Lies Turned To Truth
I could say I was the amazing witch who somehow found a way out of this mess, or that I held my head high, but that's not what happened at all.
What I did was cried, I sobbed and struggled, but I couldn't do anything. I felt so powerless, and no one would even want to help me. My family didn't live anywhere near here, so how would they know my last words, how would they know that their daughter died for being a witch.
They grabbed my hair and cut it all off. I didn't really care about my appearance all this point, but it wasn't exactly helping. I was tied to a cross on a pile of hay. I looked down and just hung there.
They started saying what my supposed crimes were, but I tried to just block out the cheers. I could hear something being lit and felt the hay underneath me being lit and smoke was overwhelming my senses.
The fire was coming closer and closer every second and I felt the right side of myself being burned, but then I heard a loud scream and ice cold water being splashed onto me before someone untied me. "YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!" a voice said.
I couldn't move or talk, so I just listened. I smiled a little knowing there were people who cared that I was alive. "I FORBADE THIS LONG AGO, AND WHAT HAVE YOU ALL DONE? YOU CAN NOT BURN A RANDOM WITCH!"
"But your highness! She was in the forest!" said a knight. "Yeah, like the rest of the witch and wizard's school. If I see this again, the ones responsible will be thrown in the dungeon!"
After that I was helped up and gave back me stuff. My vision became less and less blurry, but the pain fro the burns were still evident. I sat at a police station for a while before a teacher from my school came over. "My goodness! What happened to you?" she said and came over.
She reached in her bag for a bottle and pulled it out. It had a pink shimmering liquid in it and she told me to drink it. I took carefully and drank the entire thing. The stinging pain I was feeling went away completely.
"Don't get hurt too much, that's a very difficult potion to make," the teacher warned. I nodded and cried a little. She pulled me into a hug. "Hey, there there, it's okay, I know, it was scary. Really, it was my fault, you must have gotten off track and ran into the forest to get something?" she asked. I nodded, and we sat in a silence for a couple of seconds before she pulled me up and we went outside.
The students stared at me wide eyed and my roommate came up to me and hugged me, along with Laurance.
