*1 week later- Friday

"Thank you for bringing me lunch" I said to Calvin

"No problem, you know you my girl" he pecked my cheek "I gotta get to class, I'll see you later?"

"Yeah" I said before he walked off

I looked up and Laura was grinning at me. I shook my head and chuckled.

"What?"

"You're his girl? When did y'all become a thing?" she sipped her drink

"We aren't a thing. He hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet." I put Polynesian sauce on my Chick-fil-A sandwich

"Does he really have to ask?" She squinted

"Hell yes. I can't just magically become someone's girlfriend without them asking. Didn't Dominic ask you?"

"Not really, we just grew on each other." She shrugged

"Well I like being asked...besides, I'm sure he meant it in a friendly way. You know?" I took a bite of my sandwich

"I feel you" she nodded "Like you my girl and I'm your girl" she pointed between me and her

"Exactly" I covered my mouth as I chewed "Where's Dominic?" I changed the subject

"At home with the flu" she sighed "School is boring without my baby"

"Bitch" I laughed "School isn't supposed to be fun, you come here to get your work done"

"Girl look at them, he got some nerve" Laura said while she walked me to calculus

From halfway down the hall, we could see Mekai and Lena were kissing against my locker.

"That's his girlfriend, what else you expect them to do?" I asked

"He don't even want her! He's just trying to get under your skin, he knows that's your locker"

I laughed a little "Calm down, what Mekai and his girlfriend do don't phase me"

"It phases me, it phases me like all the phases of the moon. How he just gonna take your virginity then be all in her face?" She got a little loud

"Would you shut up?" I said as we neared them "Excuse me" I said to them

They both pretended they had a hearing problem so I said it again "Excuse me"

I grabbed Laura's water bottle from her and opened it, pouring it on the both of them. "Oh my goodness!" Lena shrieked

"Fuck is wrong with you?" Mekai grumbled

"You all were in front of my locker" I smiled as I opened my locker

I transitioned my books as Laura stood behind me laughing. "I'll see you later girl" she said as we resumed walking down the hall

"Alright" I responded before going into calculus

I sat down as the class started. I began chuckling to myself thinking of the looks on
Mekai and Lena's faces. I'm proud of myself for not punching both of their asses like I wanted to. I'm really starting to blossom, this must come with the whole stripping away of the virginity thing.

~ 7:00pm

"Where you going? It's about to be dinner rush" Laura asked as I took my apron off

"My parents are out of town for the weekend, I gotta go pick Camryn up from daycare" I clocked out

"Give her lil mean self a kiss for me"

"Will do, see you later" I said before walking from the back and out the door

While I drove to pick up Camryn, Calvin decided to call. I had my phone plugged into the aux so I answered

"Yeah?"

"What you doing beautiful?"

"Going to pick up my little sister from daycare" I turned onto the highway

"I'd love to meet her one day, and your parents too"

"Maybe you will" I said

"Why just a maybe? You don't see me meeting your family one day?"

"I'm not saying it like that" I stopped at the light

"Then what are you saying?" His tone changed

"All I'm saying is you never know what could happen. Only time can determine stuff like that" I shrugged as if he could see me.

"I guess I can understand that"

"I'll call you back I'm about to go in the building and get my sister" I parked my car

"I can wait" he said

"Uhm ok" I decided to leave my phone plugged in while I went in the building and got Camryn

When we both returned to the car, I started talking to Calvin again "I'm back" I said

"So when do you wanna reschedule our date?" He asked

"Is that Mekai? Hiiii Mekai" Camryn buckled herself in

"It's n-"

"So he's met her before?" Calvin interrupted

"They met a few times." I started the car up

"Yeah, I'll talk to you later" he said

"Calvin it's not like-"

My phone beeped three times, letting me know he hung up. "Who's Calvin?" Camryn asked

"A friend. You want some food before go home?"

"Chick-fil-A, all da wayyyy!" She sang

I shook my head as I chuckled and drove.

After I purchased our food, I finally made my way home. I've worked everyday this week after school, I can't wait to sleep in all day tomorrow.

"After we eat, can we watch a movie?" Camryn asked while we took our jackets off

"What movie we watching?" I took the food in the kitchen

"I don't know yet" she washed her hands

I sat her food out in front of her "When you're done eating, throw your stuff away"

She nodded while she chewed.

I headed upstairs, unbuttoning my work shirt in the process. When I entered my room, I screamed in shock.

"How the hell did you get in here?" I asked Mekai, who was laying on my bed like he belonged

"Why you yelling? I ain't even touched you yet" he smirked, sitting up all the way

"Get out" I grew irritated "You're fucking crazy"

"You think I'm crazy?" he stood up

"If you come near me, I'll fuck you up" I threatened, kind of scared by the look in his eyes

"Don't threaten me with a good time, sunshine" he walked towards me

"Kyla what's- Kai!" Camryn ran over to him and gave him a hug

"Wassup lil lady" he kneeled down to her height

"I ain't seen you in forever" she exaggerated "Where was you?"

"I was busy with school."

"I misseded you. I asked my stister about you all the time, but she told me you wouldn't be coming 'round no more"

"Is that right?" He looked up at me and smirked

"Cam, go finish your food" I said

"But I wanna talk to Mekai" she pouted

"What did I say?" I gave her a stern look

"Fineee" she sighed "Bye Kai"

"I'll be here when you're done eating" He said to her

"Ok" her face lit up as she left out the room

"Don't know why you lied to her. You're about to leave right now or I'm calling the cops" I folded my arms

"Sunshine, do you really think that scares me?" He chuckled

"I don't give a fuck about what scares you, I just know what's going to happen if you don't leave"

He stared at me for a few seconds before laughing "You funny"

"I'm not playing with you" I said in all seriousness

"And I'm not playing with you neither, sit down"

"I'm not doing a damn thing, I don't trust you" I mugged him

"Kyla, sit yo ass down" he raised his voice

"I-"

"I'm not gonna repeat myself again" he warned

I huffed as I sat on the edge of my bed "Fuck do you want?"

"I wanna talk"

"Go ahead" I shrugged

"I apologize for how I acted last week" he finally said

"Apology accepted, goodbye"

"Stop being so damn stubborn and listen" he sat beside me "I shouldn't have treated you like that, especially after you trusted me enough to give me something so special"

"You damn right." I mumbled

"But you can't say you were completely right neither. You should've told me so I could've taken my time with you and made your first time a little special"

"But it was special, I enjoyed myself" I stood in front of him

"That's not the point Kyla. The point is, I could've been really hurting you at some point and you didn't say anything. That makes me feel like I took something from you without your consent."

"I know" I hated admitting he was right, but he was "And I understand how being someone's first can be a lot of pressure. I apologize too"

"So we cool?" He reached his hand out

"We cool" I shook his hand

He pulled me to him and planted a kiss on my lips. I stopped him before things went any further "You got a girlfriend"

"Actually I don't. I broke up with her earlier today, after yo ass poured water on me" he pinched my butt "I was only using her to get your attention anyway"

"Ouch" I swatted his hand away "So you expect me to just have sex with you because you broke up with her?"

"Uhm yeah, I'm a single man now"

"You funny" I mocked him from earlier as I walked back downstairs with Camryn
