"So. . .you're not going?"
I groaned and stuffed my face into the pillow.
"Do I have to?" My voice muffled against the pillow.
Willow chuckled lightly and tried to tug at the pillow. "Aren't we suppose to experience all this?"
"Ugh! You sound like mum." I let her take the pillow off my face.
I looked grumpy.
I didn't want to go to a stupid concert where I had to socialize with random frogs. Its not like my prince charming would be there waving a handkerchief—
"Move." She said and I did make some space for her on the single bed.
She had been visiting me quite regularly. Her roommate was a crazy druggie. Willow , being the softie she was, couldn't stay a word to her so she crashed at my apartment which I did love.
I had to.
Me being alone and all. .
"One week into the campus and we have witnessed a love triangle." She mused.
Yes. I spilled the beans on Megan.
"Must have been our welcome party." My voice was dry and it made her laugh.
Truth be told, I was . .guilty of not letting her into knowing who did Megan cheated with?
I don't know why. .why the heck did I get a dumb face and just stared at my friend as she waited for an answer.
And then I blurted out.
"I didn't see his face."
I didn't see his face.
What a load of crap!
What the fudge got into me to lie for a person I didn't even consider a human? Why couldn't I say his bloody name! There was this slightly pricking feeling in my heart . . .
I lied to my only friend . .
I shifted on the bed.
"Say who is gonna bite our head off at the concert?" I asked.
"Waoh! Tone it down."
She was having a ball of a time at seeing me act like a petulant child.
Which I was. No doubt.
"I think his name is. .Ron—no. Ryan."

I had a stone face.
Willow popped on some gloss and had her best attire on while I. .i was a different story. All I had on was a casual T-shirt and some pants.
"It doesn't matter what you wear. You would look beautiful in garbage ." She said while applying a coat of mascara.
I hmphed!
"Its just a concert , El. We're not going to sell our souls to the devil."
I know she couldn't exactly pin point why I had my not interested face on. Well, she didn't know what I know.
I had to see him break a girl down and now I had to hear him sing too? What was my life turning into? A torture?
I sincerely thought about faking a stomach ache but then I looked at her humming to herself and actually looking happy. .guess I couldn't be selfish.
Sometimes you had to shut your mouth, swallow your opinions and let others live.

The cab dropped us off to a lit street.
No, really. It was lit.
The billboards, the malls, the people. .the whole street was alive and I had no idea about this area.
"Where are we?" I asked in a low voice.
Willow popped out the crumpled flyer from her bag and smoothed it out. " Uh . .street 9, ground 8 and—"
"Ground 8?" I repeated.
She nodded.
People were passing by us on the pavement while I looked around trying to make sense of the area.
"Let's ask around." I said now looking for a friendly face.
I did not let go of Willow's elbow.
She too held tight on me.
"Excuse me ,ma'am?" I raised my voice and the middle aged woman busy on her phone looked up at me , curious.
The second I showed her the flyer, she pointed us out to our exact location. And after thanking her, we made out to the end of the street.
It wasn't even far since it took us like three minutes to get to the gate.
Just as the gate became visible on each step, I knew we had reached our destination because the iron gates had fairy lights decorating it and a line of people were going in.
I couldn't believe a piece of shit had . .fans?
My thoughts turned dark and bitter once again.
Oh! He's definitely going to love my little gift—
"Come on!" Willow dragged us in.
When we slipped in, the place became wide and. .wider. I could easily spot familiar faces. The bling on some dresses was blinding my eyes. Some were smoking in secluded corners. While other ran to get a place so they could eye him.
I rolled my eyes.
I had no idea why but seeing the hero like worship in all those girls eyes. .it was upsetting me on different levels. I felt trapped at a place where I didn't belong to.
I wasn't part of this herd.
Everything got to me.
The name Ryan kept passing around and my head ached as Ryan Ryan kept breaking out in an excited chatter.
"You okay?" Willow suddenly asked , looking at me.
"Yeah. .why don't you grab us a seat while I take a trip to the loo?" I rushed trying to sound normal.
"Sure?" She sounded dubious.
"Cross my heart." I tried to grin and cross my heart .
She nodded. Letting me go.
"I'll be right at the front ,kay?"
I nodded and then giving me one last look she was off . .I saw her back getting lost in the throng of people.
As if a load had been pushed off my shoulders, I sighed softly. Feeling the soft breeze playing around my hair.
Why can't I turn around and run back?
"Get a grip." I muttered darkly and then went on . .away from the stupid crowd. Away from homo sapiens. Away from the Ryan Ryan!
I had a gift for a Mr Ryan!
And I intended on delivering it!

Sneaking around the stage, I rummaged in my sling purse. Looking for my scissors.
I carried a pair of it.
So I could stab a rapist in the nuts!
I did peak around and the stage was abandoned for now. Crowd was definitely waiting for the show down. . .
I couldn't help but laugh like the evil witch in snow white.
The stage was high enough to hide me so I didn't have to worry much. I had to rush and do my job.
Getting down on my knees, I took out the scissors and located the wire that led to the mic. .
"There. .this is for Megan. ." I added as I took the wire in my hand and without batting an eye, snipped it!!
The wiring fell in two halves.
Right in my palm.
Just as I was admiring my handy work, a deep male voice burned my ears.
"What the fuck. ."
