"I don't know what I'd do without you, Yuri."

Sori smiled to herself, shoving another handful of popcorn into her mouth as she watched the two actors lean in to share a chaste kiss. She took a sip of her drink, immediately swallowing it down.

"And I don't know what I'd do without you, Minwoo."

Sori mouthed the exact words that came out of the actor's lips, followed by a loud squeal and a few air kicks to contain her excitement. This was her usual Friday night after a three-hour lecture, — with no breaks, of course, this is university — her arms wrapped around a popcorn-filled bowl and her eyes immersed in a romance movie being the norm.

She would only watch romance movies to give pleasure to her dreams of being in a relationship. Being in a relationship only stopped at being a dream for her, mainly because her first love was dedicated to her own studies. Her parents had made her into a studying robot that goes to school, takes notes, and comes right back home to study her ass off for the next final.

Romance movies were her escape. Her escape, being, from the harsh reality that she had no time for a relationship. Meanwhile, she had a tremendous amount of time for her own education.

Suddenly, she jumped at the sound of her phone ringing. She quickly grabbed it, looking at the bright screen to see the last caller ID she would want to see.

"Hello?" Her voice completely changed the moment she paused the movie to answer the phone call.

"Sori-ssi, is there any way you could come to work tomorrow?"

"I — well, I —" She began, until her boss chuckled.

"I know you did tell me that you had a major test on Monday, but don't worry, I'm not going to let you stay for long." Her boss, Minjee, explained.

Sori rolled her eyes, this is the tenth time you've told me that, and I ended up working a whole Sunday shift.

"Oh, well, I can come." She said softly, "I've started studying for the test, anyways."

"That's great!" Minjee exclaimed. "Don't worry, I won't keep you for long. I just want you to help train our new employee, mainly because you're my favourite employee."

"Oh — that's great!" Sori felt herself get flustered, and she cleared her throat. "I'll be more than welcome to help train a new employee."

"Oh, thank god." Minjee said with emphasis, only to clear her throat as well. "I mean — this new employee.. he's quite.. different, amongst the employees at the flower shop."

"Different? I guess I could help change that." She mumbled.

"Great! I'll see you tomorrow, then." Minjee smiled, and Sori hummed in reply.

The moment she hung up on the phone call, she immediately turned off the TV and ran for her room. A few minutes later, she came out, her arms hugging around her textbooks. If she was going to work tomorrow, there'd be no way that she could study.

"Red blood cells, they contain hemoglobin and they carry oxygen." She read through her notes, comprehending every single word that she had written down. "Also known as enthrocytes—"

On the other side of the wall, she suddenly hears the usual hiphop and rnb songs blasting from the dorm that belonged to none other than Jeon Jungkook. Sori shut her eyes, wishing that she wouldn't have to get up from her comfortable spot on the couch and make her way outside the hallway and pound on his door to have him turn off his loud music.

Sori did like listening to Kanye, but at this time, this was probably the last thing she would want.

"Again," she mumbled to herself, "red blood cells contain hemoglobin and carry oxygen—"

She was cut off by the loud chants of Jungkook, who was rapping along to Kanye's verse. He then belted out, singing, and for once she thought, they were right, Jungkook did have a beautiful voice.

Letting out a groan, she shoved her face into a pillow. Pulling away from the pillow, she folded her arms.

"Shut up, Jeon Jungkook! I'm trying to study!" She yelled, hoping he would hear her through his loud music. If she could hear him singing through these thin walls, there was absolutely no way that he wouldn't hear her plead for him to stop.

Instead, he ended up cranking up the volume even louder. She huffed out a strand of hair from her face, hopping onto her two feet and stomping her way towards her door. She walked outside the hallway that was completely empty, and stopped in front of the dorm right next to hers.

She pounded on the door extremely loud as if her life depended on it, and she didn't seem to care that everyone else on the floor were probably having a good sleep. Glancing at her watch, she read the time.

2:07 AM

The door opened, and she looked up, throwing a death glare towards him. He leaned against the doorframe, his arm propped up against the door, a raised eyebrow, and a bare chest. Her eyes slightly widened, but she shook off her thoughts and folded her arms.

"May I help you at this time of day?" He teased, and she rolled her eyes.

"Can you please turn down your music? I'm trying to study." She said sternly and he smirked.

"On a Friday? I mean — it's Saturday now but — really?" He questioned her with a smug look on his face.

"Just turn down your music and let me study."

"Why do I have to turn down my music? Why don't you study another time?" He argued and she bit her lip and felt her hands ball into fists.

"My test is on Monday, and it's worth a lot." She protested, only to scoff. "Aren't you in my biology class? You should be studying!"

"I'd rather study Kanye's sense of music than study for biology.. on a Saturday morning." He rolled his eyes. "I'm not turning down my music just for you to study."

"Well then, I'm not going to leave until you turn down your music."

He smirked, shrugging his shoulders. "Fine, I hope you don't mind staying in front of my door until 10."

"Oh, you little — ugh!" She groaned in frustration. "Fine, keep playing your stupid music! But if I fail this biology test on Monday, I swear to god, I will kill you."

"We'll see about that." He grinned. "Good luck with that, Sori. Now if you don't mind, I'll go ahead and continue playing my music."

"You're an asshole and I hate you." She spat and he smiled. She didn't know if his smile was intended to tease her or insult her.

"The feeling's mutual." He shrugged his shoulders before shutting his door on her. She heard a few footsteps in his dorm, and a few seconds later, his music was back on blast.

She sighed, trudging her way back to her dorm. Closing her door, she made her way towards her notes and set them aside. Her eyes fell upon her speakers that were covered in dust and were practically untouched since the day she moved in. Immediately, an idea sparked in her mind and she found herself slowly smiling.

