I had planned a lot of things for his birthday. I remember how he made my birthday special.

But the only thing I was missing was Attu. But I can't just stick to the thought of her always. I have to move on. No matter what she is living her life now, and she is happy. I am happy to know that she is happy now. 

She resigned from our office and moved to Oddisa. She got a new job, a new house and a new life. I heard that Vikas was still there with her. I am happy someone is there to look after her. 

Now the thing I need to concentrate on is my life. 

One person cannot take everything away. 

Shubbu's birthday was in a week and pretty much everything is planned. To my luck, my school friend Anu came to help me. 

I invited a few of his college friends over on his birthday. As because I have office and meeting on that day I really couldn't just take any leave. But thanks to Tina and Anu who helped and completed the work beforehand.

"The place was booked. And the cake was already ordered"

"Thank you. You are a total lifesaver."

"Yeah yeah whatever, just don't butter me anymore"

"Why not? It will make your skin smooth like butter"

We laughed over the phone. 

Though the original plan was something else. Somewhat similar to my birthday but on that very day I had an important meeting which I cannot miss and that is why we altered the place with a nice restaurant nearby. 

The plan is that I will be taking him there, where all of our friends will be hiding. Once we sit there, there will be a surprise!!!!

The plan was settled. 

Finally, the day came. 19th September. His birthday. 

In these few months, my world has completely changed. I have devoted my life to him. I have taken a challenge with myself that I will make him fall in love with me, with all my love. So for that, I have to work hard. 

"Happy birthday baby"

"Thank you so much"

"You're welcome. So what's your plan for the day?"

"I don't know I guess I will be at home. Since you are going to the office, I really don't have much to do"

I feel sad for him.

"I swear babe If this meeting wasn't important..."

"I know... It's okay."

"Alright let me make it up to you. let's meet in the evening okay?"

"No, It's okay..."

"Nope... not a chance, Shubbu. I will be meeting you by 5 okay?"

"Alright"

"Love you"

"You too"

I hated the fact that nowadays he never says love you anymore. It's just hmmm or you too. Sometimes it makes me sad, but I have to deal with it. 

Despite the differences between us, I have to make it work, This is what a real couple would do right? Walking down the mountains for your love? Loving them to the extent where they feel heaven? I wanna do that for him. 

The whole day was busy for me, Three meetings back to back kind of exhausted me. But I can be tired. I have to make his day special. 

I knew that his bonding with his friends was not that good. Somewhat the reason was his nature. He was more into technologies than parties which is why he doesn't have many friends. The other reason was Rina. The drama that happened when she shouted at him due to being overprotective, has led him to part away from many of his college mates. 

Though there were a few of his friends who still cared for him and took by his side. I was thankful to them.

There were days when I saw him crying for being a loner. His friends were all invited to a party where Rina and others were present, and he was not invited. 

I took him on a date that day. Hopefully, he felt a little good with me. I always try to make him happy. 

So on this day, I called a few of his friends who thankfully agreed to come down to attend the party and there was a few friends of mine. 

But what I hated about his friends was that they were lazy af.

"Don't tell me they haven't reached yet?"

"No Wendy... I called them up they were still on the way."

"Gosh... what do we do now? He will be here any minute. And then it will take just 15 minutes to come over there"

"Try to come up with something to stop. We still need 30 minutes more"

"Fuck! 30 minutes is too much how am I supposed to adjust this time?"

"I don't know to take him to shop maybe... or anywhere... or walk till here"

"Are you mad? it gonna take more than 45 minutes to reach there by walking"

"Then that's perfect. They will be here by then"

I know I have no other option. Shubbu came by the evening.

"Uhm... let's walk today?"

"What? Are you mad? That's like 45 minutes by walking."

"Ah... Yeah, I know... It's just that I wanna walk with you today"

"You're weird"

"I know, now deal with it"

We walked down the road holding hands. I can't ignore the fact that both of us were tired while walking for 45 minutes straight.

"You sure you wanna walk till there?"

"Yeah... let's do this"

After 30 minutes more we reached the location. I carefully looked around and see nobody is there still. I don't wanna ruin the surprise. 

"Why are we here? We could have gone to any normal restaurant right?"

"Nope. today is your birthday and I want it to be special."

He smiled and we took a seat, 

I texted Tina:

"We reached. Where are you guys?"

"Hang on a sec will be there in a few"

"Okay"

"Who are you texting?" He asked gaining my attention.

"Uhm... you will know"

We sat there for a few more minutes and then I spotted them. I smiled knowing that they have made the arrangement right. Shubbu's eyes followed mine and his facelift up with a smile when he saw all of them with cakes and rainbow balloons and so much more.

SURPRISE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

He smiled widely as I watched him amusingly. The plan was successful. I was successful to make his day special.

He looked at me and whispered-" Thank you for making my birthday so special. I love you"

Finally, he said it after so many days. I cannot be happier right now. 

The rest of the evening went with fun, songs, cakes, food and enjoyment.
