"Amity Blight." Luz repeated before the bell rang and she stood. "Guess that's it."

"Yup." Gus said before smiling. "You're a really cool person, Luz! Hope we can meet again!"

Luz smiled. "I hope so too! I didn't expect to make friends on the first day!"

"Well! You did!" Willow said, giving Luz a fist bump.

Luz just pretended to know what that was, nodding slowly. "Yyyyup. Well, cya later!"

Willow and Gus just smiled with another wave as the students and them headed back to class.

Luz smiled before she watched this 'Amity' leave. She seemed like the type of cold and calculating person, and Willow seemed to be familiar with her.

She wondered why.

'Looks like I'm gonna be better acquainted with someone else soon.' Luz thought before Amity looked at her. 'IHAVEBEENDISCOVERED.'

Amity had a blank expression for a bit before she smiled softly, giving a little wave and then left.

Luz just awkwardly waved back before heading off to class.

Once the final bell rang, a few students seemed to be DESPERATE to leave the building, but Luz just walked at a normal pace before seeing Eda in her car.

She smiled and got in. "You got those windows fixed!"

"Yup." Eda said as she started the car and drove off. "How was your first day, kiddo?"

"Not as bad as I thought!" Luz said. "I was expecting to die!" She laughed.

"Kid, I was joking about a lot of that." Eda laughed. "I mean, yeah! It happens! But not on the first day, especially when there's someone new in town."

"...Will it happen when I'm no longer new in town?" Luz asked.

Eda shrugged. "Probably."

Luz gulped, but this time she wasn't so sure whether to believe Eda completely. After all, she had friends now.

"So, make any new friends?" Eda asked.

"Yeah, actually!" Luz smiled.

"Oh! Good! They nice or just your average cool kids that you wanna leave a good impression on?"

"They're actually nice. I could tell they wanted to make me feel welcome!" Luz smiled again. "I mean, I did get something called a spitball..."

"Oh, the bullies." Eda sighed. "That's a common in a lot of schools. Or just annoying kids that are just assholes...where do they live?"

"Uhhh, I dunno. The bully never talked to me." Luz shrugged. "Why?"

"I have a shovel for a reason." Eda smirked.

Luz's eyes widened. "Say...what?"

"You heard me." Eda said. "No one hurts the kid who's pretending my kid."

"Awwww!!! I feel both affectionate and afraid!"

Later that night, when Luz was about to change into her pajamas, she heard something. She tilted her head and looked out her window.

"Hmmm...nothing." Luz said before laying down on her bed. She then changed into her gray tank top and purple shorts and then grabbed the Azura book she was reading earlier, just to finish the final chapter.

King yawned as he stepped into the room, crawled onto Luz's bed and fell asleep a little too quickly.

Luz just smiled, petting King with one of her hands while still not taking her eyes off the book.

After about an hour, she closed it. "Whoa...I need more of these." Luz said before she set the book on her bedside drawer and turned off the lights, and then was about to fall asleep until?

BANG

Luz shot up from her bed and looked outside again. But this time? There was actually something there.

A shadowy figure with GLOWING green eyes. And the figure was huge.

Luz screamed and quickly jumped out of her bed. Then? She saw the demonic wings. She growled and summoned her staff and her witch attire.

The figure just grinned before flying off the house. Luz opened the window and then quickly flew after this figure.

Luz and the figure flew high into the sky until the light of the moon revealed a giant and gray demon.

The demon was covered in head to ankles in gray fur, with their hands and legs being covered in skin. Their face was horrifying, sharp fangs, no nose, glowing eyes without eyebrows, and long strands of black hair. And finally, they had giant bat wings on their back.

"Bat Queen." Luz snarled as she and the demon began to fly around in circles, slowly, both facing each other.

The Bat Queen cackled. "The one and only, darling."

"What are you doing in the human realm?!" Luz asked before sticking out her tongue underneath her cloak's mask. "And what happened to your face?! You used to be...well. Hot!"

"Oh, this is my true form, Luz Noceda." The Bat Queen said, her wings flapping. Despite her horrifying appearance, she sounded very commanding, but enticing.

Luz growled before preparing a light spell. "Well, state your business here! Last time we fought? You were working for Belos!"

"He promised me unlimited prey." The Bat Queen snarled. "He is intending to keep on that promise. Every girl needs to feed~" She cooed, looking at the palisman. Otto.

"You'll have Otto over my dead body." Luz said as she quickly blasted a beam at the Bat Queen.

The Bat Queen roared in pain before screaming, unleashing some kind of sonic wave. Luz covered her ears, gritting her teeth.

Luz then spun around her finger again, sending a vortex of fire as she flew down towards the ground, that way she wouldn't fall from such a high distance in this state. Her ears were ringing.

The Bat Queen dodged the sudden vortex and followed, crashing and slicing through trees with her wings as she landed. "USING THAT STRATEGY AGAIN, NOCEDA?!" She then screeched again.

Luz quickly dodged the sonic waves, jumping off her staff and grabbing it. She then used a spell she learned from the Construction Coven.

The branches of the trees all snapped themselves off and magically formed into some kind of pathway, which Luz slid across and then landed onto the ground. Luz then spun around her staff and blasted out another round of fire.

The Bat Queen covered herself with her wings and then flew back into the air, about to screech again until Luz went to her height, using an ice pillar. The Bat Queen screeched as loud as she could in response.

Luz held her head, and then slipped on the ice. She screamed as she fell, but her staff quickly flew over and caught her. Luz then landed on the ground again, panting.

The Bat Queen roared and then dove down, slashing Luz in the face with her talons.

Luz screamed and fell down, tumbling against the grass.

The Bat Queen cackled before enveloping herself in her wings, and then shapeshifting. Her wings disappeared and her furry body was now skin, covered by a black and green gown. The Bat Queen's face also changed, one of horrifying to gorgeous and porcelain.

Luz groaned before her neck was grabbed by the Bat Queen.

"I've also learned a bit of a new ability, witch~ One that could have you hand over your own palisman~" The Bat Queen whispered.

Luz grasped and struggled, but there was no escape. "Y-Yeah! I've seen what you can do! You're no match for-"

"Look into my eyes, wild witch~" The Bat Queen commanded, her beautiful eyes glowing green as she forced Luz to look at her.

Luz was confused. But as she looked into the glowing green, she began to see swirls. They kept swirling and swirling, and Luz felt like she couldn't look at anything else. Her eyes were glued to the swirls. They began to follow the swirls. Her body felt weak and she dropped her staff onto the grass.

"Ease your mind~ Fall to my spell~" The Bat Queen said with an evil grin.

Luz's eyes turned from their original color to a glowing green, her body almost limp as if she were dead.

"Awww, it's almost cute how easy teenagers fall to a beautiful face~ It's also just as sad." The Bat Queen said before whispering. "Sleep~"

Luz's eyes closed and she fell onto the grass, snoring softly.

The Bat Queen laughed before grabbing the staff. "Now for my-"

"HEY! BATSY!" A voice shouted.

The Bat Queen turned around before her face was smashed in, dispersing the spell and turning her back to her horrifying look as she fell unconscious.

Eda sighed as she gripped her bat before running over to Luz. "Luz?! Luz!!"

Luz groaned as she sat up. "What...? What happened?"

"Owl Lady just killed the Bat Queen!" King exclaimed, running over to the Bat Queen's body and poking her with a stick.

"Relax! I didn't kill her!" Eda said, walking over as she helped Luz to her feet.

"She's not breathing...and her head's kinda red-"

"Okay, maybe I killed her."
