Back to NEST

Sam and I, along with Bumblebee and the rest of the Autobots and Simmons and Dutch had been waiting on the side of the road for about ten minutes waiting on Sentinel to show up. I was becoming rather anxious because I had no clue what could happen in the next minute of even the next thirty seconds. I just really needed him to show up so we could move on.
"I can't take this anymore. He needs to get his ass here," Sam exclaimed.
"He's about seven hundred feet behind us. Turn around," Bumblebee instructed us.
I turned around to see Sentinel speeding towards us. He was a bit behind, but I could still make out his figure perfectly. Sam grabbed his phone out of my hand and dialed a number before getting out of Bee's cabin and stepping onto the street. I just groaned and repeatedly slammed my head into the seat. Why couldn't I have just woken up today and went to the stupid party with Carly? It would probably be much better than worrying about all of this alien shit.
"Calm yourself, child. You'll injure yourself if you keep on," the radio sounded.
I sighed and pushed my hair out of my face. "This is becoming ridiculous, Bumblebee. What if something bad happens?"
"Nothing bad will happen. I promise I won't let anything happen to you or Sam," he assured me in his true voice. I smiled. I honestly never understood why he alternated between the radio and his true voice. In my opinion, his true voice outranked all of his radio clippings.
The passenger's door opened and Sam got in. He seemed slightly distressed. It didn't take long, though, for Bumblebee to take off down the highway with Sentinel, all of the other Autobots and Simmons.
"Who were you talking to?" I asked Sam.
"Mearing. I was telling her about the pillar and Decepticon ordeal," he told me.
I nodded and sat back in my seat before putting Bee's window down. It was silent for a few moments before the sound of police sirens echoed through the air. I craned my head and looked out of Bee's side view mirror to see three black Suburbans pursuing us. Nothing about the vehicles screamed "police officer" to me. These were most definitely Decepticons. I shot up in my seat and turned around. They were only getting closer to us.
"Bee, you have to go faster," I warned him.
I gasped as the Suburban in the middle transformed and grabbed Simmons out of the Maybach before throwing him. I just turned back around in my seat and squeezed my eyes shut. Things had definitely gotten worse.
"Bee, we have to get Sentinel out of here! We have to guard him," Sam exclaimed.
I could feel Bumblebee speed up ever so slightly and I opened my eyes to look out the window. There were now three Decepticons running after us. The three of them flipped cars, threw trucks, and shot at anything that prevented them from getting to us. I braced myself though, as the middle bot lunged forward in an attempt to literally jump on top of Bumblebee, but Bumblebee slowed down just enough to miss the blow from the Decepticon. The bot landed in front of us and quickly got up to pursue Sentinel.
"Shoot him Bee!" I yelled.
Bee didn't take long to listen to what I had to say and apparently neither did Sideswipe and Dino. Dino transformed and jumped up, launching his grappling hooks at the Decepticon. Bee continued to shoot as Dino swung the now dead Decepticon into a car on the opposite side of the road. Nothing was getting any better though. The other two had now managed to push their way in front of us. In an attempt to keep us from stopping them, they threw cars at us and other debris. The Autobots retaliated quickly though and I could feel myself flipping through the air. I grabbed at my chest as Bee landed back on the ground and looked at Sam who was just as startled as I was.
"Ready to give up yet?" he asked me.
"Nope," I breathed out.
I turned to look back out the windshield and my eyes nearly burst from their sockets. The Decepticons had thrown some sort of utility truck towards us. Debris and other utilities flew everywhere and I knew Bumblebee wasn't going to be able to just jump his way over this.
"Oh my gosh!" I yelled as I tried to press myself into the seat.
The next thing I knew, I was flying through the air. A shrill scream escaped my mouth as I felt the wind in my face and as small pieces of debris sliced at the skin on my face. A large hand wrapped around my body and calmed myself just enough to see that I was now back in the safety of Bumblebee's cabin with Sam. I placed my hands on either side of the dashboard and took deep breaths. That hadn't been the first time I was being hurled through the air, but it definitely outranked the first time. Once I had calmed down, I sat back in my seat and closed my eyes.
"Alright. Let's head back to NEST," Sam breathed.
His tone indicated that he was just as frightened as I felt. Today was supposed to be a day of just finding out what the Decepticons were up to and hopefully the Autobots could have put a stop to them without Sam or I being caught in the middle of it.
"Ironhide," I heard Sam say.
What? My eyes shot open and I looked to see Ironhide speed past us and towards the two Decepticons behind us. The matter didn't particularly worry me though. Ironhide could take care of himself when it came to the Decepticons and with help from Sideswipe, the two Cons would be down in no time.
