Bellamy's POV
"Shit," I muttered when my head spun a little. I turned around and looked at the house, more specially at Jane's window.
"Why the fuck did I leave?" I muttered to myself.
I couldn't go back inside now. The damage was done. I screwed up.
I should've sat on the curb and downed in my sorrows but I remembered I had some business. Fuck, now I'd always have some job to do. I sighed and called Kyle. He said he'd be here in ten minutes.
So I ended up sitting on the curb after all. I pulled out a cigarette from my jacket and lit it up. I took a drag and felt just a tad bit okay.
When I put my lighter back inside my pocket I felt a paper against my hand. The shit that got me into a fight with my girl.
I should've known better than to snoop around, then again I was just trying find the real Jane. The girl she was before her life turned upside down.
I found myself unfolding the paper and my eyes immediately found the word bipolar. Her dad had mention she had a bipolar disorder since long. My heart ached for her, more than the fucking headache I had because of the fever.
I threw my jacket off and welcomed the cold air that blew against my skin.
I certainly was invading her parents privacy by that the letter but I only did it because I read Jane's name on it and then something else caught my attention in that letter. Her dad mentioned that he was threatened a few times for his wealth. Someone wanted their money and he was set to move to New York with Jane once she graduated high school. But he wasn't going to live that long to make sure she was safe. And her somewhat careless mother probably didn't even bother to consider this.
I ran a hand over my face in exasperation. I hadn't sleep in a week and I knew I couldn't without Jane. I had to make it up to her.
I stared at the paper blankly for while and then a thought occurred to me. Trace could be linked to the person her dad was talking about. Fuck, it made so much more sense.
My mind went back to four days ago when I encountered Trace when I was out checking on a deal for my father. I didn't know who he was until he introduced himself. The bastard was taking some goods from the same guy who had to deliver ours. One thing I was certain about was that he didn't belong in high school. The guy was clearly too old for it, so was he there to keep an eye on her?
I fished out my lighter again and stared at the burning flame before bringing iy to the edge of the letter that was in my other hand. As I watched it turn to ashes,I knew it was the right thing to do. Jane didn't need to read this.
I stood up when I heard a car slowly coming my way. I stepped on my third cigarette and the door of his car.
"Hey," I greeted him as I got comfortable on the passenger seat. He nodded his head in greeting but raised his eyebrows when he looked at me.
"You look like shit," He told me.
I chuckled and shrugged my shoulders. "I'm involved in a lot of shit too. Shouldn't surprise you."
He nodded his head and drove off. I didn't need to ask him where because I knew he was taking me to a small gang in our town that were meddling with some of our business.
"Is it true you're a part of your father's gang now?" He casually asked.
"Wasn't it official after my first kill?"
"You haven't even touched the surface yet." He told me. "You're in deep when you lose count of the times you've killed and even deeper when you don't need a gun to kill. My fucking bare hands are a weapon good enough to kill with." He said.
His dark humor never seemed to bother me. He said it's what helps him get by. For him and the world he lives in, this was normal.
If I was the town bad boy then Kyle sure did live up to his gang leader title. His dad ruled the city while he controlled the mafia in town. It was something that was given to him. Something he was born to do, at least according to his father.
"Thanks for telling me that. Let's see which stage I'm at when I leave." I said.
He laughed bitterly. "Don't you know Bellamy? There's no turning back. Once you're in, it's forever. Just hope that she's worth it." He said.
I raised my brow at him. "How do you know it's for a girl?"
"Isn't it always? Did your father threaten to kill her?" he asked.
"Someone else." I told him.
"I'm going to be honest with you, man. Leave while you still have the chance. You'll save the girl but you can't save yourself from the consequences of being involved."
"I know what I'm fucking doing, Kyle. Now tell me you got the information I asked for."
"Calm down," He said. I pressed my lips into into a straight line in an attempt to control my anger. "According to the information you gave me, Trace lost a lot of money in a failed drug trade. The entire plan was ridiculous if you asked me. Leon has been acting as his right hand man after Trace shot the other one dead. He probably proposed the idea of using your girl as bait to get you." He said.
I shook my head. "That's not it. I met Trace just a couple of days ago and he didn't recognize me so there's no way he could've connected me with my father."
