Mikasa stood in trouble, she had three soldiers turn round and saw her. One female and two males. The female was asking if she was the daughter of a captain or something while one of the males grabbed Mikasa arm. The last one asking if she was playing hide and seek, treating her as the child she looked to be while Mikasa frowned.

She tried getting out of the male hold, she was trying to hide and keep a down low but these three were making everyone around turn to her. She'll be spotted by the wiredo who kidnapped her earlier, he'll clearly check to see what all the disturbance was if she was near by.

"Let me go!" Mikasa yelled, trying to pull away from the guy grip and kicking at his shin making him help in pain as she stumbled back. 

"Yikes, she couldn't have kicked that hard man" The female sighed as she looked to her friend on the ground who held his leg in pain, rubbing at his sour shin where Mikasa kicked. 

"Yeesh, she can't be human for kicking so hard" The guy replied, sitting up and leaving a hand over his shin. 

"How can a kid like her even be in the base, this is just unfair. Why do captains or higher ups get to bend the rules but I can't even get a day off more than once a month" The other male grumbled, grabbing at Mikasa arm and yanking her forward. 

"DON'T YOU TOUCH HER!"

Mikasa froze as the voice filled the air, her eyes growing wide as the guy who held her arm in a tight grip soon went crashing down after a fist met with his cheek. Mikasa turned as Furlan stood furious, a murderous rage in her eyes as he looked to the guy. 

"F-Furlan, I'm okay .. I'm all right. He didn't do anything by grab my arm and vent out his anger. It's fine" Mikasa quickly spoke, stepping forward and grabbing at Furlan arm, pulling on it to make him turn to him.

"Mikasa! Are you okay, did he hurt you .. did they do anything. Oh man, why are you out. Did something happen?" Furlan asked like a worried mother, turning to Mikasa and kneeling down before her. Taking Mikasa hands in his own and giving them a worried but comforting squeeze.

"Nothing happened, I was just hiding in the crowd after some big sniffing weirdo kidnapped me and I escaped. The only injury I got was when he slammed a door on my head" Mikasa answered as Furlan stared at her horrified. 

"WHAT!" Furlan cried out, pulling Mikasa into a tight hug and letting a small breath of relief out over her being safe for now. 

"Shouldn't you be with Levi, why aren't you in the woods?" Mikasa asked as she broke from the hug, tilting her head to the side as Furlan kept his hands on her shoulders. 

"I was heading back to check on you, I noticed the guy grabbing you and rushed over. Come on, let's find Levi and tell him what happened. Are you sure you're okay? You're not lying to me, right?" Furlan sighed, worry written all over his face as he looked to her.

"I'm fine but I won't be if we see Levi" Mikasa answered, glancing to her socks that were no longer pure white and covered in mud and sand. 

"Come on, I'll carry you until we find him. I'm sure he'll be more worried over you than the state of your socks .. well, maybe just don't move much to show the state of your socks" Furlan replied, nodding for her to jump on his back and let her carry him. 

"We both know he'll complain over my socks before anything else" Mikasa grumbled back before hopping on Furlan back, placing her arms around his neck as he started to stand up. 

"Well, when being kidnapped you don't always have time to grab shoes" Furlan joked and started walking, Mikasa leaning her chin on his shoulder.

"Do you know who the weirdo is, the one who sniffs a lot. He just came straight into the barracks without warning and headed straight to the bed like he could sniff me out. He knew where I was and than he just grabbed me without much warning. He didn't even speak a word as he carried me to an office" Mikasa asked,  tapping her feet in the hair as Furlan hooked her ankles over his arms. 

"I have a feeling you're talking over Captain Mike, he's a bit strange. He barely talks and has a good nose but I don't think he can just sniff someone out like that. He had to know that you were in our barracks" Furlan explained as he walked, turning his head a little to glance at Mikasa who pouted a little.

"He's a jerk" Mikasa muttered making Furlan chuckle.

"Yeah, I don't like him much either and Levi got a bit of grudge against him as well" Furlan admitted, a silly smile on his lips while Mikasa just looked at the surroundings.

