134; Goodbye (PLEASE READ) / LIGHTS

8-2-16
Am I leaving? No. But is it that inevitable time that With Souls As Black As Charcoal be put to rest? Yes. I started this poetry book in a shitty, empty state of mind in January and we've had some crazy adventures and I've changed a lot since then. I started this project looking to reconnect with what originally inspired my poetry yet I've come to accept the complexity of my poetry now, come to realize this is where I'm at as an artist and I love it.

This has been a crazy seven months, I've come a long way. My new years resolution was to come out of my shell a little and be more expressive. I can say I've accomplished that, but I've found myself along the way.

Cigarettes, pills, manic episodes, oddly creating relationships with my siblings, screaming, relapses, panic attacks, hotel rooms, getting into rapping again, given the opportunity to love somebody for four months, cheating, giving my memory the credit it deserves, rule breaking, trips to "Narnia", cop lights, coming out to my dad, late night drives and fireworks, suicide calls, thousands of lyrics, stripping in bathrooms, sneaking out, lines of honesty, 110 recordings, a composition notebook of memories, hours of stargazing, obsession, numbers, kissing in the rain, 10 hour phone calls, cold fingers and your Tahoe with bass, 600 comments, 133 poems posted,  pencil smudges, and sleep deprivation later and we're here.

"Lights" coming soon ;)

I love you
