Today was the day, by the end of the day all of them would officially become survey corps. The 104th celebration drinking was the day before yesterday making them all sobered up by now. They all stood through the three company speeches last night, leaving them to sleep on what they wanted to join and head to a certain meeting point by nine in the morning today. 

Mikasa, Armin and Eren reached the Survey Corps collecting point first, coming an hour early and just relaxing before they make the biggest choice in their life. Jean, Marco and Reiner coming around half eight in the morning surprising the other three but were welcomed anyway. Not long after came along Sasha and Connie making the rest a little less excited to deal with the idiots outside of the wall knowing a Titan would spit them out just to get rid of them. Than lastly, just before nine came along Ymir and Christa shocking the others even more. 

A horse and cart came along just ten minutes after the meeting time, collecting them all and leading them away towards the camp. All of them talking around and learning that in a single week they could chose to transfer to the Military police if they were in the top ten of 104th or transfer to the Garrison. Seems, all newbie soldiers got the change to transfer after a week in case they change their minds over the company they chose. 

"Hanji was right, you really returned" Moblit whispered in shock as he stood before new the cadets that were joining the Survey Corps. Hanji mentioned when she got back last from the SC speech with Erwin and Mike, saying she thought she saw Mikasa in the crowd but when she tried looking for her after the speech she came up empty handed. 

The small group just stared at the soldier confused, Armin glancing to Mikasa who shrugged, acting innocent. Moblit soon ran off, not turning back and heading to pass on the news over Mikasa actually being a soldier to Hanji and Mike who both wondered over it. 

"Well, that was weird" Reiner commented as he rocked on his feet a little.

"Yeah, was he the one who's meant to pass over our new jackets because I'm getting cold" Jean mumbled as the small group of sixteen and seventeen years olds all stood in their white trousers, boots and shirts but nothing else. No skirt, no straps and no jacket until they had to hand in their training jackets due to gaining their Survey corps one soon. 

The group arrived twenty minutes ago, being left in a small grass area by the main building and standing out like a sore thumb but not being in full uniform compared to every other soldier walking past. Sure, not all soldiers had their straps on, or wore a cape instead of the jacket but they all had the skirt on making them less bold white like the newbies were left as. 

They got told to wait, saying they'll be given a jacket and cape before given a tour along with the long speeches over how the camp runs and what the next week will hold for them. They'll be taken to their barracks where their personal bags should already be placed, along with another two sets of uniform for them to use. All solders got three pairs of trousers, three shirts, two skirts, a single set of straps, a single pair of boots, two capes and two jackets. It was simple but that's all they needed along with their personal set of clothes to wear on days off.

But it had been twenty minutes and why the sun did shine down on them, the air was a little chilly and standing in place for twenty minutes got you to shiver. Their shirts weren't thick either, why their white jeans were a bit thick, their short or long sleeve shirts were thin. Not see through completely but if wet or standing under the sun, they became a little see through.

"Should we ask a passing soldier?, maybe we went to the wrong spot or we were meant to meet the soldier elsewhere but wasn't told. We could have been led to the wrong area as well" Christa spoke up with a worried smile, holding her hand close to her chin as she glanced around unsure.

"No, we're in the right spot. Erwin likes eyeing up the newbies and the Captains do the same. They should be watching from a window If they haven't already" Mikasa thought to herself, turning to the building and looking at all the windows that Erwin normally watched from at some point. He enjoyed seeing how nervous the newbies might be or try to get a read on them before they go in soldier mode before him. It was a silent test. 

"I think we should stay still, we don't know the camp very well and won't want to get lost. It might make us look rather back if we're found wondering around after being told to wait here" Armin spoke up with a slight frown, the others nodding in agreement.

"I guess we'll just be stuck waiting for them to show up but if an hour passes, we're heading inside and asking someone" Marco sighed as he rubbed his arms a little, regretting in choosing a short sleeve shirt instead of a long sleeve one. 

"I hope they come soon, I'm getting hungry" Sasha whined as she rubbed her stomach, brightening up as Connie held up a potato for her to eat to keep her silent.

"You're always hungry" Ymir commented with a roll of her eyes.

"We look like idiots" Connie frowned as they all looked like white blobs compared to everyone in camp. 

"Yeah, I'm feeling like we're the new kids in school all over again" Eren agreed as he crossed his arms, his tunic sleeves coming up a little.

"Ah, there you all are!" Luke Cis called out with a friendly smile as he rushed over them all, dressed in most of his uniform but wearing his cape instead of his jacket. 

"Are you the one meant to baby us today?" Eren asked with a raised eyebrow making the older soldier chuckle. 

"Yes, sorry for being late but someone was meant to lead you the horse stables not here. It seems the one meant to collect you at the gates was sick today and someone covered for him not knowing about leading you to us instead of leaving you here like normal" Luke explained with a nervous smile, rubbing the back of his head slightly embarrassed. 

"I don't mean to sound rude but could we skip the greetings and be given our jackets, it's gotten cold" Marco asked a little embarrassed since he wasn't sound very soldier like but he was froze. 