"Sorry for getting caught, will this make trouble for the job. I didn't mean to mess anything up, I shouldn't have came" Mikasa sighed, lowing her eyes in shame and guilt for messing it all up.

"You've done nothing wrong, you followed your orders just like we have. You waited a whole week before looking for us. You stayed hidden on Levi bed and we just didn't give the survey corps enough credit over their skills. We should have played it more safe and that's our fight, we've been here way longer that you have and should take notice over how things work. Don't blame yourself and even if they decide to keep us on a leash, that will only give her a better chance at completing the job. So, don't you ever blame yourself over this" Furlan replied sternly, his eyes honest and serious as he didn't want Mikasa to ever hate herself.

"I won't blame myself, sorry for being an idiot for a minute there" Mikasa mumbled back embarrassed making Furlan smile. 

"Well, I have a surprise for you" Furlan soon grinned, bouncing his steps a little making Mikasa pop up and down a little on his back.

"What?" Mikasa asked, wiggling her chin on his shoulder as he laughed.

"Well, I really hate the survey corps capes .. they get in the way if you ask me. But, we're all give two, one to use outside the wall and one for inside the walls to try and make them last a little but I won't ever use one inside the walls and just one of the two. Want to have my spare as your own, could be your souvenirs from the camp" Furlan smiled cheekily, a skip in his step as he told Mikasa the news. He planned to just steal the cape once they completed the job and returned home but now Mikasa was with them, he'll just give it to her.

"Really!" Mikasa asked, her face made have seemed emotionless but Furlan could read as he could read Levi and knew she was excited.

"Yep" Furlan answered, popping the P and feeling Mikasa wiggle her feet a little.

"I stole a soldier cape when I was running but yours will be much cooler" Mikasa commented, tightening her grip and semi hugging Furlan while he gave her a piggy back.

"You stole a cape from a soldier?" Furlan asked with worry, looking over his shoulder to see her. 

"Don't worry, it's left in the crowd somewhere now" Mikasa replied with a shrug and Furlan gave a nervous smile.

"I do feel bad for the soldier, I did hit him rather hard when stealing his cape for cover" Mikasa muttered in a small voice while Furlan just hummed along not sure how to handle this. 

Furlan walked towards the woods, stopping by the barracks first as they would have to pass it to head to the next open area that held the path to the woods. Furlan standing guard as Mikasa changed her shocks before placing her shoes on. Planning to grab her shawl but stopped as Furlan wrapped round his spare cape, keeping his word over her being able to keep it. Plus, using the hood to hide her face might be a good idea during the rest of the walk to Levi. 

Furlan holding Mikasa hand, ready to pull her along if they needed to run or if someone came along to make trouble over Mikasa being here. Furlan decided to break the silent, talking about the training and the horses. Letting Mikasa learn some facts over the survey corps camp and training methods. Mikasa silently listening to every word he spoke and neither really noticing how far they got walking along the path to the woods. 

Not until they reached the edge of the woods where Hanji and Moblit stood along with Flagon, all three of them talking as they waited for Isabel and Levi to finish their rounds in the woods and for other soldiers to report their hits on the wooden titans. 

"Oh! You're back, we were starting to get worri-" Hanji started to say with a huge smile, turning as she heard footsteps behind and noticed Furlan before taking notice of Mikasa and falling silent. 

"Sorry for taking my time, Is Levi almost finished his round in the woods?" Furlan asked as he came to a stop before the three, staying holding Mikasa hand. 

"What the hell is a child doing here!" Flagon yelled, pointing a finger straight towards Mikasa making Furlan step before her a little in a protecting manner. 

"Don't yell, we don't wish to scare the little girl" Moblit replied with a frown, stepping forward and placing a hand on Flagon shoulder. 

"I'm not scared, If I couldn't handle yelling than I wouldn't have been able to share a room with Isabel" Mikasa argued back making Furlan give a weak laugh. 

"Hello, I'm Hanji. What's your name? Is Levi your brother?" Hanji asked with a friendly smile, stepping forward and placing her hands on her knees as she leaned down a little.

