"Stop whining, she's just helping me with calculus." I explained to Lena

"So you doing so much studying that you can't call or text me?"

"Man" I smacked my teeth "Would you rather have a dumb nigga or one that knows a lil some'?"

"Long as you making money, I don't care." She shrugged

"I see where yo head at" I shook my head

"Isn't that what you wanted, to make money?" She cleaned her nails

"I ain't tryna have this conversation with you right now. I'm finna go home" I stood up and put my shirt on

"So you just gonna fuck me and leave? I'm not some hoe, I'm your girlfriend!" Her voice and responses were getting on my nerves

"Lena, shut the hell up"

"Don't talk to me like that" she cried

I side eyed her overly dramatic ass while I put my shoes on. Kyla would've had a smart remark to say back to me, she definitely wouldn't be crying like a big ass baby.

"See you" I pecked her forehead and grabbed my keys

She mumbled something, but I didn't stick around to listen. She's getting under my skin, so it's best I distance myself from her right now before I do something I might regret.

"Sweetie, you ok?" My mom came in my room

"I'm cool" I nodded, blowing my nose

I caught a cold, which caused me to miss school and work today.

"Want some more soup?" She asked

"No, I'm ok." I handed her my half empty bowl

"Just let me know if you need anything. Ok?

I nodded, feeling annoyed with talking. She knows me like the back of her hand though, so she didn't constantly come in the room being worrisome.

Kai 🤡: You feeling better? -4:30pm

A little -4:32pm

Kai 🤡: Want me to bring you anything? I'm on my way over there -4:36pm

I didn't invite you over 🙄 -4:37pm

Kai 🤡: Today is Thursday, which means it's our studying day. Get that ass up! -4:49pm

Kai 🤡: Want some food or something? -4:49pm

Some NyQuil and chicken noodle soup from Lilian's. Laura knows how I like it- 4:51pm

Kai 🤡: ight. be down there to unlock the door, ain't tryna have another run in with ya worrisome ass pops -4:52pm

He's not here & I don't feel like getting up, my mom will do it -4:52pm

After my dad ranted about how he didn't want Mekai coming over here, Mekai's defiant ass still popped up. My dad tried to get all in his face and shit, but my mom stopped him. Frankly, I'm glad she did because Mekai didn't look like he'd be respectful for too long.

So now everyone has come to an understanding. Mekai's able to come over on our study days, and as far as what I do outside of this house is nobody's business but mine.

~ about 30 minutes later

"Mekai's here. Want me to tell him you aren't feeling well?"

"You can let him in" I said to my mom

She left out for a while and when the door opened again, Mekai was there with bags in his hand.

"Wassup lil motherfucka" he closed my bedroom door

"Boy, a hey would've done just fine" I smacked my lips

"Fuck I tell you bout that boy shit? I'm far from a boy, stop playing with me" he sat the bags down

"Anyways...boy! Give me my shit"

"Better come correct when you talking to me. I can promise you, can't no lil boy do the shit I can do." He still hasn't given me my soup, and he wasn't going to give it to me until I called him something else

"Ok Mekai, I get it. Now give me my shit" I reached for my soup

"Ask nicely" he snatched it back

"Give me my shit before I fuck you up...please and thank you" I smiled

"Hurry up and eat, ain't tryna be studying for forever." He finally handed it to me

I opened the bag, ready to eat "Don't rush me, stupid ass. I'll eat it however I want"

"That's what I be tryna tell yo sexually deprived ass." He smirked, sliding the covers off my legs

"Shut the fu-"

"Kai!" Camryn ran into my room, hugging Mekai

"Wassup lil lady" he grinned

These two have become the best of friends, which is annoying.

"You haven't been in here all day to check on me, now Mekai's here and he's getting all your attention." I said to Camryn "You lil traitor"

She stuck her tongue out at me and turned her attention back to Mekai.

"See what I gotta deal with?" she placed her hand on her hip

"I gotta deal with her too, don't worry" he joked

"The both of y'all can get out" I blew the soup on my spoon

"You love our company" Mekai smirked

"I enjoy my sister's company. Yours? Not so much" I pat his shoulder

"So, you like my stister?" Cam asked

"She's cool, she's just mean all the time" he said

"See you later Cam, I gotta help Mekai with his work" I sat my soup down, getting tired of them talking about me like I wasn't right here

"Fineee. Don't forget to say bye before you go" she hugged him before leaving out and closing the door

"You be gettin' jealoussss" He turned to me

"Nigga, of what? That's my lil sister"

"You don't want nobody else taking up my time. That's real sweet" he pinched one of my cheeks

"Don't touch me." I swatted his hand away "Get your work out so we can get started"

"Aight" he went in his bag "Where yo pops at today? I ain't see him when I came in"

I shrugged, shifting in the bed. "Stop all this extra talking and let's get started"

"Why is it always about work with you? You don't never wanna just chill and talk" he always does this

"Not this again" I shook my head "We'll talk after this work is completed. Your grade is more important than some quick conversation"

"After all this shit is completed, I just wanna chill with you"

"Alright boy, damn"

"I ain't gone keep reminding you about that word" I had called him boy again "I'll fuck that cold outta' you" a sly grin spread on his lips

I smacked my lips "Ok, Kai." For some reason, his words always make my insides tingle. I hate it, but it's enjoyable at the same time.
