Chapter 4: Marry Me

Vienna...

They changed my name from Lucy to Vienna when I became a De La Cerna.

Ate Rosie's right. I can say no and I can tell my grandma that I don't want to marry that jerk Maverick. And like my sister I can also choose for myself. Because that's my right.

Na nakuha ko lahat kay Mama pati ang facial features ko. My face is small with my small cute nose as well, and a little pouty pink lips, then a bit bigger and expressive eyes...

I just hope that it's also to the liking of this man in front of me now.

"Harrison..." pag-uulit ko lang sa sinabi niya.

And when I realized that my question sounded so naive, iniba ko na agad ang tanong ko sa kaniya. "Do you want me?" I asked him instead.

Then I looked at him. And I saw that his lips parted as he looked at me, too. Sobrang lakas at bilis naman ng pintig ng puso ko. Hindi ako pwedeng pumalya kasi ito lang ang nakikita kong paraan at pagkakataon para sa'kin ngayon. Or else I'll end up marrying that jerk Maverick. And I don't want to! Hindi ko nga alam kung ano ang mangyayari sa akin pagkatapos kung magpapakasal ako sa manyak na 'yon.

Although, mukhang hindi rin naman sila nagkakaiba ng lalaking ito sa harapan ko ngayon. Tsk.

"Vienna..." he called my name slowly. "Are you being serious right now..." Parang hindi pa siya makapaniwala sa sinabi ko.

At maagap naman akong tumango sa tanong niya sa'kin kung seryoso raw ba ako ngayon.

And he only looked at me...

Alam ko na mahirap paniwalaan agad. Ngayon nga lang kami nag-usap. Tapos nag-propose na ako agad ng kasal sa kaniya. But it's the only point of this talk. Ito ang goal ko rito. Ang pakasalan niya ako. Kaya... magpapaligoy-ligoy pa ba ako? I didn't want to waste time... I also didn't want to waste his time. Lalo na siya kasi busy siya na businessman, 'di ba?