Bee spun and soon enough the entrance gates at the base came into view, as well as my father. He sped through the gates and came to a stop, opening his doors to let the two of us out. Most of the Autobots were now visible. Sentinel was over in a corner while Mudflap and Skids were parked in front of him. Bumblebee transformed shortly after we got out and Ironhide pulled in through the gates and transformed to stand beside Bumblebee. I spotted my dad a few feet away and ran over to him, Sam shortly on my tail.
"Dad, we've got Decepticons everywhere."
He sighed. "I know. I've got my whole team deployed looking for them. Twins, Ironhide! Protect Sentinel. Get him locked up inside," my dad instructed.
"Alright man, you can count on us," Skids exclaimed.
Ironhide just grunted.
"You have to guard him because he's the key to the whole thing," Sam told my dad.
The sound of Sentinel's loud, baritone voice caught the attention of everyone and every bot in the general vicinity. His tone frightened me, actually.
"Indeed I am. What you must realize my Autobot brothers is that we were never really going to win the war. For the sake of our planet's survival, a deal had to be made with Megatron," Sentinel said.
His words confused me, but his statement became pretty clear to me when he turned around and pointed his large gun at the twins, both of whom were completely oblivious to what was going on behind them. My eyes widened and I stepped forward but was pulled back by both Sam and my father.
"No!" I screamed as he pulled the trigger, sending my baby boy Mudflap to the ground. Skids couldn't stop long enough to see what was going on before Sentinel shot him down too. I was almost certain everyone was reacting, but I couldn't exactly think straight. I was too busy paying attention to my Autobot brothers' pained cries.
"I hereby discharge you two from duty," Sentinel stated as he pulled the trigger two more times.
I watched in horror as the two of them offlined, but was soon ripped away from their lifeless mechanical bodies as Sentinel pointed his gun towards Ironhide and Bumblebee. My breath caught in my throat as I watched the two of the bots carefully evade his shots. They quickly flipped over the fence and Sentinel was now shooting up the base. My dad immediately pulled me and Sam behind a barrier to shield us from the gunfire.
"Rally all NEST forces back to the base," my dad yelled to Steve who wasted no time in taking off to carry out his order.
He grabbed the two of us by the wrist and pulled us towards the base door. Inside were a group of soldiers who were surrounding a wounded soldier.
"We need a medic," one of them called.
Sam and I just continued running down the hallway with my dad.
"We don't have enough men! Do not engage Sentinel!" my dad commanded as we ran into the hangar.
I stopped in my tracks. The aircraft hangar was no longer an aircraft hangar anymore; this was a battlefield. I gulped as I watched Sentinel destroy what he could of the aircraft hangar, plane after plane and helicopter after helicopter. I couldn't believe the sight. Men flew around the room and dead men lay on the floor. I was absolutely mortified.
"Oh my god," I whispered as I backed into Sam. He was just as shocked as I was. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me up the stairs where my father and Director Mearing were. My dad grabbed Mearing and attempted to push her back as Sam held onto my arm.
"Come on, let's go. We can't fight him," my dad said to her.
Sam and I just continued to watch as Sentinel destroyed the rest of the hangar before taking off with the pillars. Sam pulled me to the head of the stairs and we stopped just in time to see Optimus roll in. He transformed quickly and observed the damage around him, sadness in his optics. My dad and Mearing ran over to us seconds later.
"Yeah, take a look Optimus! This is all on you," she blamed him. I growled and clenched my fist in an attempt to control myself. Before long, Steve and a group of soldiers were running over to us.
"Sentinel got in the vault. He took the pillars," he told my dad.
My dad's face contorted in anger and he kicked the glass door behind him.
"Come on. Let's go," he instructed us as he began running. We followed closely behind him. "Notify the first air born. We need to hunt this thing down," my dad finished as he led us outside.
I stopped and grabbed Sam by the wrist. He turned around to face me.
"We have to get home and I don't know how we're going to do that. I need to see if Ironhide is okay and I'm sure you're worried about Carly and Bumblebee," I breathed.
"We have to run. I was just thinking about that," he said to me.
I scoffed. "It will be dark before we get home, Sam."
"I don't care. I need to know if they're okay," he retorted.
I sighed and nodded. "You better call me if something goes wrong. If you don't, I swear I will have your head on a pike," I warned him.
He only nodded and took off down the street. I sighed once more and began my run. Running in these heels was exceptionally difficult, but I was far more worried about the well-being of my mate. I just hoped he was okay.