"He's an asshole not my brother" Mikasa answered with ease, Flagon and Moblit choking on air why Hanji burst out laughing over the reply. Furlan fighting his amused grin and failing making him turn his head away. 

"What will happen to her?, we won't let her be taken away. She belongs with us and we won't let her be dumped somewhere" Furlan spoke up, his grip tightening on Mikasa hand a little as he spoke. 

"Mikasa?" Levi voice got through the air making them all turn and watch as he started to land, Isabel landing to his right.

"MIKASA!" Isabel cheered and ran straight towards the young girl, Mikasa stepped to the side, pulling Furlan by his arm and letting him become the victim to Isabel jumping hug. Levi rushing over, looking Mikasa over while Furlan groaned in pain over the rough landing from Isabel forcefully hug attack. 

"You got to learn to NOT do that" Furlan huffed out as he pushed himself to sit up, shoving Isabel off him before rubbing the back of his neck.

"Did something happen?" Levi whispered, placing a hand on Mikasa shoulder and making her turn around from her two friends to look at him instead.

"I got caught" Mikasa reported, lowing her head a little and Levi just stared at her.

"As long as your still with us, that's all that matters" Levi answered, removing his hand from her shoulder before turning towards Hanji and Moblit. 

"So, who is the girl. She's not meant to be here?" Moblit spoke as calmly as he could, he was still uneasy around the three that Erwin hired. He stayed close to Hanji and tried to treat them as any other soldier but his unsureness over the three was clear to see.

"Mikasa, she's with us. That's all YOU need to know" Levi answered coldly, crossing his arms over his chest and looking to Flagon who was ready to snap back. 

"Well, we're going to need to find Mikasa a place to sleep. She needs her own bed if she's going to be one of us but maybe we should pin up that cape a little. Don't want you tripping over, right mikasa" Hanji grinned, placing her hands on her hips and giving Mikasa friendly wink.

"My cape fins as it is" Mikasa answered stubbornly, crossing her arms over her stomach and almost looking like a mini female Levi. Furlan and Isabel standing up and stepping closer to Mikasa and Levi. 

"Hang on, you're just going to okay this. Shouldn't you be disagreeing or something?" Furlan asked unsure, a puzzled eyebrow raised. 

"Why should I care, I'm not the commander of this place and well, it seems fine in my eyes. You three clearly won't just let her go after all" Hanji replied, giving an uncaring shrug while Moblit lowered his head in defeat. 

"Hanji .. please. We can't make anymore trouble for the commander" Moblit whined, looking to Hanji pleadingly. 

"We're not keeping the kid around, this is a base for solders not a playground" Flagon huffed out, stepping forward before placing his hands on his hips and glaring towards Mikasa a little.

"Could have fooled me if they entertained dicks like you here" Mikasa scoffed back, glaring back at Flagon who stumbled back in shock. 

"Mikasa" Furlan sighed, rubbed the side of his neck as he glanced to her.

"Prove me wrong" Mikasa grumbled back, turning her head away from Furlan disapproving gaze.

"Isn't she just the cutest" Isabel smiled brightly, pinching at Mikasa cheek.

"She took down one of my soldiers, I won't call her that cute but dangerous" Erwin voice broke through all the silence making everyone tense a little before turning to where Erwin stood at the end of the path that joint to where they stood. Mike a single step behind him and sniffing the air a little.

"It's the creepy weirdo who kidnapped me" Mikasa hissed, pointing an accusing finger at Mike as Furlan nodded.

"Yep, that's Mike" Furlan admitted as he had a feeling it was him but Mikasa pointing him out proved it.

"Kidnapped?" Levi growled a little, stepping in front of Mikasa protectively.

"What did you do to our little sister" Isabel yelled, rage in her eyes. 

"A soldier overheard Hanji speaking with Moblit last night over a child being kept here, I sent Mike to check it over. I had a feeling if the child was apart of your group, you'll keep her close but safe. Guess I was correct" Erwin answered making Hanji and Moblit guilty lowering their heads, they were the reason Mikasa got found out. 

