sent to wake the group up and make sure they were all ready and fit to outside the walls for a week before leading them to the edge of the camp where Levi and Hanji was waiting. He clearly had to walk around knowing how embarrassed and strange the soldiers looked right now. 

"Should we put them in squads now or wait until we're by the wall gates and about to head out?" Moblit asked as he scratched the back of his head, yawning a little once he finished speaking. 

"We'll wait until we reach the gate, give everyone a chance to fully wake up" Levi answered before Hanji could. Just once glance to their group and it was clear they all needed a little longer to wake up and clear the morning fogginess in their brains. 

"Have you seen who's squad they'll be in?" Hanji asked with a silly little grin, wiggling her eyebrows as she held the bit of paper that held the formed squads. 

Levi raised an eyebrow, wondering what Hanji knew and he didn't before he followed her line of sight towards Mikasa. Levi watched as Mikasa placed Armin on the front of the first cart, his sleeping body sloughing a little before she moved to put Eren in the second cart. 

Levi eyes grew wide before he snatched the paper form Hanji who chuckled, Moblit moving to help everyone find out where they'll be during the travel. Connie and Sasha sitting on the third cart but Connie offered his seat to a still sleeping Marco who Jean placed on the cart. Christa sitting beside Armin even when she's meant to be in cart two and Eren was meant to be with Armin. Ymir offered Connie the second cart seat since she and Reiner was meant to be riding on their horses beside the carts. Mikasa, Jean, Moblit and Levi normal squad members riding around as protection.

Levi stood with wide eyes, staring at the names on the list before sending a look towards the main building. He was clearly going to kill Erwin once they return, his murderous thoughts interrupted by Hanji laughing like a mad man beside him. 

"At first, I agreed with Erwin since this was done why you and Mikasa were upset. We decided it would be a good idea to separate you both but now. You two fixed things .. right?" Hanji spoke, placing her hands on her hips and looking to her fellow captain before glancing to Mikasa who was with Jean talking beside their own horses, clearly deciding who'll be on what side of the carts out of them, Ymir and Reiner. 

"We're not fighting anymore, we're ourselves again" Levi answered softly, crossing his arms over his chest, his eyes staying on Mikasa who was nodding at something Jean said. 

"That's even worse, why didn't you snog her face off yet. Get married or something, yikes! What a lady got to do to make you both move on to the next step away .. I think even a titan moves quicker than you two and he eats any love interest he sees" Hanji scoffed back, throwing her hands in the air making Levi raise an eyebrow towards her. 

"We'll be something once this mission is over, I couldn't risk being something now if things go wrong for us. Our mission decides the future of the Survey crops one way or another" Levi sighed as he rolled his eyes, letting his arms fall to his side. 

"Aww, aren't you two just adorable" Hanji cooed, poking at Levi cheek making him glare in the corner of his eyes why he was trying to watch Mikasa wave over Ymir and Reiner. 

"If you like our duo that much than give me Mikasa and you can have the pig that leaves crumbs all over the place" Levi grumbled back, smacking at Hanji hand why she laughed. 

"Deal but I'm the first person who you two will tell once you both confess and make it official" Hanji replied with a big sister smile, acting like she just watched little brother fall in love for the first time and in a way, she did. 

"You'll be the first person I tell, I can't promise over Mikasa since she seems to have her own fan club" Levi sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, his eyes falling back to a soundly sleeping Armin and Eren. 

"Oh yeah, I know .. I'm member number three, Moblit is number five and Mike is number seven with Erwin as eighth. I think Eren is four and Jean is sixth. Armin is two and well .. number one, is .. never mind. But hey! You can still sign up for the fan club" Hanji replied without much care, changing her mind as she noticed Levi unhappy face over her comment and offered him a chance to join.

"Hang on, sign up .. I should be number one. I've been charmed from her since the start and I deserve to be the one who desired her the most" Levi argued back, grabbing at Hanji jacket nad yanking her closer. 

Levi froze as Hanji just grinned, a sparkle in her eyes as she found this whole thing amusing. Her hands slipping to her jacket before popping out a bit of paper.

"You are number one" Hanji answered, holding the bit of paper out to see Levi name at the top of the list making him blush. 

"I hate you" Levi shot back before releasing her jacket and turning around, sulking over how easily she played him. 

"Oh, I'm only just beginning. Wait until you do actually start dating her, I won't hold anything back" Hanji smirked and started walking away while Levi took a deep breath trying his best to not want to murder everyone around him.

They all soon got on their horses and started heading out, looking around as the towns and streets seemed mostly dead apart from any homeless, drunks or soldiers on night shift. They were waking up, the cold wind smacking them hard in the face and being the perfect wake up call for them all. 

Once they reached the gates, they all climbed off their horses once more and were told what squad they would be working in before they changed around in the positions given to them with the carts.

Eren and Armin was in cart one, their horses clipped on to it to help pull them along. Christa and Marco was in the second cart, their horses clipped up to their cart as well. Connie and Sasha in the third cart, their own horses set up as well. 

Hanji would be taking charge over this mission making her ride at front with both Levi and Moblit beside her. 

Ymir and Reiner would be riding on the right of the carts with Oluo and Petra as their back up. Mikasa and Jean would be to the left of the carts with Eld and Gunther riding as their back up close to them. 

Once they all seemed ready enough to head out they did, the walls gate not even being pulled up all the way, just enough to let them ride under and head out. Levi sent a real glare over his shoulder for the soldiers laziness over the gate even if he did understand why they did it.
