"Hey, welcome to Joe's, how may I help you?" The waitress asked

"I'll take a wat- Mekai" Kyla mumbled, making eye contact with Mekai who was sitting on the other side of the restaurant

"Excuse me ma'am?" She asked

"A water...with extra ice" she smiled. "And chicken Parmesan for my meal." Then handed her the folder

"Hey, you ok?" Professor Edwards asked

"I'm cool. Uhm...I'm gonna go to the bathroom for a second" she felt Mekai's eyes on her

"Ok" he smiled, patting her thigh, resting his hand there for a few.

She gave a quick smile before getting up and heading for the bathroom. Kyla could still feel Mekai's cold eyes on her with every step she took. She ignored it as best as she could while walking pass his table.

Once she reached the bathroom, she took a few deep breaths, feeling relieved. 

"Get it together." Kyla gave herself a pep talk, dabbing a damp napkin on her face "Yeah. You can do this...I think" she threw the napkin away and headed for the door

As she was on her way out, he was on his way in.

"You can't be in here" she immediately said

"How you been? Long time no see" he backed her into the family bathroom, locking the door in the process

"Stop baby- I mean Mekai. You need to let me out"

"Or what? Yo lil boyfriend gone beat me up?" He laughed, towering over her "Girl, you funny" he cornered her in

"He's not my boyfriend. He's just a-"

"Friend? That's not what he seems to think. I see the way he touching yo' leg and shit."

"He's my professor"

"Oh that's the professor that's been flirting with yo ass?" He got closer to her

"Kai move" she said sternly

"Move me, Sunshine" he said before attaching his plump lips to her neck

Kyla gripped his shoulder, seeing as how he found her weak spot. His kisses turned into sucks as he reached under her dress and ripped her thong off.

"A friend huh? You wear these with friends?" He grumbled in her ear, nibbling on it a little

"No-No...I-I-I. Mmm fuck" She was a mess while his hands worked between her thighs

He massaged her clit with one hand, letting his mouth leave licks, sucks, and kisses on her neck.

"You like playing games, huh?" He asked huskily in her ear

"I-I'm not, I'm not" She breathed out, trying to move his hand

He moved her hand off of his and went right back to rubbing her soaked center.

"You haven't talked to me in three weeks. You moved most of your shit out, so you really done with me?"

"You told me to move my stuff out"

"You know I ain't mean it, I was just tryna make you mad"

That was true. Mekai didn't mean any of the harsh things he said towards her. He was just so frustrated with not having her that he didn't know how to deal with it. Besides, he had been skipping more days on his pills than ever before.

"Mm, I miss you so much" he took his time leaving kisses on her visible skin, regardless of them being in the bathroom

"Kai" her voice was becoming weak

"Please come back, I need you" he lifted her up by her legs, putting them around him

"You make me sick." She moaned as he sucked on her neck and got his pants and boxers down

"I know, I'm sorry." he teased her already dripping center "I love you" he said before sliding inside

"Mmm, I love you too" Kyla braced herself as he thrusted into her

She adjusted her dress as she made her way back to the table.

"You ok? You were in there for a while."

"Uhm yeah...I have a family emergency I need to tend to." she lied, picking her books up

"Oh. We can reschedule"

"Ok, thanks. See you" her jelly like legs carried her out of the restaurant

"You ready?" Mekai leaned against his car

"This still don't mean you off the hook, asshole. We having a long talk when we get home."

"Yeah, you can talk to me while I'm blowing ya back out" he slapped her ass, opening her car door for her

"I'm serious Kai"

"Ok, we need to talk now." Kyla laid on the pillow beside Mekai, wrapping her naked body in the blanket

"I'm all ears."

"I feel like I heal better with you than without. No matter how much I try to stay away, I can't."

"Same here, baby. You're my healing, my breath of fresh air." he placed his hand on her hip, under the covers

"I'm giving us one more try. Next time you fuck up, there ain't no getting back together. I love you, but I swear I'll try my hardest to live without you."

"You won't have to. I won't even come close to fuckin' up" He stared into her eyes, pouring out all honesty

"For the sake of your life and whoever, I hope you're telling the truth."

"I can show you better than I can tell you" he began placing kisses down her neck

"Nope." She moved away from him "You're on punishment"

"But we just-"

"I had to get it out my system a little. Punishment begins now" she pecked his lips before getting up fully naked and walking into the bathroom

Mekai felt himself shoot up at the sight of her "It's still in my system!"

"Look at God, he gave you not one, but two hands!" she said back, starting the shower

Mekai smacked his teeth, staring at the tent in the sheets. He eased up from the bed and headed for the bathroom door. He touched it and turned the knob, but it was locked.

"There's some lotion out there." Kyla said, chuckling to herself as she began her shower

She felt at peace with herself now, she still had to work on telling him about the miscarriages. She just got him back, she didn't want to tell him news that'd make him go away forever.

Even though he was in the wrong, she couldn't grow the balls to tell him about her not being able to carry kids full term. She knew if it was internally killing her everyday, it'd crush him.

"I found the key" Mekai snuck behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist

Kyla placed her arms over his "I want you to start taking your pills too, I know you've been missing days." she turned around in his arms

"I-"

"And I already seen the cuts. I thought you were doing better." she sighed

"I felt like I was going crazy without you, I tried to keep myself together, I lost control." he held her naked body close to his

"We gonna work on that. Ok?" she looked up at him

"I hear you Sunshine." He watched as she turned back around

Her small frame stood under the shower head, getting her hair wet.

"I know it's still in yo system too" he slid himself inside her from behind

"Mm...Kai" she placed her hands on the shower glass

"I love you, I'm bouta' show you how sorry I am" he whispered in her ear before sucking on her neck

Kyla's eyes rolled back as the water ran perfectly down their bodies. Everything felt normal again.