"You knew?" Furlan asked in shock, looking over his shoulder towards the two who gave small nods.

"Well, Hanji told me before bed. I just chose to wipe my memory over the information" Moblit answered as he ran a hand through his hair.

"My bad, I didn't think anyone was around while Moblit was dragging me back to my room to sleep instead of staying up researching titans all night .. again" Hanji replied with an apologizing smile. 

"You weren't going to rat us out?" Isabel mumbled back surprised, Hanji giving a small smile before nodding. 

"I saw something I shouldn't have and well, just look at Mikasa. She's going to make a wonderful extra in my collection of people to experiment on. I just can't wait to see what she brings!" Hanji spoke excitedly, clapping her hands together and jumping on the spot a little why her eyes shined. 

Mikasa and Levi just stared at her for a bit, Moblit giving them both a sorry look before turning to try and calm Hanji down. Flagon taking a step away from the crazy women and Levi shuffled Mikasa a little closer to him while keeping himself protectively in front of her. 

"Are all the soldiers in the Survey corps creeps?" Mikasa whispered with a raised eyebrow, glancing to Levi who gave a small nod as it was looking that way.

"Hand her over, I give my word that we'll place her in one of the best Orphanage the walls have to offer. She'll be given a much better life than you could ever give her. She might even be given to a wealthily family, give a better life" Erwin offered, stepping forward and standing tall as he looked straight to Levi.  

"Tsk, I know what her future will hold if she's thrown out to the streets. Just as much as I know that the wealth would do anything to have their hands on her. I won't allow it, she's not leaving from my sights" Levi snapped back, glaring at Erwin. 

"This isn't a friendly offer, it's an order. Hand her over, she's no soldier and she has no link to me meaning I have no reason to let her wonder my base freely. She's being sent away, you can chose to at least give her a chance to live somewhere nice or have her left on the streets" Erwin shot back, a stern and warning look in his eyes. 

"If Mikasa doesn't stay, we don't stay either. Without her, you don't have us" Levi gave his answer, his voice loud and clear and his eyes told anyone that he won't just let them take Mikasa without one hell of a fight. 

Erwin stayed silent, just staring at Levi and knowing the man wasn't kidding making him frown. His eyes finally landing on Mikasa who met his gaze with her own cold glare, catching the Erwin interest over her bravery to try and glare him down.

"I won't be a slacker, I can hold my own and my loyalty stays with Levi and Furlan. I won't ever betray them and while they're stuck here, so am I" Mikasa spoke up, standing beside Levi and making the cape fly up from her quick moment while her eyes stayed completely serious.

"You? What could you give us to keep your worth in our camp?" Erwin asked with a raised eyebrow, Levi cursing under his breath over the commander attitude.

"I could easily slip poison in your meal and watch you slowly die, you'll never know" Mikasa answered innocently as Isabel and Furlan grinned.

"I'm also only a child still, yet, I found out where your camp is and made my way here without you ever knowing. How would that look in the eyes of the public, a group of soldiers who boast about killing titans yet got out beat by a little girl. Won't give you much respect by the people and the people are who you need most" Mikasa threated with ease, letting her arms drop to her side as she gave an unbothered look over her threat why Levi eyes shined amused and a little proud.

"And the people would believe you over the hero's known as the Survey Corps" Flagon shot back, not believing Mikasa threat. 

"Want to find out?" Mikasa asked coldly, glancing over her shoulder towards Flagon who froze up a little.

"Like I said, she's with us. If you want us than you'll let Mikasa stay around, if not, we're gone" Levi spoke, staring straight at Erwin who was thinking everything over, taking in the risks at state. 

"Sometimes all it takes is one voice to change the world, I'm not scared to be that voice" Mikasa added on and Erwin looked to her before sighing. 

"She stays but she's not allowed to be alone for a singe moment, I'll be placing a soldier to watch over her whenever she's not in the barracks and she'll be expected to eat when you three do to prove she's not wondering around" Erwin replied, looking at Levi before turning away and walking off without another word spoken.
