[ THIRD PERSON ]
three months later...

"You look stunning, Sori!"

Sori glances at Minjee through the mirror, and Sori could only feel her mouth drop in awe. Minjee was getting married after a good four years of horrible break-ups and make-ups, but after meeting the supposed one, she finally settled down on a marriage.. and it was mutual.

"I can only say the same for you, Minjee," she giggles. "Are you ready to walk down the aisle?"

"I'm more than ready, I just want to get wived up." She teases jokingly and Sori smiles. "Have you met your partner yet?"

"Oh, uh―I'm not in a relationship, I have no partner―" She begins before Minjee bursts out into fits of giggles.

"No, Sori, I meant if you've met your partner for the wedding? I set up the partners who will be walking down the aisle before I come in." Minjee explains and Sori shakes her head. "Well then, I guess he's arriving a tad bit late than usual. But it's okay, I'm sure you both will get along."

"Who'd you pair me up with?" Sori questions her and Minjee shrugs her shoulders.

"A longtime friend of mine that I lost contact with until he ringed me up, and I decided to invite him to my wedding. And since, you know, you're single, I decided to pair him up with you." She explains, before frowning. "How are you and Taehyung? I invited him as well and he's coming."

"I'm okay with Taehyung now, actually I recently attended Yoojung's birthday party and it seems as if he's found someone new. He's happy, and I'm happy about that." She explains.

"Whether you still love him or not, whether you love me or not, I'm letting you go." He says softly, letting out his breath that he had been holding in for God knows how long. "And even though it'll take some time for me to heal, and even though it'll hurt so bad, I'm letting you go."

"Taehyung.. I'm sorry." She whispers, holding his hands and Taehyung could only flash her a smile. "I only wish for your happiness, but I can't give you it. It has to be someone else."

"I know," he nods his head, "and that's why it hurts. But only time will tell, and only time will heal. I've learned that if you love someone so much, you have to learn how to let them go no matter how hard it will be, and no matter how hurt you'll feel."

"You have the heart of an angel, Taehyung, I truly don't deserve you." She smiles, wiping away a tear. He flashes her a smile.

"And I don't deserve you either." He shrugs his shoulders. "But it's okay, we all deserve someone, don't we? We just have to find out who that person is, and I hope she comes along soon. But for now, it was nice to think that you were her, I guess not.. not anymore."

"Can I... Can I still visit Yoojung?" She hesitates and Taehyung bursts out into giggles, looking at her as if she was insane.

"Of course! You're like her second mother, besides, she doesn't need to know what happened between us... that is something for 'teenage' Yoojung to know." He waves it off. "And also, if you don't visit her, she'd probably get really sad over it."

Sori smiles sadly, squeezing Taehyung's hands. "Are you sure you will be okay?"

Taehyung could only muster a small smile, nodding his head. Even though it was hard to lie, he knew it was the only thing he could do for her happiness.

"I'm okay knowing that you are, Sori."

"How'd Jungkook's wedding go?" Minjee asks curiously, "I've been so out of it, you knew I was planning for my own wedding at the same time, and you know boys are just annoying little freaks that can't make up their minds."

Sori could only laugh, but then she replies softly, "Jungkook didn't get married."

Minjee chokes on her water, placing the bottle down onto the table. Minjee starts coughing and gasping for air, while Sori rushes over to her and pats her back. "You―he didn't get married?!"

"No." Sori purses her lips into a line, "something else ended up happening."

"Did you guys get married instead?" Minjee hesitates as she asks Sori and Sori giggles.

"No." Sori replies. "A few meetings after, he confronted me and told me that he's still in love with me, he then called off the wedding with Hyori. But after that, I haven't seen him since the night I told him to give me time to think."

"Shit," Minjee curses, "well, I probably made him feel like shit because when I invited him to my wedding I asked him to bring Hyori―"

"You invited Jungkook?" Sori interrupts her. "Why didn't you tell me? Shit, do I look okay? Jesus, you should've told me that he was invited and that he's coming―"

"Calm down, will you?" Minjee laughs. "When I invited him, he said he wasn't sure if he was able to come, but if I do see him at the church some time when I arrive, then maybe he had intended to come anyways."

"I hope he decided not to come."

"Correction. You hope he is coming."

Jungkook brings the camera close to his view, looking through the viewfinder before taking a picture of the fountain in the garden. The venue for Minjee's wedding was decorative, a whole flower theme going on, knowing she and Sori ran a flower shop in university years. He smiles when he sees the picture, and suddenly, he hears a familiar laugh.

He turns around, his eyes falling upon the most beautiful angel he has ever seen. His eyes widened in surprise, his mouth slightly parted open, and he was afraid he was going to drop his expensive camera. Sori steps out of the car, waiting for a few of her other friends to get out of the car. She looked beautiful with her white satin dress that had a slit on the side, exposing the side of her leg. Her hair was cut short, and her smile looked brighter than before.

"Maybe I truly don't deserve you," he mumbles to himself, raising his camera up to his view, his finger over the shutter button. But when he sees her smile again, he feels weak in the chest, causing him to sigh and pull his camera away from his face. "I really don't."

He turns away when he notices her start to head further into the garden to head inside the church. He was surprised at the sudden nervousness and vulnerability that he had felt the moment he saw her. Who knew that someone could immediately make you feel small?

"Jungkook-ah!" He looks up to see Yoongi waving him over. "Let's go have some of Minjee's baked cookies in the lobby! They're the best cookies ever."

"S-Sure, hyung." He smiles, nodding his head as Yoongi wraps his arm around his shoulder.

"Are you alright? You look pale," Yoongi asks with concern and Jungkook nods his head reassuringly.

"I'm totally fine, don't worry about it." He replies as the two of them head inside the church lobby.

But before the door closes behind him, he turns over his shoulder to take one last glance at Sori, who was still oblivious of his stares. He feels his lips twitch to a smile, a sad one, and the door shuts behind him.

"Alright, let's get you all set up with your partners! You should all know who your partner is, since it's been all planned out months and months prior to this day."

Sori snorts, she had no idea who her partner was. She just stands there, looking at everyone scatter around the lobby, getting to their partners. She sighs, her eyes scanning around to find a lonely person who could possibly be her partner. But before she could turn around to look again, she feels a light tap on her shoulder. She turns around and her eyes widen.

"Hi, I think we're partners." She stares at Jungkook, who gets shy under her gaze. He scratches the back of his neck. "I mean―Minjee told me that I'm your partner so―here I am?"

"I―well, that's great, I didn't want to get partnered up with a stranger, anyways." She says sheepishly before flashing him a warm smile. "Nice to see you again, Jeon Jungkook."

Jungkook hesitates, but reaches out to grab her hand. She notices how he looks extremely shy and nervous, so she helps him out and holds his hand, intertwining their fingers. She smiles shyly, looking away from him.

"It's―it's nice seeing you again too, Sori. You look... absolutely stunning." He whispers, and she glances up at him, her cheeks flushing a light tint of pink.

She nods her head, "thanks―you don't look too bad yourself either."

And that was how the night started. As the atmosphere becomes more awkward and tense, the both of them knew that there were still a ton of questions left unanswered and were determined to have them answered after a course of 3 months.
