"Yes Cam, I'll be visiting soon." Kyla sat the phone up as she cooked

"Good, I miss you and my niece and nephew."

"We miss you more."

"What about me?" Mekai came into the camera's view

"Kai?!" Cam gasped from excitement "When did you get there?"

"Hold on Cam." Kyla quickly put the phone on mute

"Why you mute it?"

"Her or my mom don't know about you being here yet."

"So?"

"So I wanted a chance to tell them first."

"We can't keep playing hide and seek. Just because you did it for a year doesn't mean I am." He took the phone, taking Cam off mute

"I got here a few weeks ago. I haven't seen you in a long time. You lost a tooth?"

"Yeah. Momma' gave me money."

"What about the tooth fairy?"

"Ain't no such thang' as the tooth fairy." She said, showing her missing tooth "Only little kids believe in that."

"Excuse me, lil lady." He chuckled "I didn't know I was talking to a big kid."

"Duh Kai, I'm 7 now."

"Girl who you on the pho-Mekaaai" Sylvia smiled, hiding her true shocked expression

"He knows about everything already ma'." Kyla said

"Whew." Sylvia released a breath of relief "I apologize for lying about not knowing where she was honey, I was just helping my child."

"I understand Sylvia. I'm pass all that, I just want to take care of my kids."

"Of course." She smiled and nodded "Cam, that homework ain't gonna' do itself. Say goodbye."

Cam sighed and pouted "Bye Kai."

"Bye, I'll talk to you soon." he said before handing Kyla the phone

"Love you Ky."

"Love you, lil bit." Kyla said before letting the phone hang up

"Damn, she's gotten so big now." That was the first time he'd spoken to Camryn in about 8 months

Kyla chuckled "Yeah, 7 was a big deal for her."

They stayed quiet in a awkward silence before somebody knocked on the door.

"I got it." Mekai said

"Hi, I'm Sean. Is Kyla here?" Mr. Williams stood at the front door

Kyla hurried out of the kitchen and to the front door.

"Hi, Mr. Williams." She smiled "I got it Mekai, thanks."

He gave her a side eye before going in the kitchen.

"I hate to drop pass unannounced, but I went in the office to do some paperwork and your jacket was there." He handed it to her "I thought I'd bring it pass, didn't wanna' leave it in the office all weekend."

"Yeah...thanks." She nodded

"Can I speak with you for a second?"

"Sure." Kyla stepped into the hall and closed the door

"I didn't know anything about another person staying here. I thought it was just you and the twins."

"Uhm...yeah. It's the twin's father, he's not staying here or anything he's just visiting."

"Oh...alright. You all have a lovely evening"

"You do the same." she went back inside

Kyla didn't mind Mr. Williams asking questions, after all he is the owner of the apartment she's been staying in. But she knew he was only asking because it was a man, he never questioned Kyla about her mom or Cam.

"Hey lil man." Kyla saw Kason in Mekai's arms

"Who was that?"

"My boss" she replied

"You know he like you right?"

"Yes Mekai, I already know."

"Just saying." He shrugged "He needa' be changed." He picked Kason up, taking him to the back

While Mekai changed Kason, Kyla finished cooking dinner.

After he was done, he came back into the kitchen with both twins since Kacey woke up while Kason was getting his diaper changed.

"I'm gonna' feed him first, put her in the swing. You can eat." Kyla picked up Kason

"You interested in him? Before you start, I just gotta' know 'cus he might eventually be around my kids."

"No, I'm not. I wasn't going to ask if you were jealous or anything. You're single." She shrugged

"That don't mean I don't love yo lil annoying ass."

"I know. I love you too..." she bit her lip "Have you talked to Bridgett and your child?" She asked

He sucked his teeth "You always gotta' ruin the lil' nice moments we rarely have."

"I'm just asking a question, damn."

"Yeah I talked to them...I'm going down there to visit next week when I'm coming back from Seattle."

"Ok. You mind if I come? Cam's little class graduation is next week."

"You know I don't."

"Ok..." she walked into the living room to breast feed Kason.

"Get out, I'm naked." she covered herself as best as she could with her tank top she'd already taken off

"It ain't nothing I ain't seen before." He got a glance at how her hips had spread since the kids

"Mekai, get out."

"I just came in here to get my towel." He walked over to her

"Ok, hurry up." She turned around, turning the shower on

Normally she'd wait for the water to get warmer than what it was, but she decided to just get in since Mekai was in there.

"Close the door all the way." she said as she heard the bathroom door close.

She grabbed her wash rag and soap, then began her shower.

As she showered, the glass fogged up and prevented her from seeing the rest of the bathroom. Which means she couldn't see that Mekai didn't leave out of the bathroom at all. He watched her while he undressed, then just after she rinsed off he slid in behind her, wrapping his arms around her wet waist.

She looked, seeing it was him "Mekai, what you-"
