"Good job out there!" The assistant coach gave Mekai a pat on the back

"I know, but ol' dude over there did the complete opposite of the play we was supposed to run" he explained

"Oh yeah, that's Ron. He's the head coach's son, that's really the only reason he's on the team."

"That's fucked up, he gone ruin the season." Mekai shook his head

"Andrews, good job out there. You almost as good as my son." Coach Lewis approached

"Aye!" Mekai shouted, getting multiple people's attention

"What?" The dude asked, as Mekai stared harder, he could see it was the coach's son, Ron

"You ain't gone say excuse me?"

"Fuck no" Ron kept his mug

"Come on baby, let's go home" Kyla grabbed Mekai's arm, knowing he was about to snap

"Nah, hold up." He slid out of her embrace "You ain't gone say 'scuse me?"  He asked again

"Fuck yo bitch and you" The guy scoffed, about to walk off

Kyla was on her way to stop Mekai, but he was already beating on the guy.

"Kai, stop!" she tried to grab him off

She knew her boyfriend would mostly likely win the fight, but she also knew it was a possibility he could spend the night in jail.
Just as she was about to call Dominic for help, he came running over, breaking up the fight

"Yo, chill man." Dominic repeated to Mekai, pulling him outside

"Man hell nah!"

"Baby, calm down. You need to calm-"

"Shut the fuck up! I'm tryna protect you and you tryna pull me off!"

"I was just-"

"You know that nigga or somethin'?!"

"You sound dumb, hell no! But I know he looks like the type to press charges! You don't need that drama" she yelled back at him

"Come on girl" Laura pulled Kyla aside

"I'm just tryna help yo stupid ass" she mushed his face before walking off with Laura

"You needa chill bruh, you lit right now." Dominic said

"Girl, you ok?" Laura asked Kyla, noticing she had zoned out

"Yeah, he just makes me so mad sometimes. He can't see I'm tryna help his dumb ass." She rolled her eyes

"She was just tryna' help" Dominic said to Mekai, about 100 feet from Kyla and Laura

"Man, I know" Mekai sighed, rubbing his hands down his face

"You probably hurt her feelings, go apologize to that girl" he instructed

"Awe, you wanna cry?" Laura asked her best friend

"No, I wanna knock some sense into his head" she replied "Everything goes in one big ass ear and out the other" she shook her head

"Sunshine..." Mekai approached them

"You calm now?" Laura double checked

He smacked his teeth "Ain't nobody gone hurt her"

"Whatchu' want, nigga?" Kyla rolled her eyes

"I ain't mean to snap on you like that. I was just too amped up, I apologize." He touched her arm

"I hear you" she slapped his hand away

"Come on ma, don't be like that. Remember how I just had you feeling?" By now, Laura had walked over to Dominic

Kyla nodded

"Don't you wanna go home and finish what we was about to start?" He had his arms around her

"Come on, punk" she smirked

"You gonna regret calling me that in a lil while" he grinned, opening the car door for her