"If you get to turn up your music on full blast while I'm trying to study, then I guess that means I get to turn up my music on full blast while you're trying to sleep." She said to herself, smirking.

"Sweet, sweet, revenge."

6:04 AM

She slammed her alarm, shooting up from bed and getting off to make herself some breakfast. Sori's shift didn't start until 10:30, and she had plenty of time to initiate her revenge. Jungkook didn't turn off his music until four in the morning. She remembers hearing him yawn loudly before turning off his music, and probably heading for bed.

Jungkook was known as the bad boy on the campus. He was known for having three piercings on each lobe of his ear, killer muscles, and practically looked like a hot mess in his black clothing. Every single girl on the campus fawned over him, and they wished that they would be the next girl he would bang on his worn out couch in his dorm.

That was one of the consequences Sori had of being Jungkook's next-door neighbour. She remembers the day she moved in an hour before he moved into his dorm, she had prayed to the heavens that she would have a peaceful neighbour. That was until it backfired on her.

He rode his skateboard across the whole and accidentally slammed his suitcase against her door, catching her attention. He even knocked on all the dorm doors, only to run away from them just to piss off his neighbours a tad bit. From then on, everyone knew that Jungkook had claimed the whole hallway to himself.. heck, he claimed the floor all to himself.

As Sori was preparing her cup of coffee, she heard a soft bark and she glanced down to see her puppy, Lucky. She scooped him up into her arms and placed a soft peck on his forehead.

"Good morning to you too," she whispered, before setting him back down on the floor.

As she stirred her perfectly made coffee, she plopped onto the couch and scrolled through her phone. Picking the best playlist, she turned on her speakers and grabbed the AUX cord. Plugging in her phone, she brought the volume up to its loudest.

"I hope you're ready, Jeon Jungkook." She smirked, pressing play as Mercy came on full blast. It was the best Kanye West playlist they could ever offer, and she took it as an advantage.

She made her way towards her room to pick out a cute outfit for her shift. She had tons of time to prepare herself. On the other hand, she could hear some shuffling going on in Jungkook's dorm. Suddenly, her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Sori, what tricks are you playing?" Her friend, Wheein, questioned. Sori could tell she had just woken up from her groggy voice, and she chuckled. "What's up with the Kanye music at six in the morning?"

"Can you hear it?" Wheein snorted.

"No shit, Sherlock." She replied. "But seriously though, are you trying to be like Jungkook?"

"No, I'm just giving him a taste of his own medicine." Sori answered, shrugging her shoulders.

"Holy shit, this is genius!" Wheein exclaimed, "you're genius, I swear."

"I know," she smiled, "I'll talk to you later, I have to get ready for work."

She hung up right after the two of them exchanged farewells, and she heard a loud pounding on her door. Skipping towards the door, she looked through the peephole to see none other than Jungkook.

"May I help you at this time of day?" She teased, propping her arm against the doorframe with a toothbrush in her right hand.

Jungkook looked like a mess. His mop of hair was standing in several directions, he was practically half awake with his eyes slightly parted open. His face was swollen from his deep sleep, and Sori knew that she had reached success.

"Do you mind keeping it down? I'm trying to sleep." He asked her politely and she shrugged her shoulders.

"What? Why? I want to play my music."

"Just turn down the goddamn volume and let me sleep." He groaned.

"Why do I have to turn down my music?" She mocked him, "why don't you just wake the fuck up and take a nap later?"

"I'm running on two hours of sleep, Sori." He argued, "aren't you tired? You should be sleeping! It's so early in the morning."

"I'd rather stay up to study Kanye's sense of music than go back to sleep." She teased, and Jungkook raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, you dickhead." He cursed, "are you trying to play with me? What the fuck, it's so early for games, Sori."

"I'm not turning down my music so that you could sleep, Jeon." She rolled her eyes and Jungkook sighed with frustration.

"Fuck, I really do mean it when I say the feeling's mutual." He spat, and she smirked.

"Goodnight, Jungkook." She teased, "or should I say, goodmorning, Jungkook."

"Fuck you."

"Where is he? I told him that he should be here by ten."

Sori watched Minjee pace back and forth in the flower shop while she was counting the money in the cashier counter. "He's not really good with time management.."

"He did say that he was exquisite with time management, but from what's going on right now.." Minjee trailed off, "I think he's going to lose his minutes."

"Maybe there's traffic? Or commute traffic?" Sori thought aloud and Minjee shrugged her shoulders.

"I'll give him into a quarter before eleven, and if he doesn't come, he's losing his job." Minjee reassured and Sori chuckled.

"Are you really going to do that? The graduate employees had already resigned, and there's only the three of us working here." Sori explained. "I think the last thing we'd want is to lose a potential employee who applies for the job."

"You're right." Minjee nodded her head, ruffling Sori's hair. "You see, this is why I hired you."

Suddenly, the door opened and the two of them looked towards the door. Sori felt her mouth hang open at the sight of a familiar figure standing right before her. Minjee sighed with relief, walking towards the figure and patting his back.

"I'm glad you came!" She exclaimed.

"Sorry, I was running late, there was something going on with the bus transit schedule."

Sori tried pinching herself, wishing that this was all a dream and that she was bound to wake up any sooner. But no, this was all real. Standing right before her was none other than—

"Sori, I want you to meet our new employee that you'll be training and working with for the rest of the month." Minjee smiled.

"Oh god.." She muttered to herself.

"Meet Jeon Jungkook, our new employee or should I say — florist, of our flower shop."
