Saturday came and Mikasa left her barracks dressed half in uniform and half out. She had her uniform white trousers a nice light blue long sleeve shirt. She did have a skirt but since it was rather windy, she wasn't going to risk walking around in a skirt like the other girls planned to, well Ymir had her normal shorts on. She had Furlan cape on to help protect her from the chill of the wind and she also offered to train with Armin and Eren in the woods later, Armin was still unease over moving targets and wanted some help but this morning he and Eren were visiting their family. 

Mikasa did go on about to see Hanji but left rather soon as Moblit was running around with a bucket of water trying to pour it over Hanji who held a burning bit of paper and laughing like a mad scientist. Mikasa wasn't a full soldier yet meaning she didn't have to handle with any of that mess. 

She thought about seeing Erwin but than she remembered Levi telling her last night over the commander having no clue she was here. She'll leave the big surprise for tomorrow evening when he calls them into his office, it was going to be rather fun. 

She enjoyed walking around the camp, it felt the same as it was three years ago. The only difference was some soldiers were older, dead or new faces filled the camp mostly. She was glad to see some group of soldiers she once saw four years ago, finding them with some of their still living friends in the same place they always hanged out before she left, some had extra new faces gathered around them but it came with the job. 

Finally stepping into the main building, passing Mike offer as quick and silently as she could in case he was inside. Well, she knew he was inside since she could hear Gelgar and Nanaba voices inside chatting around inside, Mike most likely doing paperwork at his desk.

She made her way to the second floor, slowing her steps and pretending she was a full fledge soldier heading to see her captain. It was use to see a soldier in either their jacket or cape and she left her jacket back in the barrackers not wanting to be called on for any extra duties. 

Reaching the door and knocking, waiting for a bit before entering as no one called out. She couldn't hear any voices inside and hoped there wasn't a secret meeting going on. Stepping in and finding Levi sitting on the sofa within his office, no one else around.

"I never said enter" Levi broke the silence first, tilting his head back to see who was at the door and watching Mikasa close the door behind her.

"When do I ever listen to you" Mikasa smugly shot back, spinning around once the door was shut making the cape fly up a little and show her top.

"The top suits you" Levi commented as he lifted his head, crossing one leg under his bent one to make room for her to join him on the sofa. 

"Thanks" Mikasa muttered back shyly, she knew it wasn't the best compliment but it was honest and she liked those the most. She hated being capped pretty, beautiful or other's saying she looked good in anything whenever she tried on a set of clothes or was out of uniform since she got the same simply compliments in uniform. With Levi, he spoke as he saw it and that's all she needed to feel happy inside. 

"You know, my office is technically closed today since I'm off duty" Levi spoke again as Mikasa sat down by his feet, taking notice of his own outfit. Black trousers, no socks or shoes on and he wore a greyish-blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He really wasn't in any form of uniform.

"Well, if it was closed than you should have locked the door" Mikasa shot back without much care, leaning back in the chair and earning Levi to lay his bent leg over her legs, both just relaxing without much issue.

"Normally other's are too scared to come near my office, even when I haven't called for them" Levi smugly answered since he enjoyed scaring other's enough to keep them away from him unless he called for them. But even when he calls for someone, they're always frightened around him. 

"Too bad I'm not like most" Mikasa answered with a shrug, placing one arm on the back of the sofa while her other hand rested on Levi leg. 

"Hmm, too bad" Levi hummed in agreement, closing his eyes as he rested his head on the pillow. 

They stayed in a content silence, Mikasa rubbing her thumb without knowing it and Levi just rhythmed his breathing with hers, the down stroke of her thumb being when they let the breath out. A content and calm air filling them and both of them were just at peace, no burden or thought could reach them in this moment. 

Levi opened his left eye, staring the women opposite to him and taking notice over her eyes falling shut as she relaxed into the moment. He pulled his leg off her lap, feeing her hand almost slide away with it, poking her thigh with his toes. 

He lifted his hand from his stomach, hanging it over the top of the sofa and letting his other hand hang over the edge as Mikasa starting falling sideways. Her head landing on his chest, her ears listening to his heartbeat and making her relax even more as her arms loosely curled around him, feeling his hand drop to her back she spread her legs out behind her. 

Both just letting time pass without either caring over their state, a peaceful and dreamless sleep taking over them both as they stayed huddled up in the position.

Why some might comment over the angles of their bodies, mentioning it looking uncomfortable or sore but to them, they were just fine and unbothered over how other's may see them.

They were interrupted, mostly Levi forced out of his peaceful sleep by a knock on the door. He would have just ignored it knowing anyone but Mikasa would storm in but than he heard the door rattle making him more alert.   

"Why did you lock the door" Levi whispered more to himself than to Mikasa as he glanced to her, playing with the ends of her hair why she stayed sleeping, looking rather cute as she lowered all her defences before him. 

"I didn't want to be disturb as I cornered you" Mikasa answered, her eyes staying closed and she made no effect in moving or getting up leaving Levi trapped.

"Corner me?" Levi asked, forgetting over the fact that someone tried walking in. Lifting the arm he hanged over the sofa and letting blow flow through it again, keeping his other hand on Mikasa lower back. 

"Over the rumour, it still hasn't calmed down. Eren mother keeps an ear out over all rumours about you since Eren is a fan and Eren tells us during our training days over what she heard. But there's one rumour that hasn't faded since it was spoken .. I wanted to know if its truth, I need to know the truth over it" Mikasa sleepily muttered, her eyes stayed closed as she stayed relax. Her arms still loosely around him as he carried on playing with her short hair. 

"It's unlike you to worry over a rumour, you listen but you don't act unless you must. Is it really that bad?" Levi asked, a little surprised over Mikasa being bugged by any rumour over him.

"Hmm" Mikasa hummed making Levi raise an eyebrow.

"Bad for me or for you?" Levi asked instead, wondering what got on her nerves.

"Me" Mikasa admitted with a pout, opening her eyes and lifting her head a little to meet his gaze.

"Than I can say with all my soul, the rumour isn't true. I won't ever let something bad happen to you, not you" Levi spoke gently, moving his hand from her hair and stroking a finger over her cheek. 

"But it might be good for you" Mikasa replied, glancing away as she knew she was being selfish over this.

"If it's bad for you, I'm sure it won't be good for me" Levi shot back without a second thought, his eyes falling to her scar as he ran his fingertips over it. 

"Not going to ask over what rumour?" Mikasa asked unsure, meeting with his soft gaze.

"If I'm honest, I much rather not. Let's just enjoy the moment a little longer before I call you an idiot for overthinking about a false rumour" Levi answered, running his hand through her hair as she stared at him.

"I do sound like an idiot, don't I" Mikasa sighed in defeat before leaning into his tough a little more, closing her eyes. 

"Didn't Furlan always told you not to be an idiot" Levi commented, leaning his head back as they just stayed relax and at peace.

"He'll be laughing at me right now" Mikasa admitted as Levi smirked a little.

"I think he would be laughing at the both of us, I remember him saying that I would miss this once you stop getting Fevers and I could it bullshit at the time. Damn, I hate how he's always right" Levi grumbled, feeling Mikasa chuckle into his chest.

"At least we don't have to worry over watching him and Isabel look at each other with puppy love in their eyes but never making a move on the other" Mikasa smirked, her voice muffled into Levi shirt as he chuckled over the memory.

"God, they were hopeless" Levi joked a smirk on his lips as he remembered all the looks Furlan and Isabel shared thinking they were secret.