"So what are you thinking then?" He asked.
"I'm thinking he wants Jane for her money." I said as I swallowed a lump in my throat.
"That and she could help with his side business too. She could lure in more chicks." He said.
My eyebrows shot up, "What?" I blurted out. I should've killed that asshole when I had the chance.
This game was far more dirty than I thought it would be but I was living to risk everything for my girl. Now I just had to figure out a way around his. I had to defeat Trace if I wanted anything to be normal.
Despite the perfect lie I fed my mom, I was still interrogated by her when I reached home. The shit in downtown me and Kyle just dealt with was nothing compared to the fury of my mother.
I sighed for the millionth and now I was truly fed up with the woman. I simply brushed past her and entered my room. I knocked down I few things hoping it would lessen my anger but nothing worked. I lit up another cigarette and I shuffled through random things in my room until I found a decent shirt to wear.
I took yet another shower hoping it would calm me down but nothing really helped. Nothing but the way Jane weaved her fingers through my hair or the way she planted fragile kisses on my face. She was my therapeutic drug. She was everything I needed and more.
I ended up taking a cold shower.
When I came downstairs, mom called me into the kitchen.
"What is it, ma?" I asked as I entered.
"Why were you staying at Blake's house last night? You can't do this Bel. If you really care for her, you should protect her." She said.
"What are you talking about mom?" I asked. I clearly remember telling her that I would be back by Sunday afternoon. And what the fuck did she mean by protect?
"I mean that if she falls pregnant then you can kiss your relationship goodbye." She said sternly.
I ran a hand over my face. "We're not having sex." I told her as bluntly as she told me. "Your future daughter-in-law won't allow it."
I didn't realize my slip up until I saw the smile on my mom's face. Did I just?
"Oh my goodness!" She gasped and covered her mouth with her hand. "Going to church finally paid off!"
I stared at my mother in shock. "I'm going out before you start creeping me out even more." I said and slowly backed away from the kitchen.
"Oh wait! Blake said you had a fever. You're not leaving the house Bellamy." She said.
Of course my girlfriend would do that. She was ten times more emotional on her period. Now I definitely had to see her.
"I'm okay mom. I took a few medicines last night and I'm just going to back to Jane's. I'll see you later." I said hurriedly as I grabbed my car keys and ran to my car.
I made a pit stop to the grocery store and bought a few things that would come in handy. Mostly just chocolates and tampons and a few movies. I picked up a bouquet of white roses from the flower shop and rushed to Jane's house.
I parked in the street so I could think everything through. I know I fucked up when I tried to bring up her past. I don't know why I thought it was a good idea. Then again, when do I ever think properly when I'm with her.
I took out one of the caramel toffees from the plastic bag and popped it into my mouth. I had to be as tempting as I could to get her attention before I start to apologize for walking out on her.
I went straight to her room when Brianna let me inside.
Jane sat on the edge of her bed, dangling her good leg.
"Hey," I said as I crept closer to her.
"Leave," Came her reply. Her voice sounded shaky even though she only spoke a word. I wanted to punch myself in the face for making her like this.
So I tried again. I aced everything on the side and fit on my knees as I presented her the bouquet. Her gaze remained on the flowers and I could tell she was debating whether or not to take them but she obviously picked the third option.
I fell back as her foot unexpectedly collided with my stomach. I groaned but caught her leg in my hands. "I'm sorry."
"No,"
"Sorry,"
"No!"
The cycle went on until she finally changed her answer. Did I mention how close I was to her? I lifted her chin in my hands and stared into her gorgeous blue eyes. She wasn't wearing her contacts and her glasses were resting beside her. "What did you say?" I asked her softly.
"I said it's okay. Now leave." She responded.
I clicked my tongue and put her glasses on for her. I smiled as they rested on my bridge of her nose.
Then I walked back to the plastic bag and threw it's contents on the floor. I took the muffins and bottle of caramel syrup.
"How good do you think they would taste if we combine the two?" I asked her. She turned towards me curiously and pushed her glasses up. Damn, was she cute and also giving me a boner. I sighed when she didn't reply.
"I wonder how this baby tastes." I said as I opened the bottle of syrup and examined it.
