There she was
Under the dark sky
Stumbling with jolts of electricity,
The distant roaring of the commotion
Of the sky
Charcoal silky strands swiping her cheeks.
Grazing her glossed, plump cherry lips,
Hips swaying to the music blasting in her ears
I stood there
As she melted into the music,
Tapping feet and a subtle shake of the head
Ruining, corrupting my thoughts

And the sudden
Minuscule splash of water
Cascading towards her eyes,
Flinching, halting her movements
She led her head back
The bunch of hair twisted, twirled in the high bun
Moving down

The sky flashing an eye-blinding orange shaded spark of light

Simultaneously

Roaring at her presence

Her eyelids rested softly against her skin, soaked, swept

As the sky poured us with its creation, the ecstatic cry of defeat
Unable to hold her as I would.