"Ah right, sure. Everything by the stables .. clean and safe but by the stables since that's where we were expecting you. I'll take you over now, give your jackets over before we start the speeches and rules. Than you'll receive your capes last. We'll pass them over just before we dismiss you for the day" Luke explains as he nods for them to start following him as he started to walk.

"Well, how do you feel?" Armin asked with a sweet smile as he turned his head to Mikasa. This was somewhere special for Mikasa and wondering if she was nervous, overjoyed or what. 

"I think I still feel my hang over" Eren groaned, answering instead of Mikasa making Armin frown.

"Yeah, I don't know if I should be happy that I got drunk enough to wake up without any memory or If I should be worried" Jean moaned as he rubbed his temple remembering over the awful hang over he had yesterday. 

"If I'm honest, most of the drinking was a blur but I'm sure we had fun" Connie answered with a shrug as the other's nodded a little.

"But I vote we don't go drinking any time soon, I still don't know how I ended up sleeping in that café .. it was locked up" Reiner mumbled with a worried frown over the memory.

"Yeah, I woke up in a butchers shop. I mean, I loved the scent of meat but waking up with a pig heads in my arm wasn't as nice" Sasha admitted before nibbling on her potato again.

"We did wonder why you were so freaked out over meat yesterday but now that makes sense" Christa muttered under her breath, wondering just how her classmates and friends ended up in strange places. She was rather glad that she headed back to the barracks once she started getting tipsy.

"All I know is that I woke up in a whore shop but the view will never please me more than you" Ymir sighed, placing her arm around Christa who wasn't sure if she should take that as a compliment or not.

"Seems like you lot knew how to go wild" Luke laughed from the front, he knew new recruits tent to celebrate or panic after passing training but he's never heard as many strange stories as he just did from one group. 

"Will we get to meet any captains?, my friend is a fan over them" Mikasa asked as she walked a little quicker, blaming her question on Eren and making it look like he was a complete and total fan .. he was but it was helping her for now.

"It's not planned, you might see them walk past but they won't be coming for a visit. You're all regular soldiers now, they'll only find you If they need to pass on orders" Luke answered with a shrug making Mikasa give a slight nod. 

They all soon reached the stables, meeting with Dieter Ness who would mostly be looking after them all along with Luke. These two would become their teachers and help them get use to the ropes. Teaching them to use the horses, to train them into killing titans and how the Survey Corps would work. Class's would be a single hour each day for the first month and it would help teach them all the different smoke signals, the types of orders and any other basic information needed. They'll also learn over Titans more but that would be taught by Captain Hanji herself once a week for a single hour. 

They were given a tour, showed all the training areas and different buildings. Learning the basic rules and how their life would be lived in the camp. Along with how life worked if you moved out of the camp and understanding that you'll be expected to still arrive on the camp by a certain time for your duties or be stuck hanging around on the camp somewhere just in case new orders are given out. 

They'll be taught expeditions in their classes and explained with a map over different positions and how they'll be made to work. Along with being taught to remember certain points of the map as meet up points if a retreat was ever called. Each area of the map holding it's own meet up point and any survivors would ride to it within thirty minutes before heading towards a bigger point to round up all surviving soldiers before heading back inside the walls. 

They got given their barracks, girls in one and boys in another. They were the only ones inside, apparently they were lucky enough to start filling the new barracks up meaning they got to chose any of the bunk beds they wanted and they won't get any roommates until other newbie soldiers joined up. 

Given a small amount of time to grab their personal stuff and spare uniforms laid out to them before placing them away in their beds area. Mikasa froze outside the door as the other girls stepped inside first. Biting her lip as this was the same barracks that Isabel once used with other female soldiers four years ago. She wondered if all the other female soldiers were dead as well or moved to fill another barrack. 

Mikasa held her breath as she stepped inside, staring at the first bunk bed close to the door. The top bed would have been Isabel. She took the bed closest to the door, wanting to be able to rush out and meet up with Levi and Furlan as soon as sleeping was done. 

Mikasa looked away, walking round and heading towards the bunk bed in the far left corner. Glancing out the window and taking notice that she could see the window that use to be beside Levi and Furlan bunk bed. Memories flashing through her mind before she placed her things on the lower bunk. She'll make this her bed for now.

"Can we share?" Sasha shyly asked beside her making Mikasa jump a little.

"You want to share?" Mikasa asked unsure, there was only four of them and they could take any of the bunk beds. They weren't crammed in and stuck to randomly bunk with someone who had a free bed.

"Yeah, I want to share with a friend. I knew it's just us four but at one point we'll have other soldiers move in, either younger or older once they join up and I don't want to be stuck with a random person as my bunk buddy. I'll take the top bunk, I like the top bed anyway and well .. Christa and Ymir paired up behind us" Sasha explained with a small smile, playing with her pony tail why she spoke before nodding to Christa and Ymir who took the bunk on the other side of the window and claiming it.