Jane huffed out a breath. "Can you leave? I don't want to talk to you right now. You invaded my privacy and then you walked out on me. I'm not in the mood to deal with someone at inconsiderate as you."
"Baby girl," I breathed out. "I'm sorry, I did it for you. I know I snooped around but it was only because I was curious. You barely talk about your dad and you don't talk about anything from your past. You can't blame me for trying to crack your shell." I argued.
"Bellamy, I get where you're coming from bit you can't just do that. I need time okay. There's so much to adjust to and I can't do it all at once. You can't just throw shit at me." She said in exasperation.
"I understand and I'm truly sorry. Forgive me?" I begged as I got down on my knees I'm front of her.
She breathed out and her posture slouched. Leaned towards her until my lips pressed against her. Sometimes kissing was the only therapy we needed but right now my dick wanted more. Lots more and it sucked how she was on her period.
When our lips parted, Jane had a faint smile playing on her face and I couldn't help but peck her lips another time. Just to reassure the both of us.
"Why do you have a boner?" She blurted out.
I gave her a tight smile and adjusted my pants but it didn't help at all. In fact, I stripped out of it and my shirt until I was just in my boxers. Jane was blushing immensely and I grinned at her from ear to ear. "Can you not do that when I'm on my period?"
"Trust me, I'm trying." I told her. "But I also thought of a way to seduce you." I couldn't help but smirk.
"Are you always this horny when you have a fever?" She asked innocently.
I laughed and shrugged my shoulders. "I showered and I haven't sweat yet so it's totally okay to do what you will want to do." I said.
Then I opened the caramel syrup bottle and stood up. I squirted some in my mouth and purposely moaned. I tell she rolled her eyes at me but this was just the beginning. Once I swallowed, I poured the syrup on my chest, letting it drip down my chest.
Jane gasped and watched the syrup drip with her jaw dropped on the floor. "Fucking crazy. And hot, so hot." she mumbled.
I puffed my chest outwards and did my best superman impression, the one with my hands on my hips.
"I don't want this on my boxers, baby girl." I told her when he idly sat in her spot and stared at me.
"What do you want me to do?" She asked, still in a daze.
"Wipe it off, of course." I smiled. "With that incredible tongue of yours." I added with a wink.
She blinked thrice times before she latched onto me. Her tongue licking the syrup off of me. She occasionally peppered kisses and I I'm it was the best idea I ever had. She reached upwards and grabbed my shoulders before pushing herself up on one foot to get everything off of me. I immediately wrapped my arms around her to give her more support. Lowering one of my hands to her cute ass which I spanked. She momentarily glared at me before kissing me again.
"All done," She said breathlessly. I, myself started to kiss her shoulder or whatever skin that I came in contact with. She was my drug.
"You got some on your shirt. We'll need to remove that." I said mindlessly and quickly pulled it off before she could tell I lied. Bit she knew I lied because of the look on her face.
I pecked her lips and gently placed her on the bed before I climbed on top of her and kissed her everywhere I wished.
"I think..." She said between moans. "That I, uh, fever. I have it." She finished.
I sheepishly smiled at her before returning to my mission.
The rest of the day went in a blur as I hid around her house when her mom came home. The fever took a toll of both of us and we were restless in the morning. After tricking our mothers, we managed to make it school by lunch time.
I tugged Jane as close to my chest as I could with her hobbling on her crutches. We walked inside the building and to the cafeteria. I made to glare at any and every guy who dared to look at Jane. I smirked at the bastard who wrote his phone number on the cast that was on Jane's arm. He thought he could get away but not my watch. I had fun beating the crap out of him and I noticed the bruises on his face were still there. I did a job there.
However as we reached the lunch time, my smile instantly drop and I didn't need to glance at Jane to know hers disappeared too. I clenched my jaw and fists tightly as I glared at Mandy who was sitting beside Brianna.
She looked at us and sent me a flirty smile. I flipped my middle finger at her back that didn't bother her.
"Hi, Bellamy." She greeted. She didn't say a word to Jane.
Why the fuck did I even date this bitch, I thought as we sat down. I turned Jane's face towards me and kissed her hoping that it would calm her down but nothing was going to calm her down. She punched her once, she would definitely do it again.
