"Good morning Kacey and Kason" I smiled at the sleeping twins in their rockers, pecking their foreheads

"What about me?" Mekai asked, flipping the pancakes

"I was getting to you Poppa Bear." I grabbed his face, kissing him

"Mm, good morning to you too." He gripped my ass "How you sleep?"

"Like a baby." I stayed in his embrace, enjoying the feeling

"I'd like to think I helped with that."

"Mhm" I pecked his lips "All them rounds wore me out." I walked over to the fridge

"I'ma put all that energy back in you after the twins go."

"Go where?" I asked, pouring us some orange juice

"My parents wanted to spend the day with them."

"It's fine, but you should've asked me first."

"I ain't think I had to, I mean they my kids too, it's just they grandparents." He shrugged turning the stove off

"Yeah, but I still have a right to know where they going no matter who it's with. Anything can happen at anytime." I sat the cups on the table

"You right, I'ma let you know next time."

I loved how we were growing, we don't argue as much and we communicate way more.

"Thanks baby." I pecked his lips, then sat beside him "And thanks for breakfast, I bet it taste as good as it looks."

"That's the first thing I said when I saw you." He smirked, cutting into his pancakes

"You so nasty." I grinned and playfully rolled my eyes

"Baby, get up. I wanna' go somewhere." I put my earrings in as Mekai slept

After the twins left, he stuck to his word and put all the drained energy right back into me. But it ended up draining all the energy out of him so now all he wanted to do was sleep.

"Kai." I tapped him

"Hm?" He rolled over

"Let's go to the mall or something, I'm tired of being stuck in here."

"Shhh" He turned his back to me

"But baby I'm bored. The twins gone and you sleep."

"Come lay wit' me." He tapped the empty spot on the bed

"I was just laying with you." I sucked my teeth

He mumbled something inaudible

"Kai, I wanna go shopping with my man." I laid my head on his back

"Get my card and go shopping, my treat."

I sucked my teeth again "I don't want your money, I want you." I pouted "...But I'll take it." I got off the bed and grabbed his wallet, putting his credit card in my bag

"Mhm." I heard him lightly chuckle then his soft snores right after

I put some lipgloss on and grabbed my bag "Love you baby." I pecked his forehead

"Love you too." He fanned me off

"Don't be shooing my love away." I plucked his ear before running out the room

"Thanks for shopping at Complex Culture." The girl behind the counter handed me my eighth bag

"Thanks." I said before walking out

"Kyla! Kyla!" somebody yelled as I exited the store

I turned around and an older woman I'd never seen before walked over to me.

"I know you?" I asked

"I'm Olivia Scott, you were a special friend of my son's, Calvin Scott."

"Ohhh ok." I nodded

I never met Calvin's mom, I've never even been to his house.

"I know you probably wondering how I know you." she started "Calvin used to talk about you all the time." A smile spread on her face "Before he passed" then her smile faded

"How sweet, I'm sorry for you loss but-"

"Before you run off, please take my card. We do meetings every Wednesday for kids that go missing in our town and I'd love for you to come speak or even just stop by." she handed me her card

"I'm only here visiting for a few days, sorry." I didn't take it

She put it back in her purse with a glum look on her face "Oh...ok. Good speaking with you, God bless."

"You too." I said before walking off

I didn't mean to come across as rude at all, but she seems a little weird. I've had too many crazy run ins to put anything past anybody. Especially with her being Calvin's mom, the crazy must come from somewhere.

My phone rang just as I went in Forever 21, I grabbed it from my purse and answered Mekai's FaceTime call.

"Yes?"

"You been gone all damn day." He sucked his teeth "I know you still ain't at the mall."

"I am, your treat." I showed him my bags

"It better be a shirt or somethin' in there for me."

"Boy no, If you wanted something, you should've came." I said, even though three of these bags were full of clothes for him

"Damn, I woulda' got you something."

"I know." I smiled big in the camera

"I see what it's like." He nodded

I sucked my teeth "What you want, Andrews?"

"For you to get back here so we can lay up and fuck while the kids gone." He said with a straight face

"I don't have no headphones in" I laughed

"Fuck them people." He sat the phone down

"Terrible." I shook my head at him "But I wanna go somewhere with you tonight."

"Where you wanna go, Sunshine?" he asked, turning on the shower

An idea popped in my head "It's a surprise, just be dressed when I get back."

"Oh you spoiling me tonight?" he chuckled, taking his shirt off

"Shut up." I grinned, staring at the camera quietly as I walked to the next rack

My man is so fine.

