I had a dream last night
No, I didn't have silky hair.
I didn't have wealth,
I wasn't a champ.

I had a dream last night,
In my tales they were perfectly normal,
But they were read out to scare kids from candy.
When a child was naughty they made them sleep in my shoes.

I had a dream last night,
It had snakes, scorpions, pain, fear
I didn't wake up screaming,
I didn't wake up sweating,
I guess it's only a nightmare when you're scared.

I had a dream last night,
In every one of my dreams there's no prince.
In every one of my dreams, I'm no princess.
But, I had a dress on, I looked pretty.
Beauty they say, is subjective.

I've lived in my nightmares long enough,
Long enough to cherish my daydreams.
I've lived enough,
Long enough for pain to comfort.
I had a dream last night.