"It's a little big for just us four, feels a little lonely if we separate. Hope you don't mind if we claim this corner as our own, this could be 104th girls corner only" Christa shyly smiled as she stood by the ladder, her and Ymir stuff on the lower bed ready to be placed away.

"It's fine, I guess it would be awkward if we suddenly had to share with someone else after all of us being stuck together for three years" Mikasa replied, she would much rather have Sasha sleep above her than a stranger who she'll have to learn to get use to. 

"That's the spirit, now let's get our stuff away and meet up with the guys" Ymir smirked, stretching as the others nodded.

They weren't fully done just yet, Dieter wanted to show them the storage building that held spare uniforms and held the Odm hear along with the gas tanks. We had Odm gear training in the morning and would need to be able to grab our equipment without having to be shown around making him show them today instead. 

After, Luke would pass on their capes and let them have the rest of the day to walk around and get use to the camp. Maybe make friends with other soldiers and be given tips over how to be a soldier within the Survey corps. 

They all rushed out once they were done, Mikasa glancing over her shoulder towards the old barracks. A memory flashing over her mind as she use to watch Furlan, Levi and Isabel walk out to training, she standing by the window watching them go. 

Shaking her mind as she knew she couldn't keep living in the past, she had her future to worry over now and she was ready to take her own path. 

"Not placing your cape on?" Luke asked as he noticed Mikasa was the only one to not put her cape on, the other's doing it as soon as it was given to them and spinning around or standing proud with it on. 

"It's brand new?" Mikasa commented rather disappointed. She expected her spare cape to be new but she was hoping that a four year old cape would be slipped into her hands in secret. 

"Yes, everyone get's a new cape. We keep the old ones from the dead as spares if someone needs a new cape or loses their one. But new soldiers get a new one to start off with, your spares will be given to you in your rooms after dinner. Is something wrong?" Luke replied with a friendly smile, a little worry in his eyes over the cape being damaged or something.

"Nah, it's new" Mikasa muttered as she looked to her cape, not feeling as excited as she did when Furlan gave her his spare cape.

"Okay?" Luke awkwardly smiled, not sure what to say or do to deal with this. 

"She's fine. She's just use to hand me downs" Armin lined with a forced smile, hopping up beside Mikasa and placing a hand on her arm to help move on from the awkward moment. 

"Well, you're all dismissed for today. Go adventure around the camp, just try not to make trouble and remember Dieter will be meeting you by the training woods at ten tomorrow morning. You've got a bit of a lay in but remember breakfast is open between half six and half eight in the morning, don't miss it because you might miss lunch. We want to test all your skills tomorrow and we will train through lunch to get all done tomorrow" Luke reminded everyone as he stood with his hands on his hips, looking the group over and giving a happy nod once he was sure they all understood. Luke walked around without another word, heading into the building nearby.

"We're thinking of going to the training areas, take a look around. It seems all the soldiers have at least a single day of training once a week to keep them fit and ready to face titans. We're going to have a look over their skill set. Anyone want to join?" Reiner was the first to speak, pointing to himself before nodding to Jean and Marco to show what he meant by we. 

"We'll also try and seat what's best to wear when we're called for training. When to wear our straps, when to wear our jacket or cape or both. We're going to take notice over how the soldiers are dressed for different parts of training" Marco added as he wasn't worried over the type of training since no matter how much they knew over it, they'll still have to do it and slowly get use to the harsh training eventually. He was more worried over finding an easier way to dress to help with each area of training and how it might help stop them from overheating, freezing or gaining strap burns.

"We were actually going to wonder around and try spotting some Captains" Connie replied with a shrug as he looked to Reiner.

"And find out the menu style" Sasha added with a huge grin making the other's not surprised over that being the first thing she checks over.

"Me and Ymir were thinking over heading back to the barracks. We wanted to get some more rest before all our training for the rest of the week. We know once it comes Friday and we have the weekend to decide over transferring, we'll all be tried. But we know if we stay, the training and hard work will only increase. Today might be the only free time to really rest our bodies and we're taking it" Christa mumbled back with a small smile as she still felt a little tired over the hours worth of traveling to the camp along with all the standing around today. 

"Would want of you come get us if we're not out by dinner tonight?" Ymir asked, mostly turning to Mikasa and Armin knowing they'll be nice enough to get them.

"Sure. We were thinking of just walking around for the rest of the day. We'll come get you after we place our capes back in the barracks before we head over to the dinning room" Armin answered with a friendly smile and Ymir gave a slight nod. 

"Do you mind placing my cape on my bed, I'm going to stick with my jacket for now" Mikasa asked as she held out her still folded cape.

"Are you sure you don't want to try it on, enjoy the wow feeling" Christa asked unsure, not wanting Mikasa to miss out on the magical feeling of putting it on. 

Mikasa just shook her head before Ymir to the cape, giving a nod over taking back to the barracks for her and Mikasa gave a thankful nod before turning back to Armin and Eren.

"Let's go!" Eren cheered, throwing his hands in the air.