"Lil freaky ass." He caught me staring "I'm finna' get ready bae."

I chuckled "Ok, love you."

"Luh' you." He said before hanging up

I called Clinton after getting off the phone with him

"Hey, what the twins doing?"

"Joyce feeding them right now, then they going down for a nap." he put the camera on her holding Kacey

"Aw, I miss them. Everything going good?"

"Yeah, Kason makes the same face Mekai does when he taking a shit." Clinton laughed, showing me

"I always wondered where he gets that from" I chuckled watching Kason's eyes get big and his nose crinkle

"I'ma change him, talk to you later."

"Alright." I hung up

"Why I gotta wear this thing?" He touched his blindfold for the hundredth time

"Kai don't take it off." I swatted his hand away while driving

"I'm just tryna' see where we going. I don't know if you knew this or not, but you got me beat in the crazy department baby."

"Fuck you"

"Hop on" he humped the air, grinning "Ooo, is that why you got me blindfolded? We finna do some wild shit?"

"Stop talking." I parked the car and shut the engine off "We're here."

"Now can I take the-"

"Mekai don't touch that damn blindfold." I got out and went to his side to help him out

Once we got to the door, I undid the blindfold.

"Where we had our first date." A smile spread across his lips

"Yup, with Dom and Laura. Come on so you can lose." I grabbed his hand as we went inside

"Tuh, you funny baby girl."

"We bouta' see how funny you look losing." We got in line

"Since you so guaranteed I'ma lose. Loser owes the winner..." he whispered the last part in my ear

I smirked "Ooo, bet."

"I can't believe I lost." I groaned as we sat in Lilian's

"Believe it baby, I got skills."

"You play football, you good with your hands."

"You won't be using none tonight." He winked

"Just for right now." I reached under the table and grabbed him through his pants

His leg jumped and he grabbed my hand. "You can't just be doing that."

"It's mine. I can do whatever I want." I kissed on him while massaging his growing member

The diner was about to close for cleanup so it was basically empty.

"You tryna' get some shit started." He bit his bottom lip

I smirked "Mhm" I got to his sensitive spot behind his ear, one lick and a kiss and he got harder than cement

I reached my hand down to unzip his pants and-

"Hey, Kyla." a newly familiar voice said from behind

I moved my hand and Mekai sat up straight.

"Mrs. Scott, hey."

"It's just Ms, Calvin's daddy left me after Calvin passed."

"Oh..."

"I don't mean to bother, I just wanted to speak since I saw you. Twice in one day, ain't that crazy?" she chuckled

"Yeah...crazy."

"Oh, where are my manners? Hello" she spoke to Mekai

"Hey. I didn't know Calvin, but he seemed like a nice kid." He put on an act

"Your name is?"

"Mekai. We went to school together."

"Oh yes, Mekai Andrews. I've been seeing your name everywhere lately, football superstar." She complimented

He gave a small smile "Thanks."

Olivia stood there, oddly smiling back "Well I should be going, I just came to pick up my soup."

"Bye." I said

"Is it me or she seem like she need to borrow a few pills?" He asked while Olivia wasn't far from the table

I chuckled, trying to hold it in.

"You said something?" she turned around

"Oh no, have a nice night." I smiled, trying to hide my laugh behind it

"You too, God bless." Olivia replied

"Let's go, we can pay at the front." I got up

Mekai stood up, readjusting his pants a little since his bulge was barely noticeable now.

After they had finished wearing each other out in the bedroom, Kyla ran them a nice warm bubble bath.

"What she mean twice in one day?"
Mekai asked, resting between her thighs

"Oh I forgot to tell you, she stopped me at the mall earlier. She was yelling my name like she'd known me for years or something." She played with the water, letting it drip down his chest

"Crazy recognize crazy and that bitch look like she ain't right in the head."

"At all." Kyla chuckled "...So when you plan on going to see your son?" she asked after a while

"What you get at the mall?"

"Kai" she said in a warning tone

"I don't know."

"You don't know? That was the point of this whole trip, I came along because we had to come this way, but you skipped right over New York."

"I know, it's just- I- Never mind." He sighed

"No, talk to me." Kyla readjusted her body in the water

"...I don't think Eric is mine." He referred to his child with Bridgett "I don't feel the same connection with him like the twins, don't get me wrong, I love him to death...it just feel like something off."

"Is this because of-"

"No, it's not because of Bridgett, I just don't know." He shook his head

"Look at me." Kyla turned his head toward her "Do what you've been doing out of love for that lil boy, but get another test if you feel that way."

"I love you." He said before pecking her lips

"I love you too."
