I'm sorry guys. I'm just not... I don't know the word for it.... I'm just feeling "under the weather" (as us Floridians say and just about everyone else...)

Not sick wise but thought wise..

(Dark's P.O.V. now.)

PART TWO: EVERY LIGHT BURNS OUT... EVENTUALLY

You know that light within you that burns through thick in thin? No, I'm not talking about an actual light, dingus. I'm talking about someone else's soul that is on the line because they went through hell and back when they got zapped?

Nope didn't think so.

Mark, are you okay buddy? No reply. I sigh watching Anti sprint across to the other building, signalling that it was okay to follow. 

It's been nearly an hour and a half since I last heard Mark and before everything happened. The skin on his arms and face were still very bruised but overall I felt no pain at least. All I felt was Mark's soul's heartbeat. And it was growing fainter slowly but surely. And to be honest, I was terrified. I don't want to be in control of Mark's body! It's scary as hell when I take over his body sometimes knowing that there was a small chance of me permanently taking over his body, even if it's unintentional.

"Hey," Jack whispers as we both jog across some road I don't know the name of. "How's mark doing?" I shrug and continue jogging forward. "But surely there is-"

"Look," I tried to mutter but it ended up coming out as a growl. "All I know is that his soul is still 'alive' and his heartbeat is slowly fading away. That's it."

"Oh.." Was all Jack responded as we caught up with Anti. Anti signals the all clear for Vinny and Felix, who start running towards us.

Something flies by Vinny's head and she flinches, grabbing Felix by the hand and then instantly appearing where we were. Anti glances at Vinny worriedly.

"Are you okay?" Concern laced in his voice. She smiles as a faint line of blood trailing down her cheek.

"I'll be fine, but I think if we teleport a couple of feet, it will be faster."

"The only problem with that is we don't know what's around at that couple of feet."

"Well us running slowly isn't giving us a great advantage at all."

"Um..." Felix clears his throat. "Guys?"

"But I'd rather be safe than sorry!"

"And I don't want to waste anymore time-"

"Guys!" Felix shouts a little louder. We all turn to look at him. His face was pale as he points. "I.... I think we are in Ohio...."

"What? Impossible! We were just in....." Anti trails off as he reads the welcome to Ohio sign.

"B-but what happen to the rest of...." Jack trails off. Nobody answers. And why would they because we don't know how we got from Kansas to Ohio real fast.

"The only thing I have to offer as an explanation is if whoever is making the game here on Earth do what it's doing... There is no way we can beat it..." Felix says.

And sadly I agree.
